Definitely looking forward to the Peter Pan and The Little Mermaid releases. :) two of my favourites!

Peter Pan is looking to be released first for dolls and the Blu-Ray?

Don't forget Jasmine! She's getting a lot more random type items: a stationary set, two different styles of flip-flops for girls, a charm bracelet, and a necklace & bracelet set. Also, there is a Rajah ring (though I think it looks kind of odd). hopefully, this is a bit of a sign that a LE Jasmine may appear in 2013!

I'm surprised she took that long. With only 1000 dolls I thought they will all be gone in a week. She's amazing, I got her on Christmas and I'm glad my parents were able to pick her up on their Holiday shopping. Now lets see for how long will Merida and Elinor dolls will last being available.
 
I spoke with a cast member at my Disney Store and she smiled and told me in 2013 we'll be getting LE's for The Little Mermaid and Aladdin....don't think she mentioned Peter Pan :(
 
I would assume we will get Jasmine in the first quarter, and Ariel in the end of the third quarter/beginning of the fourth (since Little Mermaid re-releases in theatres in September). I can't wait - these are two of my favorite princesses so I'm definitely excited! I really am hoping for a Wendy doll, but I'm concerned she may more so end up like an Alice doll where she's an extremely limited number... We'll just have to see!
 
Well, Im bummed about not getting a Peter Pan doll but I would love Jasmine and Ariel. I've been waiting for Ariel but I would like an Ariel in mermaid form and human form. Could you imaging the possibilities of a mermaid Ariel. OMG….she could be stunning!!! We'll see……. :)

I am still hoping for a Peter Pan doll of some sort. Historically the first doll of the year has been released in March with a pre-order in mid to late January. Or do you think it will be Jasmine in that time slot?

You know, I'm really excited about Ariel's LE! If we were lucky enough to get a human version, which outfit do you think we'd get? I would love her in her "Kiss The Girl" dress, me never really get to see her in that dress.. Personally, I can't wait for Aurora's! Pink, Blue, Briar Rose, I don't care, I'm just holding my breath until she comes out..

I'm hoping for hair with lots of volume, perhaps a tight dress that accentuates her figure but opens near the bottom so it looks like a mermaid tail. I'm hoping Flounder and Sebastian will be added as a feature and that there's a second separate set with Eric and his dog Max. Not to mention hopefully a Vanessa doll? please please please?

As for Aurora, oh she's gonna be so pretty I think, plus I'm hoping for an actual release of the three fairies here in the UK. It's about time.
 
Well, to add more to the speculation mix, the blu-ray for Mulan and Mulan II (released together as it was done with Pocahontas and Poachontas II) will be released on March 12, 2013 in the USA. This makes me feel more like a LE Mulan doll may be passed over this year, also in the same way that LE Pocahontas doll was passed up last year. From a merchandising standpoint, Peter Pan will have been released only a month prior to Mulan, so will that be enough time for a new merchandising campaign to roll into the Disney Store? Perhaps, but Pocahontas was released on blu-ray a little over a month before Cinderella this year, and Pocahontas received very little merchandising attention.

Now, that said, if Aladdin is truly going to be delayed until 2014, and The Little Mermaid will see its spotlight in the fall of 2013, this creates an open window for The Disney Store to release LE dolls for either Pocahontas or Mulan (or both? :p) to fill in the LE doll void this spring. We'll just have to wait and see!
 
^ Great observation, Shivatopia! :) Jeez, I don't know what DIsney will do, but I guess I'll have to compromise either way... I want both Mulan and Jasmine LEs! :lol: Having said that, I am still soooo confused about Aladdin... it's being marketed in Disney Stores in the UK for a Spring 2013 release (which I doubt would be happening if it were not true), whereas Peter Pan is already out here and there's almost no sign of Aladdin's Blu Ray release in the USA, bar a few extra Jasmine goodies on DS.com... furthermore, on a few websites it says Aladdin is still scheduled for Spring 2013... gah! I am sooo confused... can anyone out there put my mind at ease, or are we still waiting for some official news? :lol: CMs, Blu Ray forum lurkers, Disney release schedule enthusiasts... anyone!? :lol:
 
Awww no!!! I've been so excited for a Mulan LE. Her and Merida are my favorite Princesses!!!! Not cool Disney!!!!!! :down::cry: Given the choice, I'd take Mulan over a Peter Pan LE any day. Plus she could be beautiful!! All the detail they could go into with her Match Maker dress!!!

Above is a list from the beginning of the thread. Ariel is a much more favored character to Disney and I think she will definitely have a doll coming out. Looking at the end of 2012, they released quite a few dolls on top of each other. So it could be possible for a few characters to be released at a time. They also keep increasing the amount of dolls released a year - And had a doll set in 2012 - AND newer movie characters. So Ariel is only one - there's got to be more, plus surprise releases. I think we'll see at least six dolls again in 2013. March, Summer, and Oct/Nov seem to be favored release times.
 
Thanks for the list ImNotBad but just a question as this generally confuses me if are going to include Calhoun in your list shouldn't you include the others such as Jessie, Buzz & Woody, Jack Skellington and Sally? I always get confused as to which dolls should be included and which ones are not. I generally went with the box type as they seem to be the only thing consistent between the "Princess Type" dolls. I just bought all of the LE dolls incl Buzz, Woody, Jack and Sally just for completeness sake! LOL. So the only one I am missing now is Jessie but I don't really like the look of the doll so unsure if I will get her. But I am still very pleased with my collection. Will just need to find space to put them on display! :)

But based on your list above they seem to be releasing the "Princess dolls" twice a year once in Mar and then again in Oct. I wonder if they will continue with this trend. I am guessing Jasmine in March and Ariel in Oct? Based on the DVD releases and information posted by other users on this thread. Hope we get more info soon!

It has a release date of around November 27th 2013, and I expect we will see some LE dolls of the Snow Queen character and the main hero, Anna the Ice Princess (who is apparently the 12th Disney Princess). The concept art does look quite spectacular.

I agree I think similar to the Brave dolls we will be seeing some Frozen based dolls. Probably one for the movie release and another for the DVD release? Just like Brave? Also we would be expecting the next lot of designer dolls which will more than likely be released around Aug/Sep to coincide with the D23 Expo in August. The last time the expo was on they released the Designer Princesses so it'll be interesting to see what they release in 2013. Can't wait!!
 
Yes, similar to how they handled the releases for Brave. But yeah, that should be interesting to see whether Disney decide to release another set of Designer dolls. I mean, with the Designer Villains, I think they may have made a bit too many which hopefully they can learn from now. I would love to see something like Designer Princes, or a different variation of the Princesses, maybe in modern day clothing etc. But it is truly exciting, expecting the new year, with many new dolls along with it.
 
Disney more than likely makes a fortune off of their LE dolls, so I'm confident 2013 will have a lot of releases for us. Peter Pan is in February which is a month before a bunch of other releases, how could Disney Store pass up a LE Tinkerbell. They're releasing Hunchback and Mulan on blu-ray in March, so I would think that in their best interest they would make a LE doll for both Mulan (preferably in her warrior outfit with a sword) and Esmeralda, which would both be gorgeous, considering Esmeralda is my favorite. They're also releasing Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and I really have confidence that we would see a LE Jessica Rabbit doll. It seems pretty obvious that they are going to be doing Jasmine and Ariel, so I'm not too worried about them. With Frozen's release and all of these new blu-rays, I think we can expect a lot of LE doll releases this year, and maybe even another designer collection of a sort along the way :)
