Okay, so someone I traded with accused me of sending them a scrapper. I sent them a gaston Wdi sorcerer hat, and bought it directly from Wdi, and I don't think those are eeven scrapped. I told them that, but I don't think they believe me. What should I do?

One time I got a WDI SI and Am pin that the person got straight from WDI and the back looked funky. It had borders in one place but it was gold and it had just came out. So a lot of WDI hats look like that.

I *think* so. they didn't tell me. This is what they said.
Hi,[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]
got the pin.....not too pleased. It definitely is a scrapper pin

That stinks! :( Lately I have gotten pins straight from Disney that do not have great quality, so it isn't fair for them to immediately assume its a scrapper. I wish I had more advice regarding it. Was the trade on here or on Pinpics?

Wow. I'm not even sure what to say! I know I have gotten pins recently straight from releases that have definite quality control issues. The only thing I can think of is to just trade back if you still have the pin you traded for.

The borders on WDI pins have been an issue for awhile. Perhaps you could refer them to this forum and/or get some pictures of other people's pin to post as a comparison. Ultimately, it is your call if you are willing to reverse the trade. Perhaps they'd be willing to take a different pin?

It was through pinpics, I dont think the guy is on dpf. I was pretty mad when he sent that, So I just said : Excuse me? I bought this DIRECTLY from Wdi.
Lol

I would probably have been bugged and responded the same way you did  I would wait to see how he responds, and then as bombardon3 suggested, maybe even direct him to here so he knows you aren't alone in you opinion. I wonder if contacting a pinpics moderator may help? Maybe they've dealt with this situation before.

+1. Let see what he tells you because if he owns other WDI hats you can kindly ask for him to compare to those

The best thing to do at this point would be give him 24 hours to respond. If he doesnt, then protect yourself by notifying pinpics youself, explain it to them. Do you have the reciept from purchase?

Also, if he/she is willing to communicate, try to find out just what they think makes it a scrapper.

and last: the only way you would be scammed on this is if he asks for the pin back and does not return yours. Perhaps if he is leery of sending your before you send his back someone on pinpics or a mod for pintalk could recieve both pins as a mediator?

Yea, I'm gonna contact pinpics. It's just that it's been more than a week and I haven't gotten his pin, nor do I know if he has even shipped it.

Ideally, the other person should ship his/her pin at the same time. I wonder why you did not get it by now. I am sorry to hear this. If you do not hear anything from them for 2 more days or so, definitely contact Pinpics.

Best of luck Zoe.

aw man, I missed the part about not having recieved your pin yet... So, this person needs to either provide a dc # showing he shipped your pin, or a dc# showing he is sending the WDI back asap. contact pinpics.

wow something smells fishy to me. its one thing to think you have a scrapper but the way they wrote it and now to not have your pin and they are not communicating??? i just dont get it really. i mean you collect dinsey pins and your a dishonest, nasty liar...it wouldnt seem people like that would be into disney.

I know... the one thing that REALLY bothers me, is how many references he has. It makes me feel like this is all a misunderstanding... but he made me really mad.
