After a little over a week and giving up, I found the pin! (Or shall I say it was returned to me! By an unknown source! )

I awoke this morning to a terrible sound...

I guess the heat lately destoryed the working ness of the command strips i was using to hold up my pin boards...and they all came crashing down this morning. I spent some time and picked them all up and made sure no damage was done.

BUT one is missing. See i live in a small room, with few hiding spots. So this pin couldn't have just escaped somewhere. I had my sister help look, she has better eyes then i do especially when i'm just awake...to no avail we didn't find it...

i think one of my cats got it...because my dog wouldn't eat or chew somthing like that...

It was my LK PODM ;A;

After over 16 hours of looking I don't think I'm gonig to find it. Hand my sister and grandma help too, so unless ghosts hate me or my cats do it's gone.

That is sad to hear, as well as the one melting!!! Sorry to you both! Not sure your opinion on the supernatural, but my stuff disappears sometimes, important things, and then will show up right out in the open, in a place I see everyday! Sometimes it's a few hours, sometimes a few days and a couple of times it was over a month, but always seem to show back up, lol! Sooooo....maybe you just have a playful spirit hanging around like I seem to have around me! Wishing you the best of luck, hope it is laying on your bed when you wake up!!!

Im very sorry about your pin I hope your day gets better and that no naughty kitties took it. Best way to find something is look in the places where you tell yourself "Theres no way its here..." because ive found my keys in the fridge once LOL

I'm SO sorry. If it makes you feel better, I melted one of my Aladdin podms while trying to get a good picture of it. Lol.
OMG zoe where you using worlds brightest flashlight?! LOL im sorry for your loss as well and hope they make a pocahontas PODM just so you can get one

Nooo! That makes me more sad for you!

In fact I do believe in the paranormal...my boyfriend even yelled at me this mornig, "How is it that the 1 of the 2 most impoortant pins in your whole collection happens to be the one that goes missing!!" And all I can tell him is I DON'T KNOW!

I swaer I'm going to throw rocks at whatever it walked off with... ._. I got it from a really good friend here on DPF and I think that's why it's even more upsetting..

thanks though guys

Ok, it has to be somewhere! It isn't exactly a small pin!!!

But, for future reference, command strips can't handle that amount of weight. I wish they did because I love those things!

Good luck to you!

Well I sure hope you find the pin, but I will tell you, my cats steal my pins all the time because they love the rubber backs. And my little boy, Tigger Too, steal them before I can take the bubble wrap off and hides them. I only get them back when he brings them out to play with them again. So maybe your cat will return the pin to you at some point. My hubby helps me find pins with his CSI light. It's a little flashlight and it focuses your eyes only where the beam it. It really does work. Good luck and keep us posted.

My friends dog chews on the backs...I've never had one of my dogs take one cause they just aren't like that.

Id say move everything that it could have gone, I had a board of mine fall when one my cats knocked it and for the life of me one of my pins just vanished and we stripped the rooms to bits but couldnt find it, I bought it again as it wasnt a hard to find pin as we were jut baffld to where it was...

well a few months later (Id say around 3) I went to visit family and partner moved some stuff about and hello!! the pin appeared in the other room that it was lost in... cats could have played with it but I dont they moved it with their mouth since it didnt have the pin back on.

But then we are still missing a Marvel 6 Inch action figure that suddenly disappeared :s

hope you find it as I guess it will show up somewhere, maybe it fell into something that was underneath the boards like a bag etc

I am so sorry to read this. I lost one of my traders, eeyore as dinosaur, last week and searched for it like crazy 2-3 days to no avail. I am 99% sure that my cats hid it somewhere

Did you check in between your couch cushions and places like it might slip? I hope that it turns up when you least expect it.

We have checked everywhere and I had my boyfriend hold my tangled podm, and no joke, I didn't think my AP Physics class would ever come in handy as we tried to calculate where it would've feel.

I also realized I have mostly small cats, so I don't think they would've taken it.

There is a person in my household who may have stolen it and hence why the boards may have been knocked down in the process of taking it. (I use too many comnad strips and put new ones on every few mmonths and they've never ever fallen before).

My best pin friend, my grandmother and my boyfriend all think this person took it because it's super epically shady that this big heavy pin, one i love that's probably worth a little bit of money goes missing ;A; So we're just going to write it off as a loss until I can find a safe way to approach thid person.

Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear that. But unfortunately it would tally with the mysterious failure of the command strips.

I have had to deal with a roommate/housemate situation like that before, and it's always so uncomfortable. I hope the person feels remorse and returns it!

This is a textbook case of peschki's....

Peschki's are creatures that steal things, hide stuff use stuff, break stuff and all around cause havoc and mayhem. These 4 inch tall annoyances are incredibly good at making the humans in thier lives miserable, just for the fun of it.
