I can almost understand if I make a pin trade request and I get ignored because its a computer generated impersonal generated thing...and people are busy if they are not remotely interested, etc. BUT what I REALLY hate is when someone makes a request to me for a trade, I take the time to respond and then I never hear back from the person who made the request of me...either yea or nea for proceeding with the trade. I think that is very inconsiderate.

This has happened to me occasionally too and bugs me every time. I was so excited once when someone had one of my current most wanted, sent a trade request and I responded that morning. I didn't hear from them all day and so I sent another email that evening only for them to respond, "Oh yeah, I traded that away." Really? And you could not have at least sent me a courtesy reply letting me know? I understand that happens because you send out multiple requests, but don't keep my hopes up high just to hang

Yeah, I've had this happen a few times, too. Disappointing for sure. But it happens. I try to let it just roll off my shoulders. Sometimes it's hard though. Hang in there, not all trades work out like that

I apologize if I have ever done that to anyone here. Sometimes I read my emails and see I get response, then I get busy and say I'll do it later in the evening and then end up forgetting until the next day or so. Believe me it won't happen again. :)

This just happened to me. Long story short, we both agreed to the trade, I sent them my address and then I never heard from them again.

You know, that's happened to me too but I've been wondering. Once I sent a PM request, got no reply, forwarded it with a polite query asking for a reply, and they said they had never received the first one. Maybe not all PMs get through...

I usually do a courtesy follow-up email confirming if they still want to make to trade, if I was expecting a response back. Vixy made a good point, that sometimes, for whatever reason, the recipient did not receive their email. I myself have had that happen and have been appreciative when the individual renudges me with a kind email. "Communication" can never be emphasized enough.

i can get like 10-20 requests in one day. I try to respond to every single one but sometimes I may not respond "immediately" and once I do (same day) they made a trade already which is fine but yea... I tend to not trade on pin pics. I like trading with people on DPF cause I can look up pin pics references and see how they are on here. I just trust DPF more than a random email on pin pics for a pin. idk. Just my opinion. xoxo.

Happened to me twice just this morning with 2 DPF members. They initiated the trade via Pinpcs, I responded and then the call got dropped

Oh well ......

Many of us are both on Pin Pics & The Forum. I use the same name on both. For the people who just want to store info on Pin Pics, but not actively trade, you can turn off the Trade Assistant & then you won't be bothered by offers. For my part, I've been trading consistently on Pin Pics since 2004, & have only had a couple or so trades go wrong out of hundreds and hundreds of successful fun trades. I like the TA
