I am getting really turned off to trying to trade through pinpics anymore! Hardly anyone responds to trade requests, and when they do, most of the time they turn it down, and on the occasion they do accept it, its lopsided in their favor, or they counter with a lopsided trade. I have sent out hundreds of extremely fair requests, but no one seems to be interested in those. For example I will offer an OE for another OE with similar w/t ratios. Ive also offered multiple LE pins for 1 LE. I always try and gauge what is fair and more than not, the trade tends to be in their favor. Why doesnt anyone respond? Should I just give up? I don't want to seeing as how I can't make it to the park very often. The internet has been used for the majority of my trading. Anyone have any insight? But for me the most important question for me is, does anyone want to trade? lol

On a side note I am looking for the last two WDI Cars Christmas pins to complete the set... 94538 and 94541
 
I recently send out a large variety of trades for a few pins I needed, some very lopsided in their favor. I even asked in the comments for a response either way. I checked and these members had added recent pins to their collection, so I know they are still active. Not one response. I am hoping that whenever the new pinpics is rolled out the trade assistant is automatically turned off so that the people who are just using it for a database aren't shown in the trades. I am pretty much done with pinpics trading and now relying solely on eBay searches for my hard to find pins.
 
I've had this problem so often. I thought it was just me.

I've been after the few enchanted pins in my wants that actually are listed on Pinpics for a long time.

I've added things from my collections to trades, sent messages saying I will trade multiples on my end for 1 pin on theirs.

I get no response.

It is a little disheartening, but those of us that live far from the parks, don't really have any other options.

I hope none of your trade requests came to me, I apologise if I don't respond, I hardly use pinpics for trading anymore for the same reason, nobody responds hardly, and I get a lot, a whole lot of lopsided trades. I always forget to open the requests, when I do open them I respond, mabey I should be more diligent and check daily and respond, it's frustrating though, I do the same I make a fair trade offer and get turned down or never get a response.
 
Not sure if it has anything to do with it but I know some people have problems with the trade requests going into their junk folders rather than inboxes. I had a request come through the other day which I was going to reply to but accidentally deleted my junk mail and lost the email >_<.
 
I have the same problem on pin pics with people not responding most of the time. I do however have a couple people who've answered trade requests but only when I'm offering a DSF pin or PTD and I do get a couple who do turn down my requests. I for one do respond to every one of my requests. So If you ever want to trade you can always see if I have anything you'd like to trade for. I don't have much right now but plan on getting more traders in march.

That could be part of it, cause that has happened to me a couple times but I have fixed it. I really think its just people who just dont care enough to respond...

anyway,if people shut off their pinpics trade assistant i dont believe their pins show up when you ask what can i get for my pin. So people either are putting pinpics in their junk folder OR have long ago switched their email and didnt update pinpics OR look at your request and if not interested delete it. I have made thousands of requests im sure. in fact every time i log in a trader i do a trade search. I dont take it personal...try not to get discouraged.

What does chafe my *** is this. Three days ago i get a great triple request. This person offering a DSF for one of my 3 BT and i reply YES which pin do you want? i woulda even traded 2 BT cause it was a tangled pin,,,,anyway thats it never heard from them again.

Or this happened twice this month. I get an offer for a trade. I agree to the trade. we exchange addys. I print my paypal lable THEN i get an email that they cant find the pin THEY OFFERED. Now we all have accidentally accepted an offer before checking for a pin cause our pinpics says we have it and we forgot we traded it but how do you OFFER a pin. Anyway in one of these cases i already maled so i looked and found an identical pin in addition/trading etc to the one they offered and now they ae pissy cause they think that pin is worth so much and i should give them 2 pins for it. oh bite me.
 


My bad, you have full permission to whack me over the head, Jordan has an ear infection and fever, and has been miserable, for the last few days I forgot to look on my calender, I'll do it right now.
 
Yes i have to agree with pinpics. Recently ive sent out numerous fair trade requests and i never here back. There arethe occasions that i do hear back, most likely ifs its in the favor of another trader though. Maybe pinpics should reset the website or have the active users send an email saying they still use it? This way they can get an idea of how many people are still using the site.
 
Yeah inbox problems I get that often and always forget to check lol
I did however find one in my spam folder today but it was lopsided hehe......ah the fun of Pin pics
 
My last trade on pinpics was a flop and I am glad I held on to my pin. A got a request from Belgium for my batb PODM for the jumbo ptn Ariel and stitch its been three months and I have yet to get my pin.
 
This topic comes up quite often.

A new peeve of mine that's been happening lately is someone sends US a trade request, we accept it, and then we don't hear back from that person. Yet 2 days later we get the SAME request from them. :dunno:

Or one of our better ones- we accepted someone's trade request that they sent us and then they responded "maybe". That's it, just one word. "Maybe" to their own trade request. And again a few days later sends another request offering the same pin but asking for much higher rated pins from us. :facepalm:

Oooooh I would have accepted that trade too! thats a cool pin, sorry the trade flopped, I hope you get your pin.
 
Well, I know any pinpics requests sent to me are "junked". I'm have hotmail and am using their Spam fighter program. Ever so often I get an e-mail from hotmail asking me if a particular e-mail is junk or not. Once in awhile, I see a pinpics request as the e-mail. I tell them it is not junk, then it disappears and I never see it again. And I never see any e-mails in my "junk" folder (pinpics or otherwise). Anyone know how to fix that particular problem?
 

Hello, I got a trade request from you today and have answered positvely ! hopefully we can agree a trade!

My problem is my location !
I accept trade requests, all agreed then I mention my location and then................nothing, not even an email saying trade is off
 

I got a better one than that !

I received a trade request, replied yes I accept and then got a reply saying no thanks !

They sent out the trade !

I dont respond to trade requests unless I'm interested - this subject has been raised before and many people said they did not like getting lots of "No Thank you's".

On the other hand, I have responded yes to many trade requests and never heard from the other party.

Its not all bad though, I have struck up many trades over the years using Pinpics.
 
I had one last week where they offered me a pin for my pin that was fair, was even a little more in their favor IMO, I replied back I'd like to trade, then they sent back "well what other pin are you going to add to it?" Um, none.

i try to reply to my TAs, but miss some, unfortunately
Some days I get very few replies to the TAs I send out, but the one or two I get mean I still do lots of trading
