Up pins are some of our faves and we've been begging for variety in them [/pointing to the many, many grape soda pin versions].

The CM in charge of this decision (to limit them to 150) should have known, even at LE 300, these pins would sell out immediately. Creating such a low edition seems illogical, at best.

Supply/demand economics is basic - they'd have made more cash flow and increased the magic for more people with a larger edition in this series. Creating [basically] hysteria isn't magical to me.

They need someone with good pin-knowledge and a good eye working for them. I vote for Margaret or MaeBlum! ;)
 
I feel like everyone is being a little overdramatic. I'm sure people will be getting "testy" and bitchy if more than 150 people show up but I'm sure no one is going to get trampled or injured or get in a fist fight. If so...then WOW....your dumb.

And as for them cancelling releases...never gonna happen. This one alone will generate close to $10,000 just by selling the le 150s only. Disney loves $$$ too much to let that go away. They gotta pay their hollywood blvd. rent.

I also feel like by everyone calling DSF and either complaining and/or wishing them "good luck" is probably overhyping the possibility of madness. Its like people are almost warning them that they are coming and going to act like an animal so to expect it.

A "mob mentality" has definately set in!! And changing the addition size to 300 would have not "fixed" anything because, with the current rules, each person could have purchased two each -- meaning, only 150 people would have the opportunity to purchase. Interesting to note that the person that is selling (2 have sold/1 still available) the sets on ebay for $235 is in WEST SACRAMENTO -- that is over 8 hours away from DSF -- guess they needed to pay for their gas and/or plane tickets (LOL)!! And the $10,000 they are going to make on this release will be nothing if they get sued because someone got hurt!!

Disney (like WalMart) doesn't settle lawsuits very quickly so if anyone gets hurt, I wouldn't expect them to offer any compensation.
 
Remember, a pin to the eyes is not a legal move. An upper-cut, perfectly acceptable.

Everyone try to relax, take a deep breath in, and wish each other good luck on Saturday.
 
If pin trading at DSF goes away it will be our own fault for not controlling ourselves. No one is making anyone go to the store at 5:00 AM to get them. We are responsible for our own actions and if we cannot behave like civilized people then we deserve what we get. I've lined up early to buy pins and the lines were orderly and calm. If we really want the pins, we have to act like civilized folks and do the right thing.
 
people should be nicely not mean like GO BACK AT THE END OF THE LINE that is mean they should say i am sorry no cuts can you please go to the end of line thank you that what people should have say

I thought of that too cause you know how peopel in So Cal freak out over a little rain! It wont be 100 degrees either at 7am like it was for that first Jessica decades release-yuck!

I'm bummed they're releasing the Lady & the Tramp marquee that morning with these because L&T is my main collection, & with all the madness we think will be going on, I'm sure it will sell out. Is anyone here taht is going that can pick one up for me? I can paypal you the money, or if I have something you'd like to trade?

We have listened to and read every comment, and have decided to revise the rules a bit for the pin release Saturday. Thank you for you patience everyone! Please share the new rules with all your pin trading friends!

NEW PIN RULES (2.2.12)
UP PIN RELEASE "UP"DATE: In order to ensure everyone has an opportunity to purchase the new releases on Sat. Feb. 4th, we will be implementing new procedures. Please help us out, and share the information with all your pin trading friends.
1. Pin Traders may begin to line up Friday at 11:00 PM.
2. Saving spots in line will not be allowed, and security will be onsite to enforce.
3. No cutting.
4. No "in and outs" of line, except for bathroom use.
5. Vouchers will be handed out at 9:00am.
6. Once you have received the voucher you may no longer leave the line.
7. All pin traders must be present with their vouchers at time of purchase.
8. Cast Member discounts will only be valid for the cast member's allotted set.
9. Pin Trader Delights will be limited to two (2) per person per day. Phone orders will no longer be available for Pin Trader Delight Sundaes.
 
oh jeez. K, I'm out. Sucks because people can't act like civilized adults that the alternative is to sit on hollywood blvd. for 13 hours. So unecessary...
 
I guess they cant do right for doing wrong. They changed the rules just like they did with the tangled UK pin and look what happened there now they let people queue up over night like Ive read they normally do for a release and now people are giving out. Reading the few comments on there facebook page calling them weak and caving in.

Thats all they need is pin traders to say not fair for the queueing and now turn tables and call them weak. All they did was try to listen to what peple want and they gave yet its not good enough??
