So according to PinPics trade assistant, yesterday I sent 70 pin trade requests... And I have already h h 10 answers... All except one saying no... What a shame... And they had the better end of the trade as my pin cost way more but was a higher LE... It just driven me nuts...
 
I kept getting requests from the same people, even when I replied to them saying I don't want to make that trade but I had a counter offer. They kept asking me for their Snowflake Elsa/Anna pin for my DS "jumbo" Elsa/Anna. It was getting annoying so I turned off the trade request but it didn't help because the new site sucks.

Then it got announced that DPP was made, and I just emptied my PP account. PinPics was getting annoying because most members don't want to talk or counter offer or consider anything. I think most PinPics members didn't update their lists properly either, so they got unwanted trade requests and thought they could solve it by being either rude, or not replying at all. But I got no requests from DPP either yet, and I recently removed my email information too because I'm not comfortable with making my email public like that.

So in short lol, drove me nuts too.
 
I rarely get a reply on pinpics I sent out a bunch of requests, saying I'm also open to offers, but I only got 1 reply out of a huge bunch of requests! Can be disheartening, especially for those of us like myself who rely on online trading, as we have no access to park trading etc...hang in there!
 
I dont have a lot of pins so its hard to find a trade match.


ps: I'm looking to trade (partially) for a podm. Is there anyone who could help me ?
 
I get some requests - until I removed a few hidden mickey/cast lanyards from my wants list I was CONSTANTLY getting requests for trades from people wanting to give me a one of those (which are so often scrappers) for LE/LR pins from the 13 Reflections of Evil event. Some of them were really rude when I'd send back a reply of "Thank you for the offer, but the trade isn't for me. Good luck!".

Trade requests have really slowed since I removed those pins from my wants list. Now when I do get a request and I reply back I rarely get any response - even when I agree. :/

Oh, yes! I've had some traders that agreed (or the other way around) and I just stopped receiving replies from them. I mean, it would be nice for someone to just say they changed their mind.
 
Those are two very good reasons why people don't reply, you either say no and get a rude response back, or you say yes and get ignored by the person who made the offer.
 
I rarely get replies too, maybe 10% at most reply back? I try not to send duplicate offers but when I send them months apart I may forget.
 
I usually get lopsided requests (not in my favor, but I do respond - even if it's to say no thank you. I very seldom get any responses to my offers anymore. I have also not heard back from folks when I've said yes to a trade which is puzzling. Regardless, I still send and respond to offers, especially since I'm not close to the parks. Good luck to us all!
 
I think what happens to the ones who don't respond when you agree is that they were likely to have sent out many trade requests for the same pin and someone else just responded faster than you. The few times I responded with a 'Yes' and actually got a response, that's what it was. They'd offer the same trade to 20 people, and whoever writes back first gets it...
 
I sent out PinPics trade requests to 58 traders last night. Woke up to 7 yes and 1 no. I'm sure I sent out some lopsided trades but I'm sending out 8 pins and getting 8 greats pins back. Now to update my PP and DPP
 
Since I don't log in to the new pinpics, I probably have hundreds of requests that I'll never see! That could be one reason why many requests are going unanswered (because they're still unread!!).

This +1 The new pp never works. They didn't seem too concerned that people can't reply back to the TA, so why should I bother? That along with a million other reasons of why I won't use the new pp.
 
The new PP rarely even lets me SEND requests. I go to click "send message" and it just simply doesn't load or process.

If it DOES go through, I have not received any replies yet.
 
Huh. I have no clue how to use the new pin pics, so I don't sign in there. I wouldn't have the first clue how to send a request...and I had no idea that you have to sign in to SEE requests! I just use the old site. I guess it's about all this old broad can handle.

and back to the OP... I rarely get responses, either. I had a very nice reply this week....ONE...and even tho' they declined, they were so nice about it that I was still happy!

i totally agree with you. I tried sending requests but it doesn't load nor can I send messages. but visually, Pinpics does look better than DPF
