Does anyone have a picture of the mermaid pin set? I was sad to miss out on the Art of Ariel pin.
 
from someone who bought the LE Set in my french forum, she said , she called Harrods, and they were able to send her the set . Harrods charged 100£ for the shipping to France. But it seems it's possible you got the set without someone in the UK to do it for you.

Congratualtions Mel4616 and Polaris. I cannot wait to see the side by side comparison photos. I have been collecting dolls for a long time and this price is not so unusual when you see what BJDs and other exclusives go for in Dollyworld. I was tempted but I will be happy with the regular ones, hoping that will go smoothly for those who want them.

What I don't understand is why Disney keeps limiting the numbers on the editions to the point of dissatisfying customers, which they are well aware of. I am not talking about Harrods, because that may have been done for some buzz about their new boutique, but the Fairytale editions and these upcoming Frozen dolls. When all is said and done with their overhead, shipping from China, free shipping online etc , do they really make a lot of money on these? You would think that they would expand the editions for profitability. If they didn't sell out, they should ship them to the parks to sell at full price. Wouldn't it be great to stumble on something like that in the parks as most people are not even aware of these dolls.
 

I remember this summer when the 12" Merida Classic went on sale for $4 and then I saw people buying her in WDW for $20 :lol:
 
Forgive me, but I am completely new to doll buying.. But does anyone know if the LEs can be put on hold?? Like in case I can't come to the Disney Store at​ opening?

At every disneystore I've lived near, this was not allowed with limited edition items. When I first started, I even offered to pay for the item over the phone first, but no dice. I've asked for normal items to be held before, but not dolls. That's why ppl go early to line up. If we could hold the dolls, it would be a lot less stressful.

Umm...what happened with the Tangled dreams pin? Was it anything that would make this 2500LE of Elsa possibly sell out in Italy because they can buy up to ten now before everyone else and Disney actually sell it to them??? Sorry, I wasn't collecting pins until now
 
It's my understanding that a certain number of dolls is allocated to each country. So, people in Italy cannot simply purchase the entire inventory. If these sales are going through, it's likely that the Italian allocation of dolls will be gone long before we are able to purchase her in other markets. That doesn't mean that the other countries won't get any.
 
If Disney honors any sales, that is if they are actually able to checkout and complete transaction, that would be really unfair to those waiting to purchase from that website for Italy...I know the websites are all allocated their specific number of dolls but that would suck if Disney broadcasted one date but allowed successful sells prior to the said date even if it's a glitch...they should cancel these orders since they have been quick to cancel other legitimate orders I've heard from other collectors when the warehouse was actually out...and again, where's Anna?...lol
 

Ahhh...I thought so. Thank you for clarifying! Hopefully I'll be able to go when the store opens! Or I'll try my luck online.

It seems like the stores are getting small amounts of the LE Elsa and Anna. The store closest to me is getting 5 of each doll.....I've seen other people here post that their stores are getting lower than that:/ I wonder how early, I've gotta go to the store????
 
I was able to pick up the snow globe today, it's much smaller than all my other globes but I still love it. The pic doesn't do it justice but I thought I'd share my store only had 1 and I was able to use 25%off coupon

P.s. If you want to listen to the Frozen soundtrack some disney stores are playing it right now!!!!!

Is anyone familiar with typical disney christmas/black friday/cyber monday sales? I know they are doing 25% off right now but with those sales around the corner Im not sure if I should wait to get the most for my money I plan on building most of my frozen collection this month so any little bit of savings helps! I often find myself frustrated with disney because I tend to buy items and find them on sale a few weeks later, just outside thier refund date -.- Id love to hear what some of the savvy shoppers on here have to say
if its useful im interested in purchasing the toddler dolls, plush dolls including sven, snowglobe, clasic dolls, mugs, and ornaments
 
The Snow Globe is very cute, I'm thinking about getting one. I just wish that they could have a different pose in some of the merchandise.
 
As a kid I always really wished I could take the toys out of snowglobes to play with them... so having the option of buying them as ornaments actually suits me just fine XD I just wish they had better face painting and a more elaborate setup >> but i may buy anyways and just be extra happy if more appear later!
