Is this a good trade?

I wouldn't do it.

Anna and Elsa is going for 45+ and rising steady and there's one of these ariel pins BIN on Ebay. If you want it I'd sell your Anna and else, but the ebay ariel, and have an extra 20 - 30$

The trade is lopsided, but trades are made for negotiations. Many time people ask to trade which is lopsided and I will decline. BUT I responded, they will respond back and ask to negotiate.

And I don't think its fair to necessarily say they are trying to rip the OP off. Remember that not all people use ebay to gauge the value of their pins. If I was new or didn't really have experience valuing pins, I might consider an older Japan Little Mermaid pin to be of equal value.

If you do really want the pin, and the trader is willing to negotiate, I would explain to the trader how you value your pin and point out ebay prices on both. If they say no to negotiating, at least you tried. If they say yes, then you both get pins that you like and everyone's happy

WOWWWWW.
Hi there.

Talk about rude?

You could have asked if I could have added more to the trade? I am shocked to see how people react when they don't know the face behind the trades.

I'm crying right now. This site makes me sick sometimes.

I didn't even know the Ariel was listed on eBay, I can't find it anywhere. I don't use eBay to value my pins. I was more than patient and honest about the pin's size.

THIS is why I don't want to trade anymore. I am seriously appalled that I am being accused of trying to rip someone off. She came to me about the pin anyways!!

Alex, you were very kind to me and got back to me and I appreciate that. I would love to attempt to trade with you again if you give me the chance. Just please let me know if you ever think I'm being unfair and I will do anything in my power to add to it

Just say no!!!They are trying to rip u off...

Edited so I don't get another infraction. Still think your a fool for thinking its a *rip off*

I think the trade is close, Ariel Japan pins don't just magically appear all the time. People have hyped up the Frozen pins and everyone thinks they are worth more than they are.

@barrieralex If you don't feel the trade is fair, it is alright to ask them to add something. The value of the pin is what you want it to be.

I was super overwhelmed this weekend with the amount of people wanting my pin so I didn't ask her to add anything to the trade. I decided to list the pin on the auctions forum instead. I wasn't trying to be rude by declining the trade

You were not rude to decline. That is not what I am upset with. I am not upset with you AT ALL so I'm sorry if I worded it in a way that could be taken as such. You were beyond polite and caring and got back to me. I couldn't have asked for better. I think you were smart to hold on to it to be honest, that didn't offend me in the slightest.

What offends me is how fast people are to accuse people of trying to rip people off or call "unfair" when they didn't know the traders involved or the details of the transaction. I just feel attacked by others here and it makes me very very upset.

I can see how you would be upset. Hugs! I know you to be a great trader! I know the OP wasn't implying otherwise, but I just thought I'd throw it out there. Sometimes pin trading seems to get rather nasty. It's too bad, but I suppose it's the same with any other hobby.

I think its a shame so many people said just buy the frozen pin instead of working out a trade. Seems pin trading is getting harder and harder these days.

I mean I know I'm new myself but from my short experience its what I'm picking up.

I think that pin 'value' is subject to so many things, and most of all is different for every trader. If OP really wanted the Ariel and EP really wanted the frozen then I think that would be a perfect trade. But again, if OP was offered pin(s) she wanted MORE than the Ariel I can understand that she would decline the first offer to go with the second.

EP don't feel bad or upset. We know you weren't trying to rip OP off, and for you and many others that would have been a fair trade xx

I feel very bad. It seems I started something horrible in this thread which was not my intentions and I have spoken to both people.

I don't think it's a shame, I did not consider who they were trading with because I didn't know.

Most people know I'm a reallllly easy trader, but the majority of people would rather get more bang for their buck and as such I responded in the way I did. I RESEARCHED both pins, and based off of wants/trades, monetary values and speaking with others on the pins I came to the conclusion I did.
