I had to share this story with someone who gets it
We have five kiddos, 2 of them being identical twin boys that are 10. They are in fourth grade and recently the subject of girls has been coming up, with one of them picking on the other. When I ask if they like anyone, they say, "GROSS!" etc.
Yesterday was their class party at their school. I take turn being room mom's since they are in seperate classes and was in Luke's class yesterday. As we were cleaning up, another mom was standing over with a large group of girls. I went over to tell her goodbye and noticed that they were circled around a little girl who was holding some Disney pins in her hand (you know where I'm going with this don't you!!) I said, "are those Disney pins?" and the other mom turns around and says "well, that answers our question, you didn't know!" Sure enough, Luke had picked some of his favorite pins off his pin board in his room and wrapped them up for Madi for Christmas. I was so stunned at how sweet it was, but also at what great pins he gave her
I waited until we got in the car and asked him about it. Sure enough, they "like" each other and he was mortified that I found out about his gift. I made him promise that next time he would ask me before he did something like that so we could go and get her something she would want, but told him I was proud of him for his generous heart. Sure enough, Madi's mom called last night to make sure it was ok that she had the pins. Of course we told her it was fine, but to please let us know if Madi decided to get rid of them.
I just had to share...I guess Luke thinks a way to a woman's heart is Disney pins. Smart man
