"Old" PinPics site no longer updating new pin pics/infomation

Just got an e-mail yesterday informing that the "old" PinPics site will no longer be updating "new" pin information on the "old" site. Everything will now be available only the "new" site.

Guess it was coming but now it is here.

It would be nice if they would add the feature of comparing "wants" to "owns" as sometimes I am willing to give up something out of my collection for something else that I would like to have.

Yep ... I've been saying this from the beginning! That is a big deal for someone that doesn't have a huge stash of awesome traders. It just doesn't seem like they care too much about the end user.
 
As a premium member, I am concerned that there is still the "white screen of death" as it were, when you go to reply to one of the trades or e-mails through the system. It should either take you back to the home page or your mailbox, just not a white screen.

I also wish they would send e-mails out when you receive a trade request, or at least give users the option to get e-mails when trade requests are processed, as with the old system, I know when I got them as they were the same time every morning, but I am not always checking the new site, and it could be a few days before I see a new request.
 
the new site is easy to use but when you put in pins they are not in numerical order and you do have to hunt for them have been trying to put on new pins I just bought from someone getting out of trading. Finished one 81/2 X 11 page took me quit a while to do and still have two pins I could not find and I used both sites.
 
Funny thing is, I always thought it was the _users_ that created the content on the old site... Sure they may have had to update things occasionally, but what happens if a user creates a new pin on the old site... Will it just be a separate pin site of it's own if people care to update it, or will they block it completely?
 
I asked this in another thread as well, but asking here just in case: does anyone know how to check references if the trade request came in directly on the new Pinpics site? The requests there don't give the person's email address anywhere that I can see.

It's not going away that I know of, but to use Dizpins, you have to have the person's email address. As I said, I can't find anywhere that the requests give that. So I wondered if you all knew something I didn't about the new site...
 
Soon as DPP's compare feature is up and running, there will be no further reason for me to use PP. I miss the old site already!
 
I will still use the old site as long as it is up and running. Since I am not worried about a lot of the newest pins that won't effect me.

We really need the compare feature on dpp. Then pinpics can go the way of the Country Bear Jamboree. I have not checked the new pinpics in over 6 months. Don't have any plans to look at it either since it is a pain to use.

Im so grateful for DPP because pinpics new site is too confusing and hard to use !! I like old pinpics as it was simple and easy Such a shame!

But DPP is so sleek and nice and better quality pics etc ^_^
 
I have a hard time getting the search function to work on the new pin pics site as well as requesting trades don't go through. :sad:
I like on Disney Pin Place that we can edit and add pictures regardless of who initially submitted the pin.
 
I really like the new PinPics, but as a complete newbie it's the only one I've ever known as I didn't use the old one. I find it visually appealing and straightforward, but again, I didn't use the old one so no idea how they compare or what features are lost. But, seeing it's so unpopular here, I'll probably only use my DPP since what's the use of a trading website when there is no one to trade with?
 

i have the same problem so I just hit the back button then f5 and go to sent items to see if message went through
 
If they want anyone to use the new sight then they better get on the ball and start actually fixing all the issues with it. I have personally told them several times about different problems with the sight and they still have not fixed them. I finally gave up since it appears they just don't care!!

But why should you have to do that at all. They should get the site to work correctly and then remove the old site. I have a feeling that the old site is getting more use then the new one which would be a problem for them.

This is my biggest issue with DPP!

It takes FOREVER to go through peoples wants lists just to see if they want something I have! Especially the people who have like 10000000x wants!!
