Does anyone else have a quest for special people, maybe someone not even in to pin trading?

Mine is young Carl fredrickson for my dad , he's had a rough time in the last few years and doesn't really collect pins, he watches me and Karl and always oo's and aww'S when I get a new addition, he loves up and Everytime he sees young Carl sitting in the cinema right at the beginning he starts smiling and it makes me happy to see him happy, what about you guys? Anyone else want to share a little Disney magic

I collect Pocahontas and Tiger lily because of my mom's native American heritage. I also try to get anything patriotic for my grandpa because of his military service and I try to get Carl for him because he was an cranky old man who minded his own business.

Old tinkerbell looks for my mother (She dosnt like the 'newer' style drawings of Tink)
And Stitch for my boyfriend.

collect snow white for my mom. she has so many great scenes from the snow white podms. I'm just glad she always tells people she'll never trade them or sell them or anything (not that she knows the value or anything! >.<) haha

YES my sons do not trade in person but they have pins I purchased on my trade list ALL 4 of us ...and they like to trade that way
well they look and see what they need that matches ..as my oldest collects Donald Duck,Robbie(CARS/Goofy)and I have my hubbys there too
and he only collects Alice in Wonderland pins(focus on Cheshire Cat/Mad Hatter)

Judy

Yes, I collect Snow White for my mum! she loves the pins and thinks they are so much more beautiful than my Jasmine pins... Haha! My grandmother loves her too, so I try and get some nice pins and Snow dolls she can have in her cabinet in her house my Dad loves the Mayor from NBC, so Mayor pins and memorabilia go to him

I collect Beaker pins for my son who is a Navy pilot. Beaker is his call name. Also for his wife I collect some of the Jack Skellington pins. She worked on some of the trailers for that movie.

I get Lady and the Tramp for my mom. Its the first Disney movie she saw, and I like to get the pins so she can remember part of her fave Disney movie. She loves Lady and the Tramp like I love The Lion King (which is plenty much ) Because of me collecting Lady and the Tramp pins, Ive developed my own love for the pins lol its all good!

I collect Beauty and the Beast for my mom It's her favorite movie. I'm putting together a lanyard for her for Christmas!

That is so sweet! And a great idea. My mom comes wih me on all of the crazy PODM escapades (and more) and never keeps anything for herself. I keep telling her I will save one and trade it for an Aurora pin, but she always tells me to keep them. I might do this for her instead

I collect for my daughters. That way when they get oloder they have pins to start with, trade or keep.

one daughter gets:
Sassy sayings Tink, (like sassy but sweet) My fav is the one with tink sitting arms crossed "dont like timeouts!"
and winnie the pooh characters, with butterflys when possible.

other daught gets:
one of each princess and the lead female role of every disney movie.

I also have a small side collection of "bugs life" pins that have 2 family connections. My mom called me lady bug when I was little and occationally we call my older daught "bug" affectionately.

I don't necessarily have pin quests for people, but the reason why I collect it's a small world is because it is my mom and grandma's favorite ride. It reminds me how much I love them <3

I trade for Halloween and Christmas pins for my mom(she was born on Halloween), and Saint Patrick's Day and Big Al pins for my dad I also pick up as many pins with roses on them in memory of my best friend Amy. She had an illness called Cystic Fibrosis, which little kids couldn't pronounce so it was known as 64 Roses. When she passed away, we had a life celebration for her and we had a vase full of 65 of the brightest fuscia roses in the world. I still have one, though the colour is a lot darker now. So yeah, roses always remind me of her. I don't have that many, I want more! I want to make a memorial cork board full of pins that remind me of her I also look for pins for friends on here!

I always have my eye out for cute Toy Story pins for my best friend Daphne, and her boyfriend Frankie. They aren't really into pin trading themselves, but they're both amazingly patient and humor me whenever we go to Disneyland and Downtown Disney and I search for pins. My best friend even took me to one of the PTNs, even though it wasn't her scene at all. Toy Story is their favorite Disney movie - They're especially partial to Lotso (the pink bear from Toy Story 3) and the Little Green Men.

I also keep my eye out for cute Huey, Dewey, and Louie pins for Daphne - She has a plush Louie that she's had forever and goes everywhere with her - It's attached to her keychain.

By the title, I was thinking of more of a one-time quest instead of on-going collections for others. I was just able to complete a two-year quest for a boxed pin for a friend. It is: Pin 68539: WDW - The Museum of Pin-tiquities - Disney Pin Celebration 2009 - Jumbo - Periodic Table of Pins

Whenever I go to WDW (or anywhere else), I have a friend who looks after my cats. She's a chemistry teacher, and the minute I saw this pin I wanted to get it to give to her as a special thanks from me and my cats. Well, I was finally able to trade for this boxed pin at Mickey's Circus this weekend!

I checked all the tables in the back on Friday, and no luck. So, I was half-heartedly looking in the back room on Saturday and I found it!! I talked to the trader (who was also a chemistry teacher) and she said "Oh, yeah. I didn't even put this pin out yesterday" and I thought "Yeah, I know. 'Cause I was looking for it!!"

Well, to make a long story short (too late!), I traded for this pin and I can't wait to give this pin to my friend when I get back.
