So my problem is this:

I traded them my LK PODM pin, for a 101 dalmatians PODM scene that was supposed to include a dog.
They told me before and even after the fact that it had a dog in it. I am not too picky with certain movies and so I went ahead with the trade, without looking at pictures.
(yes, I know, lesson learned, will never happen again, trust me)
Anyway, I get my pins from this person and all there is on the PODM I get is just a TV and the canyon on the TV, there is NO DOG on the scene at all, not even in the tv screen!!!
I sent several messages and after a while I got two responses.
There is dog on TV???? no?

The second message, said they had already traded my podm away and that they had no more podm pins to send me. They said I should have demanded a picture (yes, I know, and they should have been honest in description). There is no DOG at all in the scene!

I don't think I can even get the cost of the pin out of it, I don't think anyone would want it as a trade either, and I sent a really nice LK PODM scene. I am so upset over this incident that I can't even look at the stupid pin.
This is the picture of the scene, does anyone see a dog in it at all?

This person is here on DPF and has been trying to trade with several people in the pin trading forum. I think the person deliberately misrepresented the pin, at least from reading the short messages they sent me.
I don't know if to take an infraction over this and warn others about it, or if I should give the pin away and let it go.
 
I think you need to speak with a mod and admin and work it out. Don't mention the name of the person on the thread. I get it. I really do but try and work with a mod and admin first before it blows up love bug!
 
Nope no dog, and i cant even believe Disney put this scene in, with a whole freakin movie to choose from...do you know how many clips it takes for just one minute of film??? now you are totally correct, idk if you still have any of the PMs or emails....but i would very simply return the pin and ask/demand your LK back. This is really unreasonable and you are in the right.
 
This really stinks. I would like to know who this trader is because this sounds shady. What LK PODM did you send?

who in their right mind would think its a dog?

Originally, they said it was "one of the dogs in the scene" I didn't care which dog it was, so I was ok with it.

If there was a dog in the TV I would at least give them a break there, that maybe I misunderstood or they mis-spoke by accident.
But this? NOOOOOOO there is no dog in it at all.

They also told me today they already traded my LK podm away, which stinks because it was a rafiki scene with baby simba, close up of him being baptized, and it was signed by the artist.

They said they have NO other podm's, even though they have a thread here on DPF that said they are looking to trade for PODMs.

I feel better after ranting..... I have to believe in pin Karma.

I don't feel its right to leave feedback on itrader here or to get the moderators involved because the trade originated in pin pics. Even though I have PMs on DPF about the trade and the problem with it.
I am not sure, if it would be right.

Contact a moderator, and leave appropriate feedback. If you feel like the person was not fair in their description of the pin, state so in the feedback. That is what it is there for, to make sure other people are appropriately informed when dealing with other traders.
 
Leave feedback and contact a mod. It sounds like this person pulled something so don't let them get away with it.
 
I would love to leave feedback, but since the trade originated through pin pics, even though we talked about the trade on DPF, and tried to resolve it through DPF PMs, I am not sure if its fair for me to do that.

I am still willing to allow the person to make it right by either adding another pin to make it better, or taking this one back and sending me something closer in value to my podm. Even if its a pin that I could just use to trade with.

Please leave feedback. I rely on the feedback scores here to determine if I'm going to buy or trade. There seems to be three or four threads today with similar issues. I think if we were all honest with our feedback, we'd have a friendlier place to trade. One of the reasons I prefer to trade here rather than pinpics is because you can see ALL feedback.

And that scene looks like an elephant to me. Whatever it is, it's not a dog.
 
If he/she has already traded away your LK POMH, then I would demand he take back his pin and buy you that scene on evilbay and send it to you. They are totally in the wrong. File a complaint with PinPics and they will help you resolve the issue.

This is the reason why I'm afraid to trade PODMs online.
It's good thing I sold all of my other PODMs. I don't know how to correctly value scenes.
 
Thats not right at all! Number 1, as part of the trade, they should have showed you a pic, without you having to ask to see one. Just like buying something on ebay, the seller needs to provide an image. Second, how STUPID does this person think you are?? Telling you that there is a dog in that scene? Its a cell of a guys butt!!! :facepalm: Third, because your end of the trade was not what was agreed on (you were told you would receive a pin with a dog IN THE CELL) they should be going out of their way to make up for that. Things like this really make me mad, especially when it happens to someone like you, who has been nothing but amazing to me. You got me my most cherished PODM LK pin, and have been a wonderful person to me and many others.
This is a very terrible thing. Its like you got scammed. Its worse that they said they traded your PODM LK pin away, and probably got themselves something really good for it. Id find some way to report this. Honestly.... :rant:
Its a cell of a guys butt! It goes right up there with the cells of Nanas butt from Peter pan XD :naughty:
 
You can absolutely leave feedback here as well - no matter where the trade originated you at least had discussions on this site - so I would definitely contact a mod and leave feedback . . . . I'm sorry this happened to u . . .
 
I'm so sorry! That's really really REALLY awful! Like really -.- Who would lie like that-.- I honestly think you need to leave feedback, like others I trade based on feedback and I would hte for this to happen again I really hope you get something good out of this:/
 
Aww, thanks for the kind words. It's ok, I believe in what goes around comes around, you reap what you sow. I contacted the moderators and awaiting an answer from them. I read the guidelines and it says to contact a moderator before leaving negative feedback, in case they can get it resolved.

I too would agree that had I made a mistake similar to this I would at the very least find the person a replacement cell that fit what I described it to be, or at least try.

oh we'll, this one takes me back to four scenes left to complete my collection, at least I'm getting there.

 
hey... the film cell has the bad guys butt in the frame! how cool is that!!! Its another butt picture! Now we know of Cindy PODM's with horse butt, PeterPan with Nana Butt and 101 dalm. with cowboy butt...
