So after debating since I got her in January I have finally taken the plunge and deboxed my gorgeous Designer Rapunzel doll after finding a great how to on this forum! And she looks so good! Her hair is so soft and that gown is gorgeous once it is freed to flow!My doll does have a little mark on her shoulder though (black paint?) and her left arm is quite loose But I love her none the less! I've put Flynn in with her but as I look at them together he looks like he is smelling her hair! Lol. I will have to sort that later. I plan on deboxing my designer Mother Gothel tonight and will hopefully get a few pics. Nowi just need a wee Pascal and will be happy with my wee collection! Thanks for reading my wee excitable piece of blurb!Sarah x
Aaaah, yay congrats! I should hopefully have Designer Rapunzel on the way soonish, I can't wait to see her in person, although mine will be staying in the factory packaging I bet we'd all love to see a few pics of her in all of her deboxed glory- I heard once she is deboxed she is one of the best! Thanks for sharing! <3
Oh PrincessxJasmine89 she really is some thing special. I adore her! Will upload pics soon currently sorting all my Disney stuff! My room looks like a Disney Store!
Well that certainly was a struggle! Mother Gothel did not want to be freed from her stand at all! It took longer to free her than Rapunzel. The stand fell apart. I love her dress details when she finally did decide to leave the box! And her dress does need a good iron.
I did notice her legs have dents in them though. Does anyone else's doll have this?
Also my Rapunzel has what I think is glue in a clump of her hair which I found when I was giving it a brush through. There also seems to be glue marks on her dress.

For the Designer dolls with fitted gowns, you really need to partially (or fully) undress them in order to take them off of the doll stand that is attached to the case. I have only deboxed the Designer Villain dolls (and none of the princesses), and for Designer Maleficent, Designer Queen Grimhilde, and Designer Mother Gothel, I had to basically slide their gowns off of them in order to unclip them from the stand. Designer Cruella de Vil did not need that treatment, because the high slit in her gown makes it not as restrictive in the hip area.
The dents in the legs are from the plastic tie that are used to hold the doll's legs together in the packaging. Depending on how tightly the factory workers tightened the ties, these horrible dents may or may not appear on the dolls. I don't think that there is a way to undo them, either.
I couldn't really see the glue clumps in you pictures of your Designer Rapunzel's hair or gown, but I can believe it. The factories that make Disney's dolls are not always very meticulous in their work, and satin is a very unforgiving fabric. Satin is prone to runs in the fabric and stains are just impossible to deal with.
Yeah I stripped down Gothel. Gorgeous dress but abit tight!I guess no one will see her legs. The plastic wrap around them were a nightmare too!The glue is so obvious now I've noticed it. Will have to reposition Flynn so he hides it. Will try get a better pic in the daylight. I do love my dolls though. Even with their wee flaws! I am worried about Rapunzels hair. I won't brush it again for fear of it falling out!Now I need to find a mini Pascal!
