I guess you won't be sending me any trade requests? Oh no what will I do? I saw the post and there wasn't a mention of promising to get specific scenes and in fact there was no guarantee you would get a pin at all. It mentioned she would try to get one.

She did in fact assure me that she would "match people to characters they liked" Funny how it is against the rules to call someone out for shady practices but it is totally acceptable to defend someones bad behavior publicly.

Clearly your opinion shows that you would do the same thing, you cannot condone something unless you yourself would do the same thing. Thank you for making that clear, maybe there could be a list of people that think it is not only acceptable it is standard practice to take money up front (bankroll) to purchase something and then keep/trade/markup what the general consensus has proclaimed as "grail" or "choice" pins. You want to do that AFTER the fact that is one thing, asking for money to finance your shopping trip is quite another.

I thought that this was an ADULT group and foolishly expected ADULT behavior. The clique-ish behavior seen regarding this Mulan fiasco is just embarrassing. I joined this forum thinking that I would meet new like minded people and be able to discuss, trade, buy etc and what I have found is just disturbing. You cannot honestly believe if someone sells you something, tells you that they only have (bad) ones then less than a three hours later publicly admits that they have a great one is okay? What makes it right to decide which ones are for them to keep/trade/sell for more money when I paid for it on September 25th? It is dishonest and it should be discussed OPENLY not hidden away and controlled. When people behave badly they need to be held accountable for it and hiding it only perpetuates more of said behavior.

Had I known that the buy/wanted forum was a back alley ebay I would have stayed away. I paid OVER EBAY prices for a pin sight unseen because of positive feedback and what I was told by the seller. I do not care about gas, lodging, lines or any other factor as this should be ABUNDANTLY clear to any and every collector..... SHE WAS GOING THERE FOR HERSELF ANYWAY!! That said whether or not I and countless others asked her/anyone to pick something up WHILE THEY WERE THERE ANYWAY, it should never be suggested that they is somehow responsible for the travel, gas, food or any other cost of going there!

On eBay if a seller tells you that the shipping and handling fees for sending ONE PIN is 10.00 because of gas, bubble wrap, parking meters etc you would stay away from that seller. The same principle applies here except more so as people are proclaiming to be doing us a favor, a FAVOR by charging us more than what we would pay on ebay and they are making more than they would because of the 12-14% ebay/paypal fees. I resent paying someone to do me a "favor" and then cherry picking what they consider to be the "good" cherries!

If anyone would like to know more about this issue feel free to contact me. I see the little pow-wow in the chat room going on and it is clear that soliciting defense in a chat is totally acceptable but voicing a VALID concern on a forum post is cause for alert. This was a very, very shady transaction and I hope that any and all others that have been taken advantage of are represented and equally defended. You do not have to have a history with someone or even know them for that matter to know what is right and what is wrong.

Defending abhorrent behavior by anyone shows the defenders character also. If you validate/condone bad behavior it is because you yourself would do the same.

Wow, apologies to PrincessxJasmine89. This thread has gone so far off topic, I don't see any way to get it back on track - and even if there is, I don't see the point, honestly.

This thread is closing now, pending review for potential infractions. Amazing how things spiral out of control so quickly. PrincessxJasmine89, you can re-start another thread looking for your Mulan PODM pins without any negative consequences.
