Limited Edition 17" Collector Dolls Information
Well hello fellow & new members! Just got back from my trip at Disneyland & it was a lot of fun! But getting back to the topic & having a quick question. If I pre-order these dolls from January in the store but wasn't able to pick them up on Tuesday, would they still hold onto them until I picked them up? I should probably know this since I am a cast member but can't remember about the details of pre-orders for limited dolls LOL.

Based upon what I've been reading about this online, you had to pre-pay for the dolls when you did the pre-order. So, I'm guessing yes, they will hold onto them since you've already paid for them.

Yes exactly! I still have those fancy lovely receipt holders for them. Usually I'm always on the day of the releases except for this time around ahaha.

Pre-paid merchandise is held for 1 year after release date.

One year sounds better, but when I read the receipt it said to pick up the dolls between March 18 and June 22. I don't know how much you can base that on, if maybe it was just the Frozen LE dolls or not.

Not sure seems that when it comes to frozen theres some acceptions to the rule. as far as I know in general they hold the items for a year. But I am curious what they do with it if an item is ever left and forgotten about.

I am really looking to Sleeping Beauty. She has always been my favorite princess; classically elegant and sleeps a lot.
My main thought is that I really hope for the sake of her releases that they don't release a surprise Hans or Kristoff in October. I wish if they were planning on making them they would've just sold them when the newest Frozen girls came out. I think that if they release them as a surprise with the 3D it'll bring all the craze and hype back around to the dolls, and it'll make Sleeping Beauty crazy just because people will already be thinking about the dolls, even if they wouldn't have necessarily gotten Aurora or Phillip.

I think the chances of a surprise Frozen release are incredibly small at this point. They can't seem to keep regular merchandise in stock so I can hardly imagine them trying to squeeze another LE doll in. I'm putting my vote in for a Spring and a Fall Maleficent Release. They could easily make two different versions and I would buy them both. I would love one with dragon wings an another in her cloak. She is one of the most popular villains and Disney should do a more edgy and original version in the spring and a classic look in the fall.

The hype for Sleeping Beauty will be there regardless of what happens with a Frozen surprise release. There are enough scalpers and collectors out there to create hype. With new collectors emerging it will be interesting to see if they raise the edition sizes for the Sleeping Beauty Dolls. They can definitely sell more than the 2000 Ursulas they offered last year., maybe 3000...

My dolls have been noted as "Hub Trailer Via Sorter" on Hermes' tracking site but there has been no movement for over 24 hours. Does anyone know what the note means?

Aurora and Phillip won't be as crazy because people generally don't care about them.
Maleficent is gonna be nuts!

I think this release was crazy mainly because it is FROZEN. and scalpers are up there to buy everything and resell. But as we've seen with Cinderella, people generally don't pay that high of a price for them. So it makes sense that Aurora won't be that high up too.
I'm personally excited for all the merch and kinda pissed off because of what Disney is doing.
They released Maleficent the same year, so that's going to eclipse the great classic.
They delayed the 3D blu-ray release of Frozen because they wanted to sell the future 3D releases of Incredibles and ratatouille. And also because They didn't think that Sleeping Beauty was gonna sell well.

So expect most Sleeping Beauty merchandise to be terrible. With barely anything that is worth getting. I hope that they do an Art of Aurora line.
It's kinda sad cause the animation of Sleeping Beauty is breathtaking and I was kinda hoping they'd do something to honor that.
But you never know.. I can see that they've already started with Aurora, She replaced Ariel/Cinderella on the "princess" button. :)

I agree. I dont think SB will be as nuts as Frozen has been just because Frozen anything has been crazy. Plus its a new movie that won lots of accolades.

I think the hard one with SB will be Maleficent as she is probably one of the most well known and liked Villains.

I think some of the scalpers learned with LE Ursula and Eric that they were not that popular. So IF there is a Phillip doll which Im hoping there will be, might not be as crazy. Eric and Ursula are selling right at retail on ebay now, and there are tons of them. They seem to just be sitting there too.

I think I might be interested in LE Aurora. If she's in her Briar Rose outfit I'm definitely interested, but if it's the princess dress I'll have to wait and see how it's made / how it looks. I guess I'm lucky I don't want Maleficent then, the last thing I need is another "Tuesday morning" happening :))

I'm looking forward to the SB release and hoping this Frozen insanity dies down soon. Someone posted on Facebook that an eBay seller is attempting to auction an Elsa singing doll for $499 ($1000 BIN price). :ugh: As much as I love the movie and the merchandise, all of this blatant greed is starting to make me sick.

