That was my initial understanding as well, but as it progressed it just became more and more suspicious. It was also suggested that his email was faked (the one he used to prove he was corresponding with someone). I'm just going off of what I was told by numerous people in an effort to protect me. I do apologize if it isn't correct, I don't mean to insult anyone! If this is up for discussion however it would be right to edit the names out (seeing as it isn't proven it is him?). I might have misunderstood, and for that I apologize! I'm just confused, now! I still wouldn't recommend anyone making a trade for that pin in particular, seeing as the image was stolen and no proof could be given. When I DMed him he didn't answer me either, which I didn't understand.

I been very confused as well i just everything gets solved pin trading suppose to be fun:)

It wasn't a misunderstanding. He never got a trade request for the pin. He faked the whole thing, he even faked emails to and from himself, to see who would offer him grail pins. He posted screenshots of the emails, and forgot to scratch out the email addresses properly. Both the emails were his. When he realised this he deleted everything. End of story.

I had to put my profile on private because a few of his followers started attacking me verbally, even though I never insulted any of them once.

I am done with this situation, he got called out again, traders beware...

I am going to post this again as it is very relevant right now.

Everybody should remember if you are trading valuable pins with a new trader you should use a go between. Then both traders can send their pins to a neutral party and when both pins are received in good condition then and only then will the pins be shipped to the traders.

I think the mods here have said they would act as the neutral party. I am also available to help in this if you would like. I believe Judy (tiggermickey) has also volunteered to do this.
 
How very sad, indeed. I am so sorry to hear some have lost valuable pins to this human being. An the gall, to send an empty envelope...beyond, belief.
I would like to have this person's info too. I do not want to get caught, off-guard.

I also follow redablazepin on Instagram and even purchased a pin from him on March 24th - David mentioned the trader's email is bboybracer@aim.com so now I know that it is indeed him, since I still have the payment receipt on PayPal. I had to chase after this guy for weeks to get my pin (he never sent me shipping confirmation nor acknowledged my persistent requests for an update) but I did manage to receive it in the mail finally.

As I was reading through this thread, things started sounding more and more familiar (the names used, location, kinds of pins being offered) until someone mentioned the Brave pendant pin. Then it all clicked and I realized who the trader was from seeing the discussion on Instagram. Like Princessdorothy, I was under the impression that this guy lifted the picture from here on DPF to ask other people if it was a legit pin, owned up to this and tagged the original owner of the image, but then a firestorm ensued. At first I thought it WAS a misunderstanding but seeing how many of you guys have been cheated out of very nice pins by this guy, I'm not so sure. Many honest (albeit drama magnet) pin traders on Instagram stand by redablazepin and say he is a legit person but it's all evidence to the contrary.

My best friend has been after this guy for WEEKS about a cruella pin that he has yet to produce. Granted, it's not a $200+ pin but she was so upset by how rude his responses were when she questioned him after a solid month of waiting. He claimed he had "family issues" yet was regularly posting pictures of him camping out at DSF pin releases without a care in the world.

If you plan on trading with someone without any kind of reference, no secure way of contact, and especially on Instagram, find a way to secure yourself in the trade. If someone has a problem with a go-between person, question them. Instagram is the wild west of pin trading and you don't know who you can trust.

This is the reason that if he is a member here, he needs to be called out so everyone will know not to deal with him.
 
Were these trades executed through PinPics?

Multiple accounts or not, we have the ability to ban/block entire IP's to prevent repeat offenders.

Reach out and file a trade issue report!
 
As a pin trader/collector, I do sympathize with those who want to be able to 'call out' or publicly identify those people who are (shall we say?) less than honest in their trading/selling practices or otherwise are generally best avoided. The problem is that (puts on administrator's hat), for far too many reasons to discuss, calling out both members and other traders/sellers for transactions that happen elsewhere just isn't appropriate.

If you have a transaction with a member *here*, I cannot stress enough the importance of leaving feedback - especially if said transaction goes sideways. And it's even more important to *check* feedback scores before entering into a transaction with someone with whom you never have traded/bought/sold before. If the feedback system is used correctly and honestly, there will be no need to 'call out' or publicly identify any of our members as 'bad traders'; the resulting bad feedback scores soon will make those members painfully obvious.

Regardless of whether you are trading here on DPF, on PinPics, or through one of the countless internet forums that since have surfaced, always use common sense before agreeing to a trade. Remember that if something seems too good to be true, it very likely is. As I said, when trading here, always check references, and when trading with someone new, with very few references, or just trading high value pins, consider using a third party to make the trade, as was previously suggested. It's a little more expensive because of the extra postage involved, but I think the piece of mind and extra protection it provides both parties is well worth it. Any neutral party agreed-upon by both traders can be the third party; as stated above, both DPF Staff and Docfish/David are willing to be third parties. The help is there, all you have to do is ask for it.

I think so Sasha. I am a member of a few of the fantasy pin groups (not all, even I know more exist than I am a part of) and there was talk about it in a few groups. Hopefully he doesn't have a manufacturer that will put the Disney insignia on the back!
