Hello DPF friends! I had received a Pinpics trade request today from someone overseas wanting a recent DSF pin in exchange for a recent CM pin. I responded to the request letting them know that I was interested in completing this trade and then they responded back asking if I wouldn't mind that they wait to receive mine first because "I don't have any references on Dizpins." Granted, there's about 4 on that site, a few more on here and much more feedback on eBay.

This person has a ton of feedback on dizpins and seems more than trustworthy... I guess I wouldn't mind so much if it weren't an overseas deal. :( Packages take forever sometimes! Lol

What would you do in my situation?

Any feedback, comments and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :)

When I was a newbie I agreed to send oversees first before I recieved my pin. It did take forever but I recieved my pin in the end. I suppose if you trust the trader and you are happy to wait a while then its okay.

uggg thats a toughy....how bad do you want the pin? if i really wanted it and they have tons of ref on dizpins and you know some people on the list i would ask them if you mail and then scan a pic of the customs form and receipt of shipping would that be enough for them to mail--just so you dont have to wait 6weeks to get your pin.

I would just provide them the link to your feedback here...that should be more than enough validation that you are a trustworthy trader. :)

Cool, thank you everyone for the ideas and suggestions so far! :). I don't really want to wait up to 4-6 weeks on a pin. I want it now! J/k - Lol

that is what I did recently with someone here. I know my feedback here even is still very small. But I have over 1000 on ebay. I have been on ebay since 1998. So they were happy with that. That is what I would do. When you wait that long it's too easy to forget. Or at least I would. lol
