Just wanted to see if our friends in Europe are experiencing severe delays in the mail ??

I sent 2 PoDMs to UK, and they seemed to be delievered within 8-10 days after I mailed them.

Just one day after I mailed Donna's pin to UK, I also mailed a pin to Malafide on Dec 6th and on-line I can see that the package was processed and left Austin on Dec 7th. But it does not seem to show up at her end :dunno:

Is anyone experiencing the same pain (no) thanks to Holidays ?? It really bothers me. We are set to go on a family get away in few hrs and now it wil be on my mind Ugh .....
 
I was told yesterday by USPS that they aren't required to update the tracking info daily. In fact, they're only required to let you know when it gets delivered. Don't stress too much about it. Malafide may have already gotten it, and if not, she probably will soon. Plus, they are SUPER backed up this year at the post office. Hope this info helps
 
I'm supposed to be receiving pins from a UK trader, but they received my package like 2-3 weeks ago It was a pretty high end trade. And some of the pins were supposed to be Christmas presents for my mom. That ship sailed.

Oh well, they should arrive soon. . .
 
I don't know if this helps, but on some of my
packages they were still at the "pick-up" section in the tracking proccess and each day I checked it never updated until one day randomly it was all the way delivered. So don't worry

I am not even sure if mail going abroad gets updated at all. In the past, I have only been able to track packages until they leave my local post office, or sometimes if i am really really lucky, I can see that they got processed in Chicago customs and left US. I can never see if they are delivered abroad.

This is for regular first class air and not priority (that costs arm, leg and a half kidney and I used it only once).

I never had anything getting lost like this before, at least nothing I had sent (few packages coming to me from Ebay-France got lost, but I had coverage for those).

If this package gets lost, this will be my last out of US sale/trade. So very discouraging
 
I know that the post office by me just re-did their customs policies. Now, customs forms all are processed through the computer as well as with the paper slips. They're having some sort of "more secure" (and therefore, slower), system being put in place. Which is unfortunate, because I'm completing two trades through the UK this week. I hope they arrive okay!
 
Aye I am feeling that as well. But I am just thinking its due to christmas and should be back to normal after new years. hopefully anyway. I am hoping the pins I sent out from my trade auctions arrive to people in the US as well.
 

Are they? I'm in the UK and I sent out a package today which is off to the US and all I had to fill out was the paper form like usual... maybe it is just packages destined for here?

In regards to late postage i've had pins shipped to me at christmas time and they've taken nearly 2months to get to me(!!) when at any other time of the year they would usually only take about 2weeks!
 
well I have been going off the customs number and it has been updated on usps.com and says left such a place on 17th December so 10 days ago so I would think its either stuck in customs or just back logged, for me though it does not help when we don't get post on weekends so we loose posting days which sucks and at Christmas is even worse when there is a lot more post coming in.

I'm not worrying just yet just annoyed at the post office but I guess it can not be helped.
 
I live in Italy and our biggest problem is Customs!!! I'm waiting for two packages which were shipped on 10th and 12nd December and they still did not arrive!!

Packages from America would usually take about 20 days (sometimes more!) to arrive here... I hate Customs!!! :cry:
 
The mail over the festive season always takes a long time. I'm waiting on some trades myself that were mailed at the start of December. I found that packages posted later in the month arrived quicker.
 
I posted out trades on 6th December to CA address's and they received them 21st and 22nd. They posted their pins to me about the same time and I got them about 18th.
 
regardless of the holidays, I usually see my stuff from the USA arrive in the UK in about 10 days, but stuff from the UK tends to take longer. 2-6 weeks depending. Same when i send things to europe. it took over a month for some stuff to get to france recently.

I know what you're dealing with Selen, I have the same It's taking so much time to receive and sent packages right now. I'm waiting on my SS gift and some trades, hope they will be in tomorrow's mail. I'm hunting the mailmen every day, lol
