Limited Edition 17" Collector Dolls Information
I doubt Disney here in the US would do a limit per household, they don't care about who gets the item in the end, just about them making their $ in the beginning. If they did truly want to make a limit, they could just increase the price in the beginning.
For the March pre-sale, the sellers don't have to pay the $ til it ships but they get the $ from their buyers before hand.
but that's MHO.
I went to Pineville. The Concord Mills location doesnt't get the dolls and I refuse to drive into downtown Charlotte. I did get both, I ordered Anna online and Elsa at the store. And I asked if I could pick my doll and they told me no. Im going first thing that morning. If they bring out a damaged box one, Im gonna be like nope bring me another.Which store did you go to? I've only been to the Pineville one for the designer couples release (my sister and I got both Anna and Elsa's online). But when I went there, they wouldn't let you look at the couples dolls before you bought them. You just had to hope nothing was wrong with them...
I am always frustrated that the concord mills one doesn't get limited stuff! Pineville is a good 40 minute drive for me on a good day (though I know others have longer commutes). I didn't even know there was one downtown, but no doubt it would be even more trouble to get to. I hope it works out for you though. It always seems like a gamble to me. You could get damaged dolls in the mail or in a store. But at least the LE dolls don't have a slipcover like the designer line, so if there are any major problems you'd spot them right away.I went to Pineville. A bit off topic, but I don't remember - when did we get those first leaked pictures of Arial last year? Just that way I'll have some sort of idea as to when we should be expecting to see something (maybe if it's leaked) regarding Sleeping Beautythanks.
So Ive been thinking about either selling or trading off my November elsa and or anna to try and get a snow white. No one I know really cares about dolls so I wanted to get perspective from actual doll collectors. what do you guys think I should do? Im seriously considering it because snow white was my first movie and my first disney love, yet i do love frozen and i know if i get rid of those dolls Ill not be getting them again. Or i could just shell out the grand for snow white and keep them all lol. however id like to avoid doing that.
TBH yes Snow White is an amazing doll but right now her market value is around the $600 mark and Elsa is in the $800-900 mark. Also Elsa is a lower edition size than Snow. If you really want snow then I recommend saving up for her and when a better deal comes out then you should grab her then. The asking prices for Snow right now is just ridiculous and no one should be paying that much for her. If you are patient you should be able to find one at a more affordable price. Good luck!
I've seen several Snows go for 800-850 in the last few months (pre-Frozen), I paid 700 for mine. I don't think her value is at the 500-600 mark anymore, sadly. We'll see if she goes back to that once the Frozen craze wears off. I hope Belle drops, I don't want to pay too much for her because her design is one of the weakest, but I also do kind of want to get her again 0-o
Ive been watching several dolls and with the hype around the Frozen dolls Ive noticed all the ones Ive been hunting have seemed to double in price. I hoping after March when the secondary market is flooded with over priced Frozen dolls, the hype will die down, and prices will level out again. But I highly doubt it.I've seen several Snows go for 800-850 in the last few months (pre-Frozen), I paid 700 for mine. I don't think her value is at the 500-600 mark anymore, sadly. That is a good point, Snow is probably at the $800 mark now, but I still think trading an Elsa for a Snow is rather risky and again I do believe Elsa will become the rarer of the two due to her lower number in terms of availability.
I dont see the prices of the dolls going down in price. Especially if they are part of the princess heirloom series. I think you will be one every now and then that is listed at a fair price, but with the whole Frozen hype and the popularity of these dolls increasing I can only see the value of these dolls going up...
I surely wouldn't trade such expensive dolls - so many things could go wrong.
Just look what happened to the girl on the "Disney Limited edition dolls" FB group. She traded her mother's Snow White for a Snow Queen Elsa, but she received an empty package.
That's just awful. Some people can be so mean...
I would say, sell your doll and use the money to buy the wanted doll - since in trades there's nothing to protect you.
