PIN & POP PIN & POP Site Announcements & Ideas
I like the new trades page a lot. It really looks good, is easy for a quick view of things, etc. Nice job.

I do wish there was a way to see a little more specifics about the trades without clicking on each. I have 20 trades right now (far less than a lot of people, I know) and would love to quickly see which have been received, which inspected, etc. Something more than the "Trade Pending" that I see on the main page. A report page that lists the trades and their step statuses in a table could be good. Or even replacing (or adding to) the "Trade Pending" with whatever the last milestone hit would be helpful.
Isn't the line " your pin is at pin & pop", " recieved" kinda the same or what you're looking for - or something else?

Hopefully the remainder of the pins arrive soon. The USPS has been interesting to say the least of late.

It is nice that they have that but there's a lot more that happens after that. I want to know if the pin has been confirmed, verified, authenticated, etc. For both of our pins actually. I can see that by clicking for more details but would prefer not to have to do those clicks on every pin. But the spot you point out could be a great place to do that and just have that status change as the pins move through the process. It doesn't look like they do currently.

I just noticed extra information above the “trade pending” that tells me more about the status. I think that is what you are looking for @Ajk. I didn’t see it before, so maybe they heard you and added it 😊

What I think would be even more helpful is to have two columns there. One for the status of my pin and one for the status of their pin.

I still only see the receipt of the pin specified.

However, I did just now see that, after their pin is inspected, etc., the "Approve Verification: Auto Approve" goes away to indicate that side of the trade is done. So that's definitely more towards what I am looking for. But I think it would be easier to follow if it stayed on the screen and just indicated that step was done. And, as you mentioned, there is still the pin I sent in that has to go through all the steps and I don't know what status that has until I click (other than received or not). So showing both and which stage they were at would be ideal for me.

I agree that more of a spreadsheet would be easier to look at.

I also just noticed that "Fantasy" is one of the rarity options. I'm not sure if that was always the case or not, but it works very well for filtering. I don't collect Fantasy so don't need to see it when I am scrolling through new additions. It's another really great and helpful feature for me.

One of the reasons I go to PinPics over pin and pop is because I can compare my trades to other peoples wants, etc. I would like to be able to do this on pnp.

Actually, you can now. You just need to go to their public profile which you can do if you know their P&P name. For example, the below link will take you to mine. As long as you are logged on to P&P you should see "Trade Match" section a little bit down the page with links to see your ISOs that I have and my traders that you want.

We have some matches. Thanks for this info.

I wonder how many are duplicates.
A little late, but as a moderator, I can answer this question! We currently have 109 reported duplicates. 🙂 Probably more than are unreported, but I just did a mass purge of our duplicates tab and merged a bunch together, so our dupe count is relatively low!

But I have to know the username or will it show me who needs a pin I have?

I love the fact that when I review tables it shows that I've already visited and this most recent event has bows on top of unvisited pages. Easier to spot!

Suggestion for the future - if there is already a designation for visited versus non-visited, could we automatically have non-visited tables appear at the top of the list so that we don't have to scroll through all the tables to find the non-visited tables. Just a quality of life fix for a table preview obsessive like me

I love the direction of all the changes I have seen in my short time trading with Pin & Pop. Two things would make my life a lot easier: I would love to be able to add pins to my table directly from my traders list. In a dream world, I could see how many people are searching for my traders quickly as I decide what to put on my table. I would also really love a drop-down menu where it says "you own ___" to show how each pin is classified and to be able to change the classification from that menu (if possible). I guess a third less-important request would be to change the color difference between own and trade. The purple and blue are not distinct enough for such an important distinction.

Thanks for all your hard work in creating this amazing resource for us!

@Chris Nickols I saw your post on your Facebook page responding to the person's wish list of enhancements. I was very glad to see you plan to keep things anonymous and not allow direct communications between traders. I was also very glad to see you want to figure out a way to support multi-pin trading. In regard to the latter, I humbly offer a thought on how that might work. Maybe initial offers are no different than they currently are (1-for-1) but in addition to accept/decline there is an option to respond with counter. And that counter allows me to select X pins of the ones that were offered. That then becomes an offer to the original submitter whose only options are fully accept or fully decline. So basically I am saying "I can't do 1-for-1. But if you want to trade these two that you offered my one, I would do that." That feels like it would generally work within your existing framework.

Of course, if you wanted to provide more flexibility, you could allow an additional option on the multi-trade besides accept/reject to select some grouping of pins that is a multi pin counter offer that gets sent back. But just getting the one shot would be an improvement. IMO.

And if you want to limit the "X" to 2 or 3 pins, I (and I believe others) would be very supportive of that. I think most people are looking for that sort of flexibility, not 50-for-1 sorts of trades.

Just my 2 cents.

FYI, I popped this weekend's topics into a separate thread because I think it gets to the big concepts in how people like and don't like to trade and deserves more than sharing the space with the smaller or more technical feature requests.
