Limited Edition 17" Collector Dolls Information
I for one think it will be one Ariel and one Ursula or Vanessa as a surprise release. They have always stuck with the one version of the doll for the Princess as it would result in one version of the doll taking away attention from another. I think the Ariel doll will be of her in a dress as that seems to be the theme they have been going for so far, so I am guessing either a glamed up version of her black and blue dress or her wedding dress at the end. It will be a difficult one because of all the princesses she is probably one that does not have that distinct gown/dress in the movie as most of the time she has fins. Maybe they will think up of a dress that represents the fins in a creative sort of way??

They've done two different Rapunzels and two Meridas. Either way ill be forking over the dough. I do think its between her pink dress or the new green one. Vanessa would be pretty too ! OOOH so what is everyone thinking about the Jasmine doll ? Which outfit ?

Oh yeah you're right! Lol sorry I forgot about the wedding Rapunzel.

I think the Jasmine doll will def have to be a glammed up version of what she wears throughout the movie. That aqua color dress. There is a possibility for them to base it on the red dress she wears near the end when Jafar traps her in the hour glass.

But it is exciting! I can't wait and you are right it's going to really going to eat away at my savings! I just spent the last 3 months collecting the complete LE, princess designer and villains designer.

I use to have a doll of Jasmine in a purple dress ish. That'd be pretty there's also her wedding dress but I doubt they'd use that one since it came from the sequel.

Im so jelly that you have all of them !!! I'm trying , since I started late but its going to take a while lol especially Snow White LE :| lol heck the Calhoun and then the $200 for the Brave set was harsh enough on my wallet lol

Am I the only one who's rooting for a (human)Ariel doll and a Vanessa doll in one pack?? Like, with Ariel in her blue and black dress, with the hair bow, and Vanessa in either her wedding gown or the dress and cape when Eric fell under her spell. I think that'd be my dream pack!

Lol I also started late. Only a new Disney Doll collector as I only found out about it by chance a few months ago. Let me tell you it was not cheap and I know what you mean about Snow White. I think she is the one I spent the most on followed by Alice and Mother Gothel. I'm sort of glad we have this mini break over Christmas haha.

I can't wait for the next one to come out though but I'm guessing the next LE will def be Peter Pan relates and hopefully we hear something within the next week or two. I wonder of they will ever do a male doll. Hook would be pretty cool.

And slightecho I agree with you about the Ariel doll being human. In my opinion I think she will be human. They haven't done a disney princess in a double pack yet so I don't think they will do that. But I do like the idea of an Ursula or Vanessa doll as a surprise release like they did with Gothel and Lady Tremaine.

I think Ariel will be in her pink dress, because we don't have any ladies in pink yet! There are a few dolls in blue so far

I hope that Jasmine is in the purple dress she wears at the VERY end of the movie (where her and Aladdin are on Carpet, going in to the moonlight, singing the Whole New World reprise). But any of Jasmine's outfits would be wonderful in my opinion.

OOOH that's the dress I was thinking about !!! :hsd: I agree lol

Why put them together? They cost just as much together as they do separate. I would prefer them separate so I can admire them individually better. So yes please to getting both Ariel and Vanessa, but I want them in their own boxes and I want them each to be super detailed.

I agree completely, I would like each doll in their own box, it makes them more special in my opinion.

Does anyone know what the average price each doll sells for now?

It's all relative, mostly based on actual eBay auctions and BIN lisitngs that have actually been purchased, but it's (really) generally something like this before shipping fees:

Snow White: about $600-$650
Tiana: about $175-$250
Buzz & Woody: $100-$130
Jessie: $150-250
Belle: about $200-$300
blonde Rapunzel: $180-$200
Mother Gothel: $300-$400
Jack Skellington: around $100
Sally: $120-$200
Alice: $500-$800 (those are the recent extremes--the average being in the $600s-$700s)
Queen of Hearts: $250-$300 (last one sold was in early Nov on eBay)
Wedding Rapunzel: about $90-$150
Merida: about $150, but often less
Cinderella: around $150
Lady Tremaine: around $170-$200
Merida & Elinor: $200 (retail cost-this is still available on DS.com)
Sgt. Calhoun: $100 (retail cost -this is still available on DS.com)

Just for personal predictions: Snow White and Alice will most likely hold the top spots for some time. Since people are dropping so much money to currently get these two, if they are ever resold, I doubt they would be let go for much less than the amount that they were purchased, so I'd say they will plateau in the $600 range for a while. The other LE 5000 princesses will probably hike up to the $200-$250 range and stay there for a while (Cinderella will probably catch up to Tiana and Belle in a year or so). Wedding Rapunzel & Merida, since they have such high edition sizes, will probably stay low in cost--but usually not less than their retail price. The villains are harder to read: Mother Gothel has been popular from the get-go and has been hovering around the $300+ range for a while now. The Queen of Hearts is gaining in popularity, due to her really low LE size and her link to Alice, but I think she will probably stay in the $200s for the most part. Lady Tremaine is a creepy doll, but she may eventually hit the above $200 range at some point. She did sell out on the same day she was released... I don't keep tabs on Jack, Sally, Jessie, or Buzz & Woody, but I think they are in their price plateau point right now, since they were released a while back. Interest in them may rise and fall with the popularity of the other LE dolls, seasonal interest (as with Jack and Sally), or if new related films are released (if they make a Toy Story 4, for example).

Again, this is my own personal musings based on the actual buying/selling trends on eBay this year. Prices and interest can turn on a dime, so do not take my opinions as anything but opinions.

Ok ladies….I may have some news about the next doll. Peter Pan dvd goes for pre-order starting on Monday. I called several stores (including the ones who usually give me a heads up on the dolls) and they all said they haven't heard anything about any pre-orders for dolls. I happened to go to the mall with my sister and went to a Disney store that I don't usually shop at and I just decided to ask again since I was there. When I asked the girl if there was going to be a doll with the Peter Pan dvd pre-order she smiled real big and exclaimed it was Tinkerbell. She said a few guests who shop there are big doll collectors and they brought a picture in to show her. She said the doll is beautiful. She didn't have a picture to show me but she said to check back on Monday. Now, I'm not too sure how true any of this is. First reason is 5 other stores told me that hadn't heard anything or seen anything about a doll for Peter Pan yet (and they have ALWAYS given me a heads up) and second she said there are pictures but I haven't seen any and if there were I thought for sure someone on here would have found them by now! We'll see come Monday but I wanted to give everyone a heads up!!

Ughhhh of course its Tinkerbell.
Thank you for the heads up though, its appreciated! I will check my store when I go in to work tomorrow. If we don't have a floor model, it is easy to assume she is low LE #ed.

I know how you feel and I love Tink!!! I was really hoping for Peter Pan or Wendy. There is still a chance that maybe she was wrong especially since she didn't have any confirmation on her end, just the people coming in showing her a picture. I tried to search for the pictures she said she saw but I couldn't find anything. I guess we shall see…maybe someone on here will find a picture or something!

It's not unfamiliar about stores not knowing, in May I was having a conversation with a manager and they weren't even aware about the Merida LE. It probably is Tink, as it would also follow on from whatever that film was I saw a poster of last time in cinema if that's being released on dvd as well by then.

Well we can't say we are THAT surprised, I mean , how many Peter pan dolls are at the disney store now.....0 !

If it is Tink, we could always hope for the surprise release?? I really wanted Wendy and Peter :suspect:

Hi! Just curious if you got a floor model in when you went to work. If you did….what did you think?!
