Thought this might be fun for everyone. We could do a different topic every week!

For this week's Throw Back Thursday (TBT):
What was your first pin?

Mine was one that a friend brought back for me in high school. My high school participated in the high school band competition that Disney did/does (not sure if they still do anymore). I wasn't in band, so I couldn't go along, but a friend brought me back what would end up being my first pin. Didn't start getting into actual collecting until about a year ago though, but had this one around for a while.

When I visited Disneyland Paris 10/12 years ago I bought this pin:

I was only 6/8 years old, but this pin was a must have as I was a fan of mushu. I also bought a plush toy together with it.
Before I visited DLP last year august I came across this pin. Went looking for more info about it, and found out about pin trading. In paris I bought a winnie the pooh set of 4 pins and traded it with cast members in the store for others ( in the last hour of my trip  )

This was my first dip into the pin world! Had to get it, since it matched my Donald hoodie I have. :-)

my first pin was a very derp-faced Snow White that I loved-- got it on my first trip to Disney World... sadly it's been misplaced but I'll always remember it!

Pin 692: DS - Countdown to the Millennium Series #75 (Alice in Wonderland)

It was 1999 and many of my fellow beanie collectors were transitioning into pin collectors. I think for me this was the start of the weekly pin checks in the Disney mall stores to see if there were any new Wonderland pins being released. :)

These were the first pins I almost bought though - I remember seeing these in the Disney Gallery stores and thought about buying the set at the time but decided not to - so I had to wind up tracking them down later individually!

I got this one on my honeymoon:

On my next trip five years later, I got this one when I made a lightsaber during a Star Wars Weekend:

Up until last June, those were the only two pins I had! I might have acquired just a few since then. :D

This cute trio, it was when I was first thinking about starting to collect and trade but I wasn't really sure about how to get started.. then I found DPF.

Unfortunately I misplaced the pin :(

I visited Disneyland with some friends during my birthday weekend back in...2004? 2005? Anyway, one of my friends got a ticket package that included picking a few pins from a cast member. She got this pin for me because she knew how much I love Timon.

My then-boyfriend got me these pins on that same trip:

pin22333th200

And he also got me this pin, which sadly I've lost:

But that Timon was my first ever pin, and my absolute favorite pin of my entire collection.
