I won't be able to go, but I know there's going to be Lion King! :l
It's too early to know for certain, but I *might* be looking to sponsor someone for the event this year. It'll depend mostly upon the RSP catalog itself, whether it'll be more advantageous (based upon what I want) for me to attempt the RSP or just buy what I want on the secondary market. If I decide that it's in my best interest to attempt the RSP, it'll depend upon whether I can make it out to WDW for the event itself (and right now, that's looking more no than yes, unfortunately).I'll definitely be going! And I'm hoping to talk my boyfriend into going as well. If anyone needs a sponsor, I'm sure he's be happy to oblige. xD

More than likely that shouldn't be a problem. of course it's pretty far out, so who knows what could happen between now and then. Hahah! Once that catalog releases, I'll definitely know better (as will you). :3It's too early to know for certain, but I *might* be looking to sponsor someone for the event this year. Will it work for you if I let you know definitively within a few days of the catalog being published?

This is Disney's biggest pin event. It's a ticketed event, meaning you have to pay for it to get in (and have to have a park ticket). In addition, there's a catalog of event exclusive pins (usually some pretty awesome ones) to purchase. At the event there are tons of people trading, panels, interviews, and lots of other Disney stuff.I'm super lost. What is this event? What's a sponsorship for? I'm pretty lost. lol

As for sponsors, sometimes people will act as a proxy for someone else, meaning Person B who can't go to the event will pay the ticket for Person A to go and buy whatever Person B needs. Since my bf will be able to go, but isn't a pin collector, he could be sponsored by someone and get stuff for them as I'd they were there.
Does that make sense?

Tickets generally increase slightly each year, but if memory serves correctly, I would expect the two day event to be approximately $150 per person, give or take (unless there is an enormous mark up, which always is a possibility). Then there is the possibility of breakfast and dessert event add ons, which should be about $25-35 each, give or take.
Please remember that this is just a guesstimate based upon memory; I wouldn't consider it accurate until Disney actually releases the event tickets and tells you how much it'll cost.
Looks like I will need a full Sponsor or someone to buy my RSP, like last year.

Thanks for the info!!
I'd be willing to sponsor/buy you RSP. Not sure which yet, though.
Per Purplemandms - "That sounds about right to me! But keep in mind that this is in addition to regular park admission. So like to sponsor me, someone without an annual pass, it'd be much closer to $250. (Some people may also ask you to pay for hotel, transportation, etc.) So be selective when you choose a sponsoree, and make sure you nail down a price up front! You can also sometimes just sponsor people's RSP, aka you pay for the privilege to have the first pick at the pins your sponsoree can pay for separately."
While this is very good advice, I don't know if I have ever heard of a Sponsoree asking for the Sponsor to cover the price of Park Admission or hotel. Usually, they just "take the place" of the Sponsor at the actual Event.
