Limited Edition 17" Collector Dolls Information
If it's any help, I think she sold out that fast because of scalpers seeing the LE Snow Queen prices. This means the market will be flooded, keeping her prices low for the future in case you want her then...

I'm not so sure about this. I've been in contact with someone not on the forums (just via email) and she decided to get these dolls after missing out on the November 20th ones. I think a lot of people that saw the movie in November & December, after the originals were sold, flocked to the dolls.

So I'm waiting outside my store and I'm the only one here. This is my first time pre-ordering in-store. I usually order online, but I'm tired of worrying whether or not my doll(s) will arrive and if they do that they will arrive unharmed. It surprises me how many people get up early to walk the mall. I would never get up this early just to walk. Only something like this LE Frozen doll release would get me up this early.

This makes sense. The previous Frozen dolls were released before I saw the movie, or was even interested in it, and now it's a bit of a bummer that I didn't get them. So now, I really don't want to make the same mistake again. I think a lot of people feel the same way, as starry_solo says.

Good luck to everyone trying their luck in a store btw.

I did a in store release before and yeah I was surprised by all the people walking lol pfft screw that ! Got a lot of strand looks as we waited outside the store lol I didn't even know we could go into the mall 3 hours early.

I had to change computers.

Anyhoo...I hope everyone was able to get one last night or this morning in store.

I decided to just go for Anna, and got her luckily. I set an alarm at bed, and thought "I dont need to spend the money" and turned the alarm off and went back to bed.

Then I woke up at 2:50AM and was like "Ah to heck with it, and ordered Anna"

I decided to go with Snow Outfit Anna because IF (big IF) they do Kristoff he will probably be in the outfit he wore most of the movie, so I think Snow Anna would look better next to him. Plus the Snow Anna and Snow Elsa are more iconic looking to me and how I think of the characters. So I'll have to add Snow Elsa to my grail list of dolls that one hopefully I can find without going into debt or selling a kidney to get her (along with Designer Ariel, LE Belle and LE Rapunzel in purple).

Now lets hope that they are no shipping issues come March.

I wish I could get to a store but unfortunately, I am on the clock and can't be more than 5 minutes away from munchkins' school. Cuz you know if I broke that rule, today would be the one day I'd get a phone call to pick one of them up :( Murphy's law.

I told myself last night that I didn't need Anna so I didn't set my alarm but if I just happened to wake up in time, it was meant to be. Go figure, I woke up at 11:55! Can't wait for her to arrive in a couple months.

For me, it was a really smooth release (I bought in store). However, there were a lot more people this time than there was for the first dolls. There was an Anna on display but not Elsa. :(

I just preordered Anna because I have no self control. I wasn't going to buy her because I have the classic doll but she was so pretty, I couldn't resist. Anna is my favorite and I just need her in my collection. I loved the Elsa doll but at the end of the day, Anna is my favorite sister.

I'm glad you did. The classic doll is pretty, but the LE is fantastic. All the details and embroidery and the fabric choices. I think she looks almost movie perfect. At least in pictures she does. Her skirt is the perfect length, her boots are so nice looking, and I even like the box she is in. I think this doll is topping my favorite list just under Snow White (because she is my favorite princess and I love her doll even if I don't own it).

Still debating whether or not to debox her...
I mean, it was different when the Designer Princesses were $60...but these are $100 :\

Thoughts regarding deboxing guys?

I recommend that if you love the character (and the doll of course) so much that you cannot ever imagine having to part with it, go ahead and debox and enjoy them! The only purpose in not deboxing is to hold onto the intrinsic value for investment purposes, which is also an equally valid reason to collect (note: this is way different than sharking, because investment collecting means you actually hold the item in your collection for a period of time to enjoy before you actually even think about selling it for whatever reason). By deboxing, you can always still display them in the boxes, too, since the Disney Store does make such display-worthy decorated boxes. :)

I deboxed all of the Designer Villain dolls and they are more marvelous for it I think! :p

I...love dolls in boxes. It started with the Holiday Barbies when I was 12 and suddenly any time I got a doll I had to keep her in box to display and often I wanted a second one to take out and play with. So another reason to keep them in box is if you really like the "frozen in a microcosm" pristine "behind glass" look of a doll in a box. Although, in my ideal world you could take a doll in and out of her box without changing anything on her. Like a porcelain doll.

Got her! Can't wait to pick her up!

AHHHH got it guys! Was pretty happy about this release. Smooth like others said & it was only about 6 people that showed up too. The Anna doll is gorgeous! They only had her displayed tho. But thank goodness this was smooth sailing :D

My store was dead. Got there at 7:30 and only 2 other people showed up by the time the doors opened at 9:30. Oh well, at least I can take it easy the rest of the day knowing they are secured :)

Whoops! Let me retract that "the only reason" statement... because that did sound funky. Most of my dolls are still in their boxes, too, mostly so that they don't get dusty or so that their hair won't get messed up or so that their accessories don't get lost.... and also just a lack of doll display space...but also for that perfect untouched just-out-of-the-factory look! Doll boxes also stack and store easier, too, without fears of wrinkling the doll clothes or messing up their hair in storage...

But yes, my ideal situation would also be if we could take a doll in and out of a box to enjoy and put back without the stigma of those plastic ties and restraints. The Integrity Fashion Royalty dolls and the Silkstone Barbie/Ken dolls are like that in that they are secured to the box with nice satin ribbons, so you can do that. Now if only the Disney Store would do something like that, because the 17" LE dolls could totally be packaged like that!

Satin ties would be ideal! Although I am glad that Disney LE dolls don't have that plastic weave bit in their hair like Barbies and many other dolls have. Some dolls might be easy to remove and replace, but when they have that plastic it is impossible to display them nicely without permanently taking that out.

I don't want to cause panic, but when I went to the store to preorder, the woman in line behind me mentioned difficulties ordering and that it was cancelled and when I said I'd bought a set online she told me to check my order status to make sure it went through. I just checked mine (well technically my sister's; I ordered for her this morning) online and it says it's still active, but I'd recommend other people check as well just in case, because if there were cancellations some of you may still be able to buy in stores.
