I made the mistake of emailing a complaint to customer service at 3am (12PST) when the item went "up" but couldn't be purchased. I've since received two replies about the item being sold out. The first was: "I'm very sorry but the Anna and Else Limited Edition Pin - Frozen you are interested in purchasing is no longer available in DisneyStore.com." and the second email says "Regrettably the Anna and Elise pin was a limited edition item and it was only a few for purchase. The website at times has to catch up with the systems inventory. The pin does not say sold out on the web page however it will not let you place it in the bag because it is sold out." (in addition to the usual spiel of we can't predict popularity and we're sorry for any inconvenience).

Apparently none of the customer service people know who Elsa is yet. Else and Elise, lol. But it sounds like the official word is that they are sold out.

The ariel pin's was an exclusive online European, but ended up being sold in d23 and in worldwine web. The d23 snow white , became also LE 100 excluive in japan...

The frozen jumbo created for Europe.... is sold out today at US Com.

And the d23 sister's classic pack is now avaible online in the US

i think for the d23 Snow White for Japan it is because they also have d23 event this year. So at least THAT is still d23 exclusive!!! The only reason they are online now probably is because they didn't sell out during the expo, which last like 2 or 3 days? I have no idea.... It is surprise because other "regular" DFDC did sell out ( Yes, Ariel of course) Plus from what I discovered Japan DS store did get LE 17" Ariel and Cinderella, but I did not know how many they got. They are sold in select store only and not online, but they still create link for the only- sold - in - store items. I did go on the website and see Ariel still available few days after release on October 1st with no preorders like EU ( they still have the link up for the two dolls but state " sold out") but they did not get Eric and Ursula I think..... Maybe only getting higher edition size LE dolls? Or princess dolls?? It will be interesting to see if they get Frozen girls or not!

sorry I am Taiwanese and only understand some words in Japanese, so I don't know if there is any info about how many 17" they got on the page.....

You're confusing "serious pin collector" with "insane pin collector". Just because they list it for that doesn't mean it'll sell for that. Though some are just crazy or have a lot of disposable income I suppose. I've been collecting for over 15 years, and doubt I'd even pay that for the holiest of grails.
 
Congratulations Polaris on getting a doll set! :) share some pictures! I think the open edition snowlake pin of anna and elsa may be released and were selling on ebay at reasonable prices.
 
Yes, I got that pin and the opening day pin for Frozen for less than $20 each. I really love the opening day pin, it's Olaf, in a snow globe;)

no, I missed it. I was up at 1am (my time) and stayed up til almost 3 before I went to bed (Im at work right now) and missed it. I am just utterly crushed. I refreshed in vain for ages, only to miss out because it because available at 3am. I honestly cannot believe it. other than staying awake all night and risk losing my job, I cant figure out how I could have ever gotten this pin.

Thanks everyone! So excited I was able to get the set. Mel try give Harrods a call again tomorrow as they could have had some hold cancellations for those that didn't pick them up by the end of the day so I recommend calling them first thing in the morning. Good luck!

also anyone received a dreaded cancellation email from Disney store yet in relation to the frozen jumbo pins? Or is it still too early to tell?

No, I waited up for an hour and a half after the site refreshed constantly checking for the ability to buy it. I went to bed 15 minutes before it came back up again. I am probably just overtired, but my eyes watered when I saw that it came back again while I was sleeping. I would have been way less sad not knowing. I was there at the release time and think this is unfair of Disney. I'm glad many of you got it, just sad for myself!

I feel like I wrote this! I know its because Im crazy tired, but I totally got teary over it. Im mad at myself for getting so caught up, but also mad at Disney because I did everything "right" and Disney went bonkers and released the pin hours apart. I know I sound grumpy, but I really am happy for all of you who were able to snag a pin. I just wish I were one of you!
 
i can hand embroider efficiently enough that I think I could bling up a regular elsa doll, but her dress material looks kind of plasticy? (on the basic doll)

I'm not sure if it's too early or not but I just checked my bank account and it looks like Disney charged me twice...I only purchased one though...
