My Awesome Trade Experience (Tangled PODM)

So sometimes you come across a trader that just blows you away with generosity and kindness. I was lucky enough to have this happen with the Tangled PODM. First off, let me just say that I was overwhelmed by the whole PODM craze. It seems like so much work to get a good scene, and everyone is gunning for them. Being the perfectionist that I am, I won't even dare try to collect these for my little sister because I would go crazy trying to buy/trade for the best ones. However, I was determined to get ANY Tangled scene because my little sister really liked the design of the pin. I actually think it is really cool too, and one of the best to come out! Therefore, I posted a WANTED thread in the trade section a month before its release hoping that someone would want to set up a pre-trade for it (Haha even though I had very few traders I thought it was worth a shot!)
Well a few days went by without much luck, which I was totally fine with because my traders were definitely not up to par. However, I got a PM from Sahdrob (Robert) soon after telling me that he would be at the release to pick up a few of the PODM, and regardless of my crappy traders, he would love to help me and my sister out. Now I have never dealt with Robert before, and I didn't know whether he would actually pull through. My traders were pretty measly and with how intense the release was going to be, I figured he might not be able to nab some or would just forget that he offered. A month went by, and I didn't bother to PM him because again, I figured my traders were too weak and he would probably forget.
Oh boy, was I wrong. On the day of the release, I got a message from Robert saying he had the pins in hand and that my little sister had first choice of which scene she wanted. He immediately sent me pictures of the frames and I was blown away. He had other trades lined up, but gave us first dibs on the scene that my little sister wanted. Of the options, the following were included:
Ummm, these two were exactly in the vein of what my little sister had originally wanted.The Gondola scene was her favorite from the movie, and once she saw the picture on pinpics she was hoping for that one. Heck, she would have been happy with any scene that we were given but this was by far her favorite one. She decided that the one on the left was her favorite, and so we asked Robert if that one was available. Before even offering him anything, he congratulated my little sister and told her the pin was hers. I was in shock, because I didn't even have anything off of his wants. Before I even asked him to choose a pin from our traders, he had already sent the pin off to us in the mail. In return, I asked him to choose ANYTHING off of my traders, because we knew how much trouble these pins were to get and wanted to thank him for his hard work. I had a few LE Sleeping Beauty/Beauty Beast traders on there, and a few other OE pins. Guess what he chose?
My jaw hit the ground when he asked for this pin, and this pin only. I gave him the option to choose anything/several pins from my traders and he chose a single LE 1000. I can't tell you how stunned I was by this act of generosity. This was a trader that had made an offer a month in advance to a complete stranger, and put in the effort to fulfill that offer. Blown away I tell you. Of course I couldn't let his act of amazingness go unnoticed, so I sent him a few surprises along with the SB pin (Thank GOD for a pin friend who came through with an LE 150 from Rob's wants!!!)
I think it is just so cool how generous and friendly Rob was the entire trade. He had amazing communication, sent us pictures of the scenes he got and gave us first choice, and chose a single pin from our traders in order to fulfill a random offer he made. The best part is, my little sister barely got promoted (sixth grade "graduation") to middle school, and I graduated from College the weekend Rob sent us the pin, so the Tangled PODM pin was an amazing graduation present from Rob and he put a smile on both of our faces. The Tangled pin came out on my finals week, so it was really the last thing on my mind. I was worried about finishing up my internship, final exams, final presentations, and graduation the day after its release that I had no time to think about it and almost gave up on getting it. Rob relieved the stress of finding the pin, overtrading for it, or paying an arm and a leg, and seriously came to our rescue. SO GRATEFUL!
Rob, I know I've said this to you before, but you are the epitome of the Disney spirit and your kind act of generosity is appreciated sooo much! We wish you the best of luck in the future and hope you keep in touch. Sorry this was such a long story guys, but this has been one of my favorite pin-trading experiences EVER. It has definitely been a highlight of pin collecting for us and in a sea of bad trade experiences, I wanted to remind everyone that genuine, kind people are out there and definitely on this forum!!!
