UK coming soon pins
I went in the disney store this morning for my stitch pins and they dont bloody have them!!!! no order was recived :( i now have to wait until thursday why bring it forward if they cant ship the pins out!! any one else had the same problem?

Had the same problem today! My mum was in Solihull so I asked her to get me the stitch one, But they told her they hadn't got it and to try on monday!!! :( They did a similar thing with the Stitch Pirate, they pushed back the release date and we went on that day to buy it, but they told us it wasn't going to be released for another couple of days. Luckily the Manager sold us one for travelling over there :)

Yeah i didn't see any either but Mrs. Potts and Chip was out so that was abit odd. To be honest i thought you romford store pin nuts had beaten me to the punch!:p

Awhhh no I love mickey and minnie pins I have LOTS of really lovely interesting ones :) but I could say what you've all said about other characters I guess :) it's daft they put the date back because like my store got it's delivery on Tuesday so it would be too late to get them in :/

Ive asked Adam on facebook to see if he can get a rep from disney to attend...might be a long shot though, if not then maybe do a petition/questionnaire for all traders at mousemeets and send them off to disney..

Disney aren't interested in anything that isn't official. People have been trying for quite some time to get a Disney rep to come to one fo the many pin trading meets that are set up around the country, but nothing. They've certainly got no interest in Mousemeets. It's a ridiculous attitude for the company to take and it's about time they started listening to the people that are spending a large chunk of money on their merchandise.

After the Stitch fiasco today, I've decided that if my online order is messed up in any way I'm going to stop collecting UK pins. There are plenty of US and French pins that I want, and I've only kept up with the UK pins as I've got most of the ones released. I've had enough of Disney UK.

What did Lee Evans say in a concert - "It's all crap!!" Disney UK do not listen, if they are taking your hard earned £££'s then great - the bottom line is that Pin Trading in the UK sucks big time!

ive asked various questions about pins on there facebook in the last week or so and got no replies,i looked today and my messages had been deleted.also ive emailed them 3 times about not getting my 350 movie rewards voucher, surprise surprise no reply.its makes me so mad when i think about all the money ive given them in the last couple of years

Here we go again - there are only now 10 pins available to purchase on the UK on-line store, as it is now showing the following pins as being unavailable - looks as if possibly all sold out!!

Pin 72028: Disney Store Europe - Robin Hood in Nottingham
Pin 72331: Disney Store Europe - Aladdin vs. Jafar
Pin 80419: Disney Store Europe - Mickey Mouse Comic
Pin 80458: Disney Store Europe - Jack Skellington Pumpkin King
Pin 80721: Disney Store Europe - Muppets Set
Pin 81683: Disney Store Europe - Genie and Lamp
Pin 82599: Disney Store Europe – Gaston

you would think now that they have sold off all the old stock and have hardly any available that they would release a load of new pins, rather than just a couple which are due out over the next 4 weeks

It is pitiful!!

10 pins available for purchase on site & only 4 upcoming over the next 4 weeks - ridiculous, the UK are not even averaging one pin release a week!

Look at odpt.com - over 90 releases between the 2 resorts up to end April

and dont forget DLRP who average 1-2 pins every saturday a month so you wonder why they cant use the same system here and have 1-2 pins a week

Of course! Makes the UK offerings even more shameful! I reckon it's because the UK does not have a Disney park/resort so the interest is less

I find that the Disney store in Merry Hill in the midland is good for pins to purchase. However the 'Cast Members' if you could call some of them that are inconsistant. The older members often where there lanyard and are happy to trade. However the younger members just chew gum, and when I asked one of them if I could trade they told me they hadn;t got a clue what I was on about. Disney UK really needs a shake up!!

How many people have complained to the DS about recent releases? or lack of, and the mess with Gaston?

I have had about 10+ emails back and forth with them regarding the Gaston pin and a phone call when I was out ... typical!

I would love to hear how you have all got on expressing your views to them, Have you managed to speak to someone higher? or even had 2 emails from the same person??

By the way, No Stitch pins in Norwich store either, CM said they were on the delivery manifesto, but they must have "forgotten" to send them! (just like my 2nd Gaston pin) Thanks DS so that was another 90 mile round trip for NOTHING!

On a serious note, who the heck do we actually complain to?? I've had a looksee at the UK sites etc but it would seem that any complaints etc are purely to do with merchandise - this is different. I think I said a while ago that I would happily draft a letter with your help but where does it get sent to??

Well, you could talk to customer services at the Uk Head Office in London.....I've had dealings with then in the past.( the address is on the back of any UK store pinback as I recall)

The last thing Disney want is bad publicity, but I have to say that as far as I'm concerned, pins are not high on their list of merchandise to promote at this moment.

They did promote a pin event last year in Milton Keynes that was extremey well supported by pin traders ( despite a miscommunication regarding the pins being sold at the event) but I would be very pleasently suprised if they repeat this this year.

There seems to be a lower profile regarding pin sales in the UK from Disney at the moment......let's see how it goes....

Have tried CS in London - just got passed about to 2 or 3 different "Representatives" - was told that they would make a note & "pass it on" (probably into the trash bin!) - will try again!

It's blatantly obvious that pins are not high on their list BUT if they were to focus a little bit more on the traders/collectors points of view then it may benefit them & increase sales - that's what it's all about at the end of the day!

The event in MK was well attended despite the mess-up, but that was the only one in a 12 month period, we need more "events" around the country - MK is okay for London & the surrounding area but what about those folk up north etc? Mousemeets is next on the agenda - how well this will be attended is anyone's guess, but the tickets are not selling as fast as last year - this is not a pin specific event mind.

I'd like to try to "increase" the pin concern in the UK - maybe it's a case of writing to Steve Miller - any other suggestions?

you would think that they would take on board collectors ideas and things that annoy them to make it better.also why dont they follow forums like this one, they could produce so much more pins, there is deffo demend for them.
ive suggested many ideas but no-one is ever bothered at disney.
it would be nice if we got some mystery box sets, jumbos, store exclusives (which would encourage tradin),etc
