Limited Edition 17" Collector Dolls Information

All I know is from my store is that they are no longer allowed to tell customers how many LE dolls they are getting in until the day of the release. For some reason they changed policies on that with my store at least. Which kinda makes it hard to decide if I should go to the store or online. However, my manager told me to go online because they were hardly getting any which was the only thing she could say. So I will take her advice! I'm just going to get Elsa though, I'm just not crazy about Anna for some reason....I think she's pretty but I think I would have preferred her in her snow gear. So if they don't come out with an LE of her in her snow gear I think I can just be happy with the classic doll.
 

Interesting. My store hasn't heard of this rule- we've been telling people how many we're getting in, which is 6, but really the only people who have been interested or asked questions are our regular diehard doll collectors.
 
It could just be what my managers decided...not sure but they just tell me that they are not allowed to say. However, I am a regular and in the past they have told me. So I just assumed it must be a new rule that was set in place. But my manager was nice enough to say to try online first because with the regular doll collectors that come to the store she wouldn't have enough for all of us. And there is usually only four of us so....
 
I can't believe people don't think Elsa is worth $100...really? If the Harrod's set didn't exist, I don't think anyone would be making such claims! You can't compare her to that set, it costs 500 British Pounds for crying out loud! Embroidery is always extremely expensive to make or buy, and there is A LOT of it on her!
 
I think Elsa looks great and while the Harrods one is spectacular, I think this one is too. Can't wait to have this doll in my hands. Please link fairies give us a hand. :hug: ♥
 
I can't get to my store tomorrow so I am going to try online tonight. But I did call and my store is getting 4 of each. They also have not had anyone calling or showing any interest in them so maybe if it doesn't work out online, I can still get them in store the next day.

I really think the LE 2500 should have been as nice as the LE 100s are. I think the price is mostly the Harrod's name. I can't imagine that more embroidery on one doll and a few more sparkles on both makes them THAT much costly more to produce that they couldn't have done these details on the 2500 dolls. You can buy designer wedding dresses with tons more embroidery and crystals for $800.

The only Disney Store in my state has only two complete sets. This is making me very anxious, the other half was crushed in shipment

How sad! I'm more nervous for these dolls than I was for Eric and Ursula. My fingernails are all bitten down already and I've started chewing on my lip. Maybe I have psychological problems. Have you considered trying online just in case?
 

yeah, exactly. the dolls come out TOMORROW, yet they don't know anything?! but when I called about the Prince Eric & Ursula dolls they knew the exact number.

I'm going to try tonight but if anything I'll try tomorrow at stores..this is so crazy -.-
 
Going to try my luck in getting the LE Anna doll on the disney store tonight
I never did get to call my disney store if they are getting them in but I have school in the morning and can't be at my local disney store to buy them.
Would be nice to get both Elsa and Anna but I can only pick one and I really like Anna the most.
My last LE 17'' doll I got was Ariel.

Anyone have tips on what I should be keywording to find the listing for the LE Anna or Elsa dolls tonight?
Would staying on the Frozen page suffice?
I had problems with getting a link the last time I was getting a LE doll set. Specially with Ariel and Eric fairytale edition.

I'm going to try online first, but as we all have learned in the past that even if you check out online that doesn't always mean you will actually get it. My dad was kind enough to lend me some money to try in-store too with promise of repayment on Friday.

This is just so nervewracking. I want both Anna and Elsa, and my friend is coming with who wants only Elsa.
 
I've had past heartache also with buying online. Good luck tonight! I hope you get them!
 
That's why I'm nervous to buy online, think I have the dolls and then a dreaded sorry email goes out

tdscm19, yeah. Very rough odds, but thankfully my friend and I are heading there at 6am to increase our odds. I just hope the workers at the store take note of who has been in line for the dolls.

I feel strangely attached to these characters. I'm Norwegian, and it's nice to finally have something celebrating my heritage and culture. You just don't get a lot of that in the USA.
