Is there a time limit on how long pin & pop will wait for someone to approve or reject a pin?

That seems like an unreasonably long time. I would send an email to support on that one.

@Randakinskywalker is correct. With the explosion of AI-built apps, many of the existing pin database sites are getting scraped and our content stolen. This has cause site slowdowns and outages because bots are scraping thousands of pages per second and forced us to increase server costs, work on ways to mitigate it, and (unfortunately) expose less data outside of our free account login.
By chance, are you able to say which sites or apps have scraped? I've contributed a few photos to the site and are curious if mine are on any other platforms

I am also part of the .8%. I had 3 pins remaining after my previous shipment and I also didn't do August TA, so it's not like I have an expected future shipment that will bigger. So I expect at some point, I will get a small package with those pins? Personally, I would have held my previous shipment until the last 3 were ready. Especially, because by the time that shipment shipped it would have shown in the system that I didn't do Aug TA. Pin & Pop ends up paying for extra postage this way.

Any new app or website that launches with 30k+ pins (or even 10k) has almost certainly scraped that data from another source. We started with around 25k - 30k pins in 2019 with direct permission from the Pin Trading DB. It then took us about 6 years to get to 100k and our Mods have worked very hard to remove photos that users have uploaded from other pin databases that we don't have permission to use. It's possible that as pins have become more popular, a new site could get to 100k much faster than it took us and that sometimes users are uploading photos that don't belong to them so it's not always the result of scraping.

Look for your photos on any of those apps that claim to have a lot of pins. If you find your photos being used, you can use their report or contact form to request removal of your images, but I've heard of at least a few people who've been blocked from the pin trading app after reporting their photos used without permission. Legit apps and sites should comply with your request within a reasonable time frame.

I wish there was an option to default the search to something other than "relevancy" which I always have to switch for every search to "Added New". I wish it would just default to Added New once I switch it to that, not having to change it back to that for every search. I just want to see what's newest listed.

Yes! This has been on my wishlist since the beginning.

Yes, every time I have to switch to the new release filter I think this too. I am on the site right now and every search... change to 'new release'... sigh.

New release being the default is logical and understandable. Relevancy is not. What are the criteria for relevancy? Relevancy means different things to different people. The default (relevancy) brings up a random list of pins IMO.

Woo! I went to search tonight and it came up directly as Newly Added! Thank you @Chris Nickols 🙂

Yea I think they've scraped at least one of mine...is it even worth contacting them to have them remove? I specifically photographed and uploaded photos of pin #95285 exclusively to Pin&Pop due to how much I enjoy using the database, rather than having it circulated across other sites or platforms. I intentionally put my username/watermark directly on the photograph out of fear it would be stolen for other platforms or databases due to there being no pristine images of this pin that are public until now. It's an LE 75 pin that almost never, if ever, appears on the secondary market, and is considered by many Oswald collectors to be one of the holy grails to obtain.

The few images that exist in other databases are extremely grainy/low-quality, and I wanted to give this crown jewel of a pin the proper glory it deserves, SPECIFICALLY on Pin&Pop (hence why I decided to take photos of it from my personal collection). I am confident it is stolen and altered as there is a very small pool of people who could have photographed it independently in the first place and at nearly identical perspective.

I had specified that anyone using my photo for personal use or other databases to NOT remove the watermark, precisely because of these circumstances. but I'm pretty sure the scumbags (already had a bad opinion of that damn app and the creators), did it anyway, augmented it with AI and threw THEIR OWN MARK ON IT to claim ownership and exclusivity. I am tempted to request removal of it but they would probably just thanos snap my account on there. Also here's an overlay of both photos I think is particularly damning about the identical perspective and angles. I am definitely upset but not sure what action to take to be honest.

They did it to me too. I didn't have a watermark, but I could tell based on how the light hit the plastic, angles, and shadows that they were mine. I reported every listing I could and they banned me. I haven't added anything that wasn't a brand new release since then. I'll consider adding my own watermark, but I'm not sure if that's allowed on P&P and it wouldn't stop them anyway. Here's a few examples.

Yup, they did it to a couple of mine.

Yet it looks like they already have a lawsuit against them...

Oh that is for a completely even worse reason lol...she had partnered with them to do marketing/promotion for the app and in one of their materials using her likeness they used AI to basically whitewash her skin tone and other features...I really do hope they get their just desserts because this issue goes beyond stealing mere photos.

I think this has been asked before but adding it incase it hasn’t. Since we can build our tables so far in advance, is there anyway we could see how many wishlists each pin is on? It would definitely help me set up my traders to know if there are pins that no one seems interested in.

If you guys ever look at tiers for VIP, the ability to see that and add pins to tables to fill a gap after a trade would be awesome perks for a higher tier VIP.

Excited for the event next week, hope everyone gets some good trades in!

The multiple pages on the All Tables view for the trade arcade is confusing, with both pages showing some of the same groupings like "ISOs for Them" or "Other Tables". Is this an error or a new feature that I'm misunderstanding?

Thanks for posting this, I hadn’t noticed there were multiple pages and I was thinking the table count seemed low. It’s confusing to have the ISO for you/them across multiple pages.
I’ve also noticed I used to be able to click next and go to the next table listing in the category so I could easily browse each section. Now it seems to jump to random tables?

Not an error - just trying to better manage the number of tables and listings that we're getting in the events this year. Last Trade Arcade we had some mobile users who were getting timeouts just trying to load the almost 400 tables on a single page. The experiment for this event is showing tables in the order they were created instead of random. That means the ISO match groupings need to be per page instead of Arcade-wide. I'll do some more work on the table back / next navigation to see if I can follow the unique sort-order for each trader instead of it feeling random.

Oh wow! I hadn't noticed the multiple pages either and would have never thought to click on it to see the other pages. Especially since I usually only look at table where we have each other's ISOs. So I would have not scrolled down further and would have completely missed the other pages/tables. @Chris Nickols you might want to post something about this on your FB, etc. so that folks don't miss it.
