I recently found one of my grails, but the person wants like $300+ for it. It is a hard pin to find too. I don't want to spend that much though.
Can anyone relate?

That's happened to me on eBay plenty of times. I got lucky once though. I contacted the seller and poured my heart out and they lowered their asking price drastically and I was able to buy the pin. Granted, I didn't get a deal but I didn't get totally ripped off. Good luck!

Our little mermaid pins are neve easy to come around. That sucks bbig time. And I know it's like "OmG I must have that Ariel pin.!" but $300.00. That's just being. A greedy seller. Very disappointing.

Some may be greed but you also don't know what people have invested. I have paid $200 more than once for hard pins. If I ever sold them (which I wouldn't cause they are Pan pins :) ) I would want what I invested in them if possible.

Maybe ask them if you can do payments? I really wanted a pin that's $100, so although they wouldn't budge on the price (because they originally paid more for it), I asked them if they would do payments over a couple of weeks, so that's what I'm doing now :) they took the listing off eBay for me and were super nice. Just as long as you're prepared to wait for the pin until you've completely paid, it's worth asking. :) just my opinion.

yeah i agree,
i have some hard pins that i paid alot for and those are the ones people want but say it is out of their price range and dont have any of my wants. i want them to have the pin for their collection since it is doing me no good but i dont want to lose on the deal. i do think there are greedy people who know pin traders really want some pins and take that to their advantage. sad but true,

Happy trades

I lost a grail on the bay. The LE 100 cat pin with every cat on it. I was winning at $127 with 8 seconds left when snipers got it for over $230. Arrrrgggghhhh!

I can't buy pins but I've tried to trade for plenty of pins and the person wants way more than what I feel it's worth. Unfortunately it happens, people want as much as they can get for things, especially hard to find pins. :(

I'm curious since I'm still relatively new... how much *do* people consider paying for a single pin, if it's a grail? I know that's really subjective and depends on a lot of factors, but... would you ever spend $200-$300 on *any* single pin if you had the money to spare?

Anything over $50 turns me down on a pin since I am just starting, lol
But really I hate spending money so any turn me down, but being Disney collectables that can have a resale value are what keep me buying x)

Im a little afraid as to what my grail pin might cost me, I have yet to see it on the bay :(

I almost did a few weeks ago. ;___; A pin I have never seen on ebay before had a BIN price of $349.99, I sent in a best offer and the seller responded with $315. Which I was prepared to do. But then someone went and bought it straight out before I made my decision. :( Oh well, saved me loads of money I guess.

for those curious, it was this pin:
