Dont forget in the UK it is one per person per household which means that if the doll is being shipped to one address you cannot order the same doll and have it sent to that same address. So if you do ask someone to help you in the UK they will have to forego their chances at the doll.
 
I won her on a Japanese auction (so it's not my picture). I didn't think I had a chance, since the last time she was on a Japanese auction she was sold for 950 USD - and I don't want her that bad, because I focus on princesses. But for some reason nobody bid on her this time, so I won her for the starting price, which was 240 USD.

I dream of getting purple Rapunzel, but she's rarely sold on auctions outside the US...

I got Blonde Rapunzel for Christmas think she was £250 but well worth it, her dress is so detailed! I love the Sq Elsa but Rapunzel is more detailed than her.
I only concentrate on princess's too with the exception of Tinker bell and Maleficent who I love!
What a great find, post pictures once you receive her! I would love to get Snow White one day she's the only one who I don't have but would love to have. I'm missing Tiana but don't like her character so it doesn't bother me but it bothers me not having Snow do you have Snow?

No, I don't have Snow White either, since I can't afford her ebay price and I've only seen her for sale one place in Japan and they charge 1400 USD for her there as well

I just caved in and bought Rapunzel and Tiana from the US... guess as a way to celebrate my find of a cheap Alice - if I end up in debt, I guess I can sell Alice XD hahaha
I just needed Rapunzel in my life also since she's one of my fave Disney characters and she doesn't get any cheaper now... since all the ebay auctions I looked at she was sold for 500+ USD, so I gave up finding her for less than 400 USD (which was my initial plan) so bought her for 425 USD (so pretty much the same as you paid).
I like Tiana's character and doll - but I wasn't sure about her, since she's expensive as well, but it was the same seller so had to make a choice so I could get cheaper shipping.

For me, I love Belle as a character, but I must admit that I don't like her doll much. I mean... if somebody offered the doll to me for 200-300 dollars I would surely buy it, but considering her current price, I guess I'll never get her.
 
Thanks! Yes, I was extremely lucky. After the auction ended I kept checking if I didn't make a mistake in the Japanese price, that there was a zero I had missed - because I couldn't believe that nobody else didn't bid on her XD It's amazing. Like I said, somebody bought her for 950 USD a few weeks ago on the same page, so I got a great deal.

I hope we all get lucky and get the dolls we want - we're surely going to need it, especially after the whole Frozen craze.
I'm a new collector (started collecting less than 2 months ago), so for me this doll collecting business has been crazy from the beginning. It was nice to actually get lucky for once - after buying other dolls way overpriced.

Hi all. 1st thing. I'm not trying to start a fire. I just got news from the Disney store I sways go to by my house. The manger there that been there years told me to day did you get the news about a sureprice frozen doll on march 18th. With DVD. I ask were did you get the info. Told me a customers came in before me. With a wink. Then manger told me it's been on the forms. So I had to take a look nothing. I said I can't find nothing. Again a wink. Now this manger is a collector of dolls as well ..so I feel they were trying to tell me yes there is with say there is and ack like a a customer is posting the info out. Now it's making me think.
 
I revised my post If Disney keeps releasing dolls every month, I will get burned out. The anticipation is a big part of the enjoyment for me. I would enjoy more 17" dolls, but am not sure about the Designer line. If it starts to get redundant then I'm out on those ones. At the very least, I will get much more picky if the release rate continues. I'll most likely only collect what I absolutely love and not try to complete collections.

Newbie here. Just wanted to say thanks for the great information in this thread!

I have started collecting the LE 17" dolls for my 7 month old daughter. I started with the second set of Frozen Dolls and am hoping to purchase all future releases and slowly backfill the earlier ones over the next few years.

I had a question about the potential surprise release on March 18. Would it be available online to buy or instore only (or online only)?

Also I was thinking of starting to buy 2 of each LE going forward so my daughter could debox one and also keep one sealed. Can you purchase two online or is it just one per household ( I am in the USA) ?
 

IF there is a release on March 18 it should be both online and in store. The only time they ever did an online exclusive was with Alice, QoH and I believe China Doll and they are all LE 500. Also if there is a release on March 18 Disney should announce before hand if the dolls will be available both online and in store.

Generally buying two dolls is frowned upon due to the potential of other collectors missing out but if you read the website it actually states one per order. What this means is that so long as if you check out the doll each time you can order more than one. For example if you have more than one of the same LE doll in your bag and try checking out it will not work allow you to, if you want to order another you will have to finish the check out procedure first and then try buying another one.

No there are no more Snow Gear Anna and Coronation Elsa dolls coming out for sale on the 18th as all the preorders have sold out. I believe people are referring to a potential surprise release on March the 18th but that is purely speculation at this point in time as nothing has been confirmed by Disney. We should be hearing something from them over the next week or two as they usually release some information about these releases prior to them coming out at least a week before hand. Either way it would be a good idea to prepare for something on the 18th since that is when the dolls and the movie are being released.
 

Aren't there going to be more online though? I know when the store sells out of pre-orders they don't get more, but online there should be another allotment. Or am I crazy? o_o

Nope none online either they have some out completely in the US. As mentioned before unless orders are cancelled there is a chance some may pop up but I wouldn't rely on that happening. The only place that will have dolls available for sale will be the Euro stores as they do not have preorders.
