Limited Edition 17" Collector Dolls Information

My Cinderella's shoes has the same stains, too. I'm going to ask my local DS about it tomorrow.
I just came back from my local Disney Store. They offered to exchange my doll for any one of the half dozen or so pre-ordered dolls that had not been picked up yet. Unfortunately, all of them had the same problem to one degree or another. A couple of them only had one shoe that was stained, but I didn't want to mix and match shoes. So in the end I decided to keep my original doll. The CM couldn't say whether or not Disney would provide replacement shoes. She would look into it, and for me see her next Monday, when I will be there for the Designer Mother Gothel raffle.

Since the shoe problem seems to be consistent across the board, I am guessing that the plastic material that the clear shoes are made of have some kind of oil or ingredient in them that has this chemical reaction when it comes into extended contact with the exact sort of metal that the doll stand is made of. I've noticed that in some of the pictures I have seen, sometimes the way Cinderella's feet are secured in the factory packaging makes it so that only one shoe is touching the pole, and that shoe ends up stained...

Has anyone tried a chemical remedy, like non-acetone nail polish or some other solvent?

Opps , it's called CART# , it's under the le girls doll labe on the shipper box. I noticed it on accident. It's not the actual certificate but just the number .

Very interesting observation! I think that this applies only to numbered edition dolls that are individually packed in their shipper boxes at the factory (i.e. the deluxe 17" LE dolls), where the number of dolls exactly matches the number of shipper boxes (or cartons, hence the CART#). The designer dolls are packed into the thin cardboard shippers first, but then they packed into a larger (and sturdier) cardboard carton box, two per carton, to send them from the factory to the warehouse, where they are then unpacked for distribution to us. Last year, when they allowed people to buy up to 2 Designer dolls per online order, if you ordered 2 dolls in the same order, you would get the 2 dolls packed in the bigger factory shipper carton and the 2 dolls would be in sequential LE numbers.

that is really interesting I never noticed that the box cart number and the LE matched up! I'll have to look at my boxes from now on!

as for the shoe problem with Cinderella I'm a little bit afraid to open mine (that and I want to keep them in box) so I think I am going to ignore it until I can't anymore (I give it two - three days)

It's very easy to open and close without ruining anything and still looks new! everything slides right off and goes right back on...well at least for me

Here is my pictures of Lady Tremaine and Cinderella. In my pictures ,it's a story of Lady trémaine who is asking Cinderella to forgive her and as a symbol she gaves her the key of the room when she used to lock Cinderella. Of course she truly do it because she wants to be admit at the court with her daughter. But as a true princess, Cinderella accepts and forgive her.

oh Lady trémaine is sold out at the disney store .fr this morning

BUT I do have to say that when I opened my Cinderella DVD I was super excited that The Little Mermaid has been confirmed for a Fall 2013 Diamond Edition release! SOOO now I can't stop thinking about what the potential doll could look like!

Oh my goodness I am SO excited to see what the LE Ariel will look like! Ariel has many potential ensembles they could choose from (pink dress, wedding dress, blue town dress), or will they make her a mermaid? So many possibilities! LOL And if Disney Store is reading this...PLEASE make a Vanessa doll!

Thanks for pointing this out. I have looked at all the various stickers on the boxes before, but never realized that the CART # was the edition number as well! My Cindy is 2807.

Also interesting...if you are curious where our dolls are manufactured, look up the following address in Google maps street view:

19 Cheung Shun Street
Hong Kong

The company is called "Sun Wing Ming Industrial Ltd"...and if you google them their website states that they are a manufacturing company that primarily produces dolls and other toys. They also list Disney as one of their clients, and have a picture of Tink, Rosetta, Silvermist, and Fawn dolls. I've never thought about where our dolls come from before...they make quite a journey!

Also...I just checked my Cindy's shoes and they both have the stains. It's a shame they didn't figure this problem out beforehand.

OMGosh Disney, Surprise Vanessa doll pleaseeeee! ;~; I'd love to see an LE of Ariel in her town dress, but I have a feeling she'll either be a mermaid, or in her pink dress like the current singing doll

that's amazing news in regards to Ariel being confirmed for the Diamond Edition. Considering Cinderella's dress is all sparkly I am kinda hoping we're going to get Ariel in her sparkly dress, running up to Eric in end credits of the original film.

YES to the Vanessa doll, she would look Fab!! I'm assuming Ariel as a mermaid as well (once again) even though I'd love to see her in something differently.

pupuce I love the photos of Cinderella and Lady Tremaine it is really beautiful, even more so with the head tilts and the angles that make it so much more realistic. If you dont mind me asking are they on stands? if not how do you make them stand on their own?

Question for people who might know.... is Aladdin CONFIRMED for a Spring Diamond Edition DVD release? If so, OMGOSH SO EXCITED FOR THE POSSIBLE JASMINE DOLL!!!

So far, Aladdin still appears to be a "go" for spring 2013, but of course, anything and everything is subject to change. No concrete release date has yet been listed. Recall that Dumbo's non-Diamond Edition blu-ray release was pushed back almost a year, and Aladdin was originally bumped out from the Diamond Edition all together. With the news that Peter Pan is going to be released in February 2013 and The Little Mermaid in Fall 2013, it would be an unprecedented move for Disney to release 3 Diamond Editions in the same year. But anything is possible with Disney! Let's just hope that Aladdin doesn't get pushed back again...

Thanks for your answer, Shiva! I actually love Peter Pan too, so if Aladdin gets pushed back/taken out it is a tragedy, but at least it wasn't getting replaced with something not-so-good LOL Here's to hoping everything is a go for next year! As much as I'd love a (possible) Tink doll, I'd choose Jasmine over that any day

Thank you. I'm very happy you appréciated my pictures ^^. They are on their stands.

True anything's possible with Disney. I really do hope the diamond Edition for Aladdin has a full go for 2013. I do hope as well that we're getting a new Aladdin, as he's the main character of the story line. I'd be perfectly happy with something similar to Mattel's 1993 release of Aladdin and Yasmin and their carpet. See below. I used to have the set, a present from 'Sinterklaas', but I've given it away when I was 12 years old (because at the time I didn't think boys should be collecting dolls anymore). Really regret it now.

Thank you Shiva and PrincessxJasmine89 for this information. I have seen Aladdin go on and off the list of 2013 Diamond releases. We know Ariel is a sure thing. (mermaid or dress?) With Peter Pan, I would bet Tink, but would love Peter and Wendy too. They seem to have Tink off in a separate world now. But she would be a popular favorite. Wendy would be a grail for me.

My question is-are we done for this year? I would like to put my wallet away and stop stalking for news every day, though the latter is fun.

I was just thinking I've totally overlooked the fact that there is a new disney film coming out at the end of next year, which is probably going to get a limited edition doll as well (I assume the snow queen).

In a way I hope we're not done yet. With christmas season coming up I am hoping Disney still has a few surprises in store. Perhaps something nicely done with our prince charming since we're celebrating Cinderella these days?

Really hoping for an Ariel in a dress (preferrably the glitter sequin she's wearing when she gets her legs from Triton).
