So, my pinpics trade requests come today and I politely decline most, as usual. Sometimes I don't respond, but if I do it's usually just a "No Thanks" which I think is nice considering most don't even respond. Well, apparently he doesn't like me and wished to not even send me a request in the first place! So here's how you do that. In case you missed the many threads before. But I have pictures!!

1. Make a trade
2. Click in "My Pinpics" seen below
3. Click "Click here to view your current pending trade requests. seen below
4. Check the trade / name you don't want to make and hit that delete button!!

Now. Sometimes the person is listed as anonymous, like the guy below! He's not listed as one of the people trading those pins. So you can't always know who it is your trading with. But if he knew to look, I'm not anonymous and he could have saved himself from reading my "bold" as he called it "No thanks" response. So hopefully this helps a few of you now know how to delete a trade request before it goes out

Also, trade requests are stored until the next morning, so you can make a request at 10am, and you could delete all the way up to around 3am PST the next morning before your trade actually gets sent. So you can change your mind after you hit the submit button.

So don't be like this guy!

FYI, you DO have control who it goes out to. You can see the names in pinpics and delete who you don't want. Learn to use pinpics. It's under "My Pinpincs" link and then "Click here to view your current pending trades."

Sorry for even sending you a request. As you know I have no control over who they go out to, but I would never trade with you anyway. Might be best to just block each others e-mails. Otherwise, feel free to ignore my request as I personally would prefer to not interact with someone like you at all.
Thanks

Wow. That guy was rude. He didn't need to say "I personally would prefer to not interact with someone like you at all."
Anyway, I applaud you for not responding to it. It would've been hard for me to ignore a comment like that.

No need for a comment like this right? Everyone's entitled to their own opinions but to post a comment thats basically saying "your offer sucked" im sure is not allowed. Lets keep it civil :)
you are putting words in my mouth. I did not say that nor mean it that way. The trade to want ratio is not there. Unless said person was offering all three pins, then it's a different story. I'm asking you kindly cat, why is it you single me out to quote when others said this person was rude or an a$$? I have been doing great on the forum and I'm not about to start now. So try as you may.
If it was you, which with that quote, I don't want to speculate, but if it was, you threw yourself under the bus, not I.
Sorry you were offended. I was being genuinely civil. Please ask the next time, what I meant before assuming please.

Its Bob actually. I actually read Markheard's picture wrong..it looked to me as if he were offering the pins for the Enchanted BT and u were saying his pins are not comparible. Mistake on my part. And no, i was not trying to single you out :) You actually are doing much better on the forum, congrats on that! Again, my mistake. Carry on..:)

I think things are being read into this more than Mark intended. They obviously have a history and will never trade with each other. Mark was pointing out that the other guy could edit the Trade Assistant to not send anymore requests to him and avoid the whole exchange in the first place. Nothing was said about whether or not the trade was fair or unfair.

Yes sweetie, but was the trader willing or offering all 3 pins. Mark?
There wasn't a message attached offering all 3, all I deleted was his pinpics name and both our emails addresses. For all 3, I probably would still decline just because I am not hard over for the pins he offered, but those pins added together might total up. However, there was no message. Sometimes I get "If the answer is no, no need to respond." Or "Willing to listen to counters." Or "Please check my other traders." or "Willing to trade multiple." None of those were stated so I think it was a 1 for 1 request. Which I agree, is not exactly equal. But regardless, my response, as usual if I at least recognize the name, is "No Thanks."

If the request is super far fetched, like a hidden mickey for a PODM, I usually wont' even respond. If it's someone I know or recognize, I try to at least respond (Sorry td.date and this_and_that, I've missed responding to you guys before!) Hopefully this just helps people know how to use pinpics better, and maybe the pictures will help make it easier or to remember.

I'll edit. No need to drag it out more, my point was made.

Mark-thanks for that info, as I did not know you could do that. Also, how exactly do you offer more than one of yours for one of someone else's? Or does that just go in the comment section?

Was the guy just offended by your short 'no thanks'? I mean, I don't feel like that's an offensive response. People aren't obligated to give me a reason why they aren't interested in the trade, and if you get a lot of requests, typing out a lengthy response can be a pain. 'No thanks' is considered a polite phrase just like 'please' and 'thank you', after all.

That goes in the comment section. I usually put 'will trade multiple for XXXXX, please look at my traders' (where the X's would be the pin number) so that it's clear, in case I'm sending out multiple requests that day.

I do this also. Rumor is the new pinpics site when it's finally up, may allow you to select multiple pins for a single trade. That may be a pay-for feature. Still just rumors though.

Oh, I'd really like to have that as a feature. Although I would probably still comment asking them to look at my traders, because sometimes there's something that isn't in their wants, but that they'd accept in a trade anyway.

I don't like you Mark and that's why you got a nasty response from me. Instead of being a cry baby and posting on the forum you could have messaged me like a man. I would have gladly made a counter offer if we were on decent terms, but you have been one of the rudest, nastiest and most arrogant people I've encountered since I've joined DPF and PinPics.

I agree the "offerer" was rude in his reply to the recipient's "no thanks". Also, if you don't want the offered pin(s) badly enough for the trade, then you don't have to trade, no matter what. But the 80446 Rapunzel & Flynn actually has a somewhat better trades/wants ratio (20/247 = .081) vs BT Enchanted at 30/186 = 0.16, so it was not a lopsided request, IMHO. Still it is anyone's prerogative to say "no thanks" to any TA offer if they don't want to trade.

I get what the issue is. This thread could have simply been like Psycho Pixie's tutorials on how to do something you may not know about. But it wasn't. We didn't really need the backstory or "don't be like this guy," only the instructions. Including the backstory gets people wondering who's the guy who won't trade with Mark... then that guy needs to defend himself and now it's a thing.
