make the film move like a piece of movie strip ( different scenes) and light up . I saw a lot of them on collectors lanyards . Also I'm so disappointed, i had two gorgeous scenes, I traded one and lost the other :( I can't say or I don't want to say it was stolen as Jim was at the table the whole time . But there were times, I had three & four people looking at my pins and i had the movie pins sitting out separately, from my book, pretty stupid, huh . I just realized that my gondola scene is gone . I could just cry .

OMG Debi! Are you serious? :( That's horrible! I'm so sorry. </3
I don't think any of mine went missing as Jim was guarding mine the entire time, too.
Although mine were in binders so I wouldn't have to worry about anyone taking anything from me.

You saw them light up on lanyards? That's way cool! I'd love to know how as well!
I'm sorry your pin got taken. :(

Yeah Alexa, I took the piece of Movie Pins out of my binder . I just pulled my pin books from my luggage and I went crazy looking for it . I went through everything. Notta ! Not only does it light up, but the film moves like a movie strip, not just the cell that is there . It was cool . Alexa, did Max ever figure it out .

I'm so sorry that happened to you! It's just appalling that someone would steal pins like that.

I'd love to know how the movies were moving, too! Maybe someone had actually removed the cell and replaced it with a small digital screen?

Just a guess for lighting em up from behind...

First, a white piece of paper is a sinple way of making the film cell visible in a book, should work on a lanyard.

second, perhaps a small string of LED lights?

That was someone that had actually cut the cel out of the pin and he put a lcd movie screen on the back instead with an sd card with part of the movie on it that played and the battery was attached to the top of his lanyard. Mu hubby is working on a way to get them to light up with an attachment that runs on watch batteries...so we will see...

If he figures out how to do it Swing Kitten and I can get another Tangled pin , I'll pay whomever can figure it out to do one for me . Yes, the guy turned it over and there was some sort of small gadget in the cell spot . It was awesome !
His was the 101 dalmations and it was like a short lit film .

Yea, I told Jon (hubby) that I just wanted a way for it to light up with the flick of a switch so that the scene inside can be seen. That is what he is working on. :) But the movie was REALLY cool!!! That is why he was looking for REALLY bad scenes of PODM's.

I thought it was an awesome idea, even better than what Disney put out . That butt scene that one member got would be a good one . We're there any bad scenes of Tangled . I really want one . Anyone with a bad scene ?

I know we don't really know one another but I wanted to extend my sincerest heartfelt condolences on losing your PODM Tangled gondola scene. I can only imagine the how upset you must feel. I'm hoping you find a replacement soon and without spending too much to get it and that whoever stole your pin has heaps of bad karma headed their way

Tinker, I am so sorry to hear your pin was stolen!! :( It's absolutely awful how many pins seem to be reported missing these days, and just not a way you want to remember such a fun event. I truly hope it shows up for you by some miracle and if not I hope you end up with something better down the road!

I wish I had advice as far as lighting up PODM. Due to my lack of skill, I settled for putting a white piece of paper behind the film cel in my pin book - I can still see the scene slightly and it fits well in my pin book, so yay! =)

I am thinking of the light-up necklaces with many little bulbs. The ones I see on people's neck during X-mas parties etc. Maybe the bulbs from a necklace like that can be used to light up the cell. It should not get too hot hopefully, so it won't destroy the film in the middle.

Sorry to hear that some imbicle stole your pin, not cool! I hope you get a replacement soon.

I have an Ariel Light Up Necklace that I got from WDW in 2000 - my sister got the Jasmine one first so I had to go with Ariel. The light up necklace is a good idea - see if you can go to a hardware store and find some bulbs :)

Once I get my collection complete, I have plans on constructing a frame to display my PODMS, but will also have a light behind them to display the actual cell. I got the plan in my head so im still working on how to do this correctly and make it look really neat.

hey, Deb, dumb question....but are you sure you didnt trade it, it was sooo crazy i forgot when i got home that i traded some pins. Is it in a weird side compartment of you luggage? did you wrap it in something to protect it and forgert? Just runnin the list.
Next i saw that guys lanyard and it was beyond cool, i would "destroy" a pin for it....
I know my old boss who is creative bought a bunch of these little battery run LEDmini lights, i believe he went to costco or someplace likt that and they should work....i must admit the whole set up does make for a heavy lanyard so a neck brace might be a purchase as well.

No Dawny, I kept one to try and trade for a better scene . I looked everywhere and it is gone . :(
Can anyone help me out please ? I know these are tough to part with. I've been checking eBay for one that's similar, but so far nothing has got my eye . I have some decent trades .