Does anyone think that some of the sellers who are listing their LE Frozen dolls for upwards of $2,500 will ever see reason and bring their prices down to something more realistic? No one is actually buying these dolls at these prices so I'm wondering if they will ever come down. I have all of the Frozen dolls but Coronation Anna and really would like to complete the set one day, but most all of the eBay listings now are of the Nov pair together for between $2500 to even $10,000. Even if I HAD that kind of money to waste I wouldn't give it to these sellers just out of principle. It's ridiculous.

The only doll I think maybe worth $2000 and up would be Alice because she is a LE of 500. I know these dolls are coveted and I'm not expecting to get her for less than SEVERAL hundreds of dollars but c'mon. It is especially annoying when I see sellers with multiples of dolls that they hoarded just to sell at outrageous prices. Sorry, but I am getting a bit frustrated and disillusioned with all of this.:(

I don't know if the scalpers will see reason, however when no one's buys them, they will have to eventually reduce their prices or else be stuck with the doll. I remember when I bought my LE Snow White. I looked for ages, and she was listed for $700+. I said I'd buy her if I saw her for under 500... well turns out I was impatient, but I bought her for $650 Inc shipping to Australia. You only had to look at all the ended listing to see so many not sold Snows for over $800. Any around $600/700 were usually sold. I think, given time, there will be a price reduction. Maybe not much, but if people stop paying then sellers have no choice. If buyers keep paying the HUGE prices, then they'll never drop. Just keep a look out- there may be that one person that'll sell their doll for a "reasonable" price, which will sell so fast amongst the outrageous ones.

Indeed I think that we will see a price drop once we get closer to the middle of Summer. The Frozen hype has to die down first - I'm not sure if the actual Frozen dolls themselves will drop in price much but as far as the other dolls that have recently spiked I think it's fair to say their prices will lower.

As for Sleeping Beauty, my favorite princess, I do not think she will be an issue. LE Ariel wasn't very hard to obtain plus her secondary market prices weren't bad. Aurora is significantly less popular than Ariel. With those reasons alone I think it's pretty safe to say that Aurora isn't going to be a bad doll situation - maybe Maleficent but in truth probably not?

So someone has been posting images of Jasmine from an art book, and it looks to me like it's something that could heavily influence the design of the LE doll.
Here are the images:

OH MY GOSH!!!!!! That would be an incredible design for Jasmine!! Holy cow!! Thank you for posting it! I thought it would be some cool fan art that somebody did on tumblr but wooooow! I love how they're incorporating more peacock feather into the design, that would be one fine LE Jasmine doll if it looks like that! :'D LOL!!!

Those Jasmine designs are gorgeous -and to an extent they're a little reminiscent of the DFDC Jasmine which makes it more of a possibility. I'd certainly love something like that! Of course we're just going to have to wait and see ):

It's very tricky for jasmine IMO.
Her dress is so plain in the movie, and attempting to embellish it could go either way, and most likely the wrong way.
They could completely try to glamour her to the point where she no longer looks like the character.
Just like what happened with Ariel, when they completely changed the way she looked (clothes wise).

If they did something close to the Couture De Force figure, it would be too simple when compared to the other princesses.
So I think that the peacock design should be what they go for. I can see them adding feathers and giving her a lamp.
I think I'm almost 90% sure that she's going to be holding a lamp.

the first is very close to designer fairytale jasmine, less complicated, but it's almost the same we got, just a bit simpler.

I can't wait for a LE Jasmine! Definitely the one I'm looking forward to the most. I hope they include the peacock feathers, it's my favourite bird. Those images are stunning! I really wish they make her outfit very luxurious and deep colors like in these pics. :)

That designe is PURE Amazingness! I really hope it's something similar to that one. But I guess a LE Aladdin (which we'll deff get) would get the Lamp instead of Jasmine, I care less though. I also really wonder if we'll get a 3rd LE doll. Like a LE Genie or LE Dschafar. I'd honestly like to see both since Aladdin is one of my faves, but I doubt that a lot of people would pay money for a LE Genie or Dschafar...

I think after the SB release Ill be safe for awhile. I dont see anything else coming out that I would want (hopefully).

I only collect Tink, BatB, TLM and SB so most of those are out of the way now. LOL

Personally I'd go nuts if they released a series of less-marketed girls, such as Megara or Esmeralda. I'm also dreaming of a new Rapunzel release (one that looks more like her movie character design, because the two LE Rapunzels have awful faces imo) but I know that ship has sailed. But really just imagine how pretty Meg and Esmeralda would look, with the Grecian folds and the gypsy-ness.

Jasmine could also be beautiful, but I'd rather there were no feathers... More like a very decorated belly-dancer outfit; meaning a more embellished version of her Couture de Force attire.
