Was any of the Peter Pan and Hook merch sold at the expo? I have seen pictures of merch related to all of the other dolls except Peter and Hook. I haven't even seen the diorama they had set up for them at the expo.

Does that 'DFDC general release pre-order' mean pre-order for the whole set? I only want Rapunzel, Snow and Elsa.

The preorder for the "Whole Complete Set" is on September 14. For individual releases of the dolls you will either attend the raffles in stores for the dolls or purchase them online the next day. Only the complete set will get a preorder.

Have you heard that it will be raffles instead of first-come, first-served? I would be upset if it is!

I got it. Thanks for the info.

Unfortunately the Designer Dolls in store are always raffled unless not enough people show up at your local store.

Ugh, I'm not pleased about that I can control showing up extra early if I really want a set but there's nothing I can do about a raffle. That's frustrating. It also looks like it's not a morning release but one at noon? How strange.

Thanks for letting me know.

The raffle beginning at noon is how it's been for the last two releases. I don't mind it since I'm always off on Tuesdays, but it's nice not having to worry about getting there super early.

I know I'm late to the party here, but I have to say I'm just about as sad as I was when the news of the OUAT dolls being exclusive was first revealed.

They are so beautiful. I hope a larger edition size is made for all of us fans and doll collectors!

I also hope the people trying to sell D23 Elsa and Hans have to lower their prices. I'd really love to have them but I can't afford $600. I understand some people literally waited all night long for these dolls and I would be happy to pay extra to compensate that. But these "sorcerer packages" just seem like a way for rich people to get richer by selling merchandise on the secondary market.

Clearly the worst is the 300 edition size for the OUAT dolls. $1500 is way too steep. Especially when they retailed for $129 and are in flimsy packaging. I've pretty much given up on buying them. Even signed, I don't think they are worth that much.

Ah. I am very excited for all the other releases though!!! I just started collecting in January so these Designer Fairytale dolls will be my first chance at retail. I'm in love with Rapunzel, Elsa and Anna. I am also planning to try for Frozen Fever Anna, she is breathtaking and has beautiful colors and she comes out near my birthday.

It's going to be a very busy October and November!!

The price of D23 Elsa and Hans has already dropped. I grab one from Ebay at $470 (no including shipping). I see some bids ended at about $450.

I am keeping a very close eye on the Helsa sets. I have to wait a little longer though. I'm still not 100% sure how much I feel comfortable paying.

I checked ebay again and its price seems even lower now. I guess there're bunches of incoming dolls awaiting, so not many people are willing to pay 3-4X price but save up to grab some at retail price.

My first D23 exclusive! I got super lucky - someone local was selling this for $350. When I met up with him he even acknowledged that they go for more on eBay, but that he just wanted to sell the set for enough to make back some of his plane ticket back home. I can't even express how happy I am given that Coronation Elsa means so much more to me than Snow Queen Elsa. I'm not sure if I'll debox, but if I do I will share pics.

Congratulations! That's a wonderful price!

Wow! unbelievable price! Congrats!

Some people sell quickly to make a quick profit while others are willing to wait it out. With the DFDC #3 set coming out in another month, that might spur some sales of the D23 exclusive? Who knows? If anyone can tell the future, please let me know the winning lottery numbers :)

I'll say what I said in the discussion thread re: price scalping on the red Jasmine:

Prices dropping depends on several factors:
1. How long those who bought can sit on it. Those sorcerer ticket holders can afford to sit on it (heck, they paid $2000 for their tickets and still had to camp out.) Assuming each sorcerer ticket holder got one, that's 300 of those gone and 723 to others.
2. How many dolls went to people who were going to resell versus to save for their collection. Let's assume that half went to collectors (512) and the other half (511) went to resellers. That means there are 511 dolls out there that can be bought by others.
3. How many 12" designer doll completists are there? Well, really there can only be 250 (because of the D23 Silver Cinderella in 2011) but other than that, the next lowest doll is D23 Gold Snow White (LE600).

A lot of doll collectors prefer the 12" dolls to the 17" dolls. Me, I'm not sure which one I prefer most, I have 17-18 of the 17" dolls (not including duplicates as I like to get more than one and compare to decide which I want to keep) and I have 14-15 of the 12" dolls. And that's not including my non-Disney dolls either.

I saw your post there and I have to say I quite agree with you (at least most of it).

Wow thank you all for the close up photos, ive not been able to find any clear ones, esp of tink and of rapunzel's face mold. I never thought i would say this but im loving the hag! Ha im collecting the dolls for my daughter but i dont think she will be too pleased with the hag, i initially wanted to go with peter and hook to complete our fairy collection but im actually moving more towards rapunzel and mother gothal, does nayone have any more close up photos of them?

Also i know its usually only pre orders in the US but will the UK disney take pre orders too?
