I was putting up my Christmas Village light up houses yesterday and it hit me . . . I would LOVE it if Disney sold a Frozen Light up Snow Castle that could be used in a person's Christmas Village.

The 20th is coming up so soon! Woo-hoo!!!! Here's my dilemma....do I buy them for myself but not open them til Christmas? Can I really wait that long to see them? Lol

Wow they look absolutely beautiful!! Thanks for posting pictures!

Went to my store today and they said they're only getting four of each in... first come first serve. super nervous but I hope I can grab one!

Elsa's skin is shimmery! I wonder if the regular version will be that way as well. I'm not in love with her make-up, but it doesn't bother me enough to stop me from getting her. I'm so excited to get my hands on the separate versions of these dolls. I'm hoping to snag them online, but I may have to try for the store if that doesn't work.

Christmas really is the best (dolly) season

Dolls look beautiful! Let's hope that the issues with the pin fiascal this morning (pin apearing and disappearing on the site) doesn't happen to the dolls. Please stick to your regular release time DS.

Yep they're a beautiful set--buuuuut I hope Elsa's pearly skin is exclusive to these 100. It makes her look kind of alien. Congrats to all those who acquired them! It's kinda fun that this pair is so exclusive despite disney basically selling them directly to a scalper to jack up the prices so ridiculously.

I dunno, I like the idea of the pearly skin, but I just feel like it was executed poorly on the LE 100 set. Maybe if they did it on the cheeks, just to highlight some areas then it would work out a bit better, but it could also just be the flash from the camera exaggerating the shimmer? I can't tell lol, I'd love to see the doll in person. Although I will be trying to get the regular LE Elsa regardless!

All this talk about dollie bling is really tempting me to stock up on eyelashes and crystals and totally attack the 12" or singing doll versions >>' Maybe then I wont be so tempted to debox the LE ones if I get them

That doll set is so so stunning. I truly don't understand why on Earth it is so expensive. I mean, they are different, but not THAT different, and they don't even match dress-wise...I don't get it! It kills me to have to pass them up but I don't think I could get them unless I sold my car for what people are asking for them on eBay!

I can understand where you are coming from, it does cost a lot and really is unfair for Disney to do something like this. Whilst I was lucky enough to buy one it definitely was not cheap so I definitely agree in that I am hoping that Disney will not continue this trend. I do sort of feel bad that I resorted to buying it as I know that will just fuel Disney's fire but to be honest someone else would have bought it so even if I did or did not buy it it would not have made a difference to Disney as they still would have sold out like crazy.

To be honest what really scares me is how fast they sold out. This set cost about USD$800 AUD$900 so if you think about it the fact that 100 people were willing to buy them and they sold that fast is rather scary. Disney just made an easy USD$80,000 from those dolls which is just crazy if you think about it. It just makes me wonder is it because of the characters that they sold out so fast or because of the exclusivity? For example if they did this last year with Elinor and Merida would they have sold out just as fast or would they have taken longer. I know it is a little difficult to compare as people are more doll aware now than they were last year but if this trend keeps on going I fear that doll collecting is going to become a very expensive hobby for someone like me who is a completest.

Like you said ElysionsPrincess the amount spent on the dolls is enough to buy a second hand car which when put in perspective is rather scary LOL.

When did the Frozen..Harrods doll go on sale? I heard they were in-store only did they already sell them or not yet?

When I spoke to Harrods they stated that the store had just opened on Friday and the dolls were up for sale since Friday I also asked how many more they had and she told me that her colleague was just selling the last one however was also told that they still have some in storage which they need to take out so there still may be a few more but I dont see them lasting long. Also because a lot of people put them on hold if they were unable to process their order by the end of the day the hold was removed so I think first thing tomorrow when Harrods opens (so midnight PST time or 3 am EST time) they should have some available for sale again. I dont know how long it will last but by the sounds of things more people are now aware of them and they are selling out fast. So if you are considering getting one I would not hesitate and buy it while you can.

Something you just mentioned Polaris actually was a question I had...did they sell out bc of exclusivity or bc of the characters?? That can determine how easy or hard it will be to purchase the more economical versions being released later this month. If it was bc of the characters, the LE2500 may sale just as quickly as other disney princesses with more people having availability to them...I hoping we all get the dolls we want without too much trouble...if people are willing to pay $800USD then $100 is nothing...

Sorry Vandinni182, I didnt go through the previous posts so I must have missed yours, I do apologise about that but yes that is a good point. What do you guys think? Did these dolls sell out fast because of its exclusivity or because it was Frozen? I for one just think it was because of the exclusivity of the doll rather than the characters. Therefore I think the single LE dolls will still sell out but will not sell out as fast as we think.

I think they should be up for at least an hour if that. I am sure one will sell out faster than the other but I honestly dont believe that they will sell that fast though, especially with this LE100 set having just gone I think that will definitely help reduce the pressure on the LE2500 dolls.

LOL that is awesome! I love giant plushies, I bought the largest Olaf plushie that I could from the Disney Store. I would so buy one of those too if i was able to get it shipped but that would probably cost me more in shipping fees than it would for the actual item! Haha

Touche though, that is an awesome buy!

Try looking around. Your toys r us or places like that might have it. I forget what stores Australia's has.

LOL yeah we just have toys r us here, I guess that is the main "toys" only store that you would find here. There is another Mr Toys toyworld but I doubt they have those in the US. It is unlikely that they will have anything like that here because no one would buy it here haha. Thanks for the tip anyway I will keep an eye out for it. But to be honest with having spent so much money on dolls already I think I just need a break from Disney for a while haha.

I agree with that completely. I love Disney, but it's about time for me to come up for air. I am actually starting to think there's such a thing as too many dolls. If we keep going at this pace, will the market burn out? I'm thinking it won't because we're talking about Disney and there will always be new movies and new collectors. It's me that might get burnt out or at the very least, more picky. What I need is a break....after I get those Frozen dolls!
