Okay, so I need the help of the pin trading community right now (that's where you guys come in),

So to sum it up, 2 of my most wanted pins (1 grail and 1 pin in my siggy that might as well be a grail are on Evilbay right now ending in 2 hours. Each pin is at $100 and they've sold for $189 and $135 respectively in the past.

That's not the important part though, the question I'm asking is, do you think I should go for them? As you know, I've had a sale thread up recently that has garnered me a fair share of pin budget. On top of 1 breathtaking zap, I have a decent amount in my pin budget. These 2 pins have the potential to wipe out my pin budget (for the year) depending on if they go any higher and I don't have a job to supplement these purchases (attending 2, soon to be 3 schools at once).

So the question is, what should I do? Or better yet, what would you do lol?

I don't want to disclose which pins they are but I might be able to say so in a PM so you can see what I'm spastic over. It probably is really easy to figure out anyways. Let me know what you would do in this situation and thanks again!

P.S. both pins end in about 2 hours @_@

*I'll fill this post with gifs once I get home in about 40 minutes...

you double posted.

personally, if I had the money in my budget to do it, i would put in a bid. Put in your max bid on one or both. and see what happens.

Some folks like to wait until the last minute to bid, and i see their reasoning, it doesnt let others think about trying to up their bid. The key to that is making sure you put in the max amount you are willing to pay rather than just enough to beat the current leader.

But to me, 2 hours or 2 minutes doesnt make much difference, I put in the max i am willing to pay and leave it at that. Less stress that way. Just remember if you bid on both, be preparedf to pay for both if you win. lol Or just bid on one and it might give you a higher budget for that one.

Yes, this. "sniping" used to be a thing on ebay, but now that you can do auto-bidding, where you put in a maximum and then it will increment your bid up automatically, it really isn't a relevant concept anymore. Enter the maximum you would be willing to pay; if the other bidder goes beyond that then you wouldn't have had it anyway.

I will not bid on our mutual grail to give you a better shot at it... I too was going to make a stab at her... Well them...lol... But I wish you the best...

I once let a grail of mine go for a couple of bucks higher than I wanted pay and thought I'd just make sure to get it the next time it came up. Only problem is that hasn't come up again. If you can afford it, I wouldn't pass them up.

Now I am re thinking my thought... Lol...

If there were not soo many home projects on my to do list this month...... UGH!!!

You already know the answer to your question.. You just want us to agree with the decision you've already made. hehe. A little Frasier for you there.

GO. FIGHT. WIN!!! :bigthumb: And pm me when it's over. I enjoy hearing about these things!

I know what the pins are... :suspect:

id say think about the total amount of $$ you have for both, do you want to put bids in on each, or is there 1 you'd definately prefer to get, and put all your $$ on that?...either way id go for atleast 1...possibly 2 if your budget will allow, if u get outbid then atleast you'll know you tried and bid your max! good luck

I bid...it went to $170 O___O NO...THANK YOU....lol I'm really glad it jumped that high because if it didn't, I'd feel like I missed out on something. Sorry, but $170 is way out of my price range, that pretty much IS my pin budget haha xD

EDIT: That being said, IDK if I should go for the second one...I mean...last time it went for $120, now $135...not too much of a steal imo haha xD Oh well...Goofy, if you want to bid on that one, feel free too, I'm pretty iffy on dropping over $100 on a pin that isn't grail of all grails like

Sorry to hear u didn't get it Kupo x

Don't feel bad ^_^ I sure don't so why should anyone else If I had a job and could make $170 in 1-2 days, I definitely would have bought it, but timing is key and since I don't have a job yet, I decided I can't commit to that kind of purchase If I ever do see that pin again, will I want it very badly, yes. Is it slowly becoming my next grail of all grails, yes. However, I know I'll get it...patience is everything!

Now how does one close a thread like this I can't find a checkbox anywhere >_<
