Just wondering... what happened to Stitch?
I blame myself. I started collecting Tangled, and Brave now everyone wants to be like me. :coffee:
Hahahahaha! Yep, yep guilty. You made Brave/Tangled hot xD
Seriously though, I think it's just because they are the new princesses. Although, if that's the case, I dunno why Tiana doesn't get more love. I've heard some call her kind of a nag/stick in the mud which is so too bad because yes, she's a bit like that in the beginning but by the end she's super lovable and is always kind and caring. I love how she tries to kiss Naveen but gets too grossed out and screams xD
As far as Stitch goes, I really think he's a victim of over saturation in pins I used to collect Stitch but honestly, there's just waaaay too many that I want that I've come to feel it's impossible and as some have mentioned, the prices his pins go for are pretty high end still. I think some people are just tired of the prices and feel that they can't keep up with the sheer number of pins there are. Also, as for me, I have other more loved characters that I'd rather be collecting first and fore most than Stitch. Sorry Stitch -_-;
I do want to collect all the Stitch pins with Snow White characters but the LE100 one is really expensive. The other ones are fairly reasonable.
I collect Stitch an find that his pins are still quite expensive and some are really hard to find.
Did you find one up for sale!?! I've yet see one up for sale. Then again, I've only been trading for 6 months now. She's a Japan pin and really hard to find.
Do you mean the Stitch Invasion one? That one isn't just expensive...it's nearly impossible to find! With only 3 people who rarely if ever respond on Pinpics (they do, but next to never) and it hasn't shown up on Ebay within the past few years...yeah...that one is just darn impossible haha xD
Yes! That is the one. I want it but its one of those pins I'll get in my dreams. I do plan on just buying the 3 Stitch/Snow White pins in my signature. They tend to be under $50, which is my max limit for pins at the moment. Hence why I'll never get the Stitch invasion pin.
lol Let's go! Put it to the test!!! Start a Darla collection!!! lol Imagine if she became the in thing? No arguments on my side haha xD
It's funny you mentioned that because I am trying to collect Darla. No one will trade her with me.

Jenna!!! JENNA!!! Did you start collecting Darla already!!!! Oh no! QUICK! Everyone, go buy Darla pins ASAP! She is the next Rapunzel, Jenna has foreshadowed this moment in history O____O jkjkjk
lol it isn't just you, that pin is among every Stitch collector's "dream pins" and for most of us, it isn't because it is expensive. Honestly, if that pin came up for $200, I'd drop $200 so fast and be in debt (most of the Stitch Invasion pins are put for $200 but don't sell for that high), but I wouldn't care because I know I'd pay it back. It is because the pin NEVER...EVER...appears. 2008 was the last record of it being on Ebay just in case someone wanted to know lol and that pin is so rare. That pin is one of my holiest grails (easily my highest wanted Stitch pin but I often forget about it just because hope is lost every other week haha...) and I really don't know what is so rare about it. I don't even know any single Stitch collector who has possession of that pin and if you go onto Google, I can't even find an image of what that pin looks like in real life.
So at this moment, join me when I say (in denial) that that pin doesn't exist haha xD
I think it has to do with the fact that the dwarfs marching is one of the most iconic Disney images. To top it off, its a LE100 which makes the pin rather rare. It also hasn't been scrapped, like some pins in the series, so it doesn't pop up on ebay. If the pin ever appears on ebay, I'll let you know. I can pretend the pin doesn't exist forever because I wont be able to afford it/will never have anything of value to trade for it.
I know how you feel lol Generally I will never break my budget because my mom will get so mad at me (I fear she'll make me drop pin trading) but if an opportunity like THAT arose for that pin!!! I might have to take it...I mean, the only pins I'd ever break my budget for are that pin and the LM Stained Glass pin (grail of all grails...come on haha) but it always seems like when I'm so close to it, something goes wrong that leads to me not being able to get it At least the LM Stained Glass pin though comes around once every few months it seems which is why I often wait. The Stitch one is so far once in 5 years O___O I don't want to be 24 before it comes up again (and that's IF it came up now!!!).
I mean, I understand it being iconic, adorable, and amazing, but I don't see how nobody even has a photo of it! I've never seen it in anyone's collection on here or Pinpics, on Ebay, on Google...anywhere! I want to know who owns these 100 pins (if you're reading this Darris...I'm looking at you!!! jk) haha thank you, IF it ever appears is the key word ;D But I probably can't go any higher than $200 and if it went on Ebay, I'm expecting it'll be priced at like $500 or something haha :|
Gee, I wonder if I put some of these Stitch pins up for sale if anyone would be interested??? Maybe I could raise a little $ so I could go to Disneyland for my birthday next month?? hmmmm ... must give this some serious thought. Soooo many of my pins are still wrapped up in their original packaging so they don't even get to see the light of day, lol! Aloha! *bjr
It never comes up. If it ever shows up on ebay it will be as expensive as the R/C Rapunzel. You would be spending a small fortune on that pin. The sad thing is, you know someone would and ruin everyone elses chance of ever owning it.
Im still collecting Stitch, just havent seen as many pins that catch my eye though
I blame myself. I started collecting Tangled, and Brave now everyone wants to be like me. :coffee:
I'm not complaining. Tired of those old collections. There's a new generation of traders that have exploded in the last 2-2.5 years. They want Tangled, Brave, Up, Wall-E, princesses. Pretty much the pixar movies they grew up with. The princesses will always be popular, Little Mermaid, BatB, Cinderella are classics for every little girl.
The AIW live action with Johnny Depp was a bust and failed to reinvigorate the genre with youger collectors. Peter Pan is kind of old except for Tink which every little girl loves and she is always featured on items from hats to totes to shirts to candy. Maybe the 60th anniv. will help Pan but I'm not too sure. Jessica feels so 80's to me. I was born in the 80's but she's kinda represents those awful 80's glam photo's women still hang up in their house with crazy big hair, overly blushed cheeks, frosted vignettes.
Stitch I feel was just over done the last 10 years and is tired. It's too much to get into. Too many LE100's. The same can be said for Tink I suppose but she has seemed to stand the test of time better than Stitch. Even though I think Stitch is still popular. I just get Stitch to trade away. And he usually goes quick. So Stitch is still popular.
