New info up on Disneypinsblog now. The RSP pins and the registration dates. Rumor is the DLR is already sold out. Sorry, this info is actually about the PTN.

There is a post about the May Up Anniversary PTN with dates and pins. Under the Fairy Tales link on the page, there is info about that event.
 
So $125 after the gift card. Wasn’t it $130 prior years? Did they actually lower the price? That can’t be right.

Glad to see the auction again. I always enjoy seeing those. No breakfast again. Guess that’s probably gone for good.

Man, I missed the breakfast by a year, since LIAA was my first WDW trade event. I was hoping it would be back this year. At least the silent auction will be back (though I'm afraid how much the lots will go for!)

The scavenger hunt sounds fun!

Used to be a $30 gift card. I think it was $35 a couple years back.
 
The gift card thing is really annoying. It originally started because they offered two $15 Food & Beverage vouchers with the event. When gift cards became a thing, they switched to that rather than paper vouchers only good for food. So the GC was supposed to cover the cost of two lunches (of course, everyone just uses it on pins, lol.) And it's not like lunch at Epcot has dropped in price.
 

That makes sense. I wondered how that got started.

Once Disney started the Event Gift Card, it was always $30. The overall Event Price, however, has been steadily increasing over the years.

Disney must be thinking that $150 is probably the max they can charge (without enhancing the Event) so, they have decreased the Gift card by $5 to net more $$$ from us!
 
What are the items for the silent auction? Also, are they bidding money (not pins, I assume)? If it’s money, is it cash or they take credit card?

Won’t be making it after all. Will be looking to sponsor someone though. Maybe next year...we are focusing funds for a solid trip at DLR for Star Wars land.

From what I remember reading of past events, it's things like framed sets, AP pin sets, older pins, and I think other merchandise. It's a money auction, and I would assume they accept credit cards since I don't think they would expect people to be carrying around hundreds or thousands in cash in the hopes that they win an auction.
 
The gift card value going down and therefore the ultimate event cost going up sure makes more sense than the other way!

The auctions are large sets of framed pins, usually around a theme. For example, last year one of them was Haunted Mansion and there were I think three frames with about 50 pins or so. The pins tend to be mostly lower LE and are almost all AP/PP. They do take credit cards but the bidding gets pretty high. Think $thousands. But just seeing the sets is a lot of fun. And it doesn't cost anything to put in a low price bid at the beginning just for the fun of it.
 
I can't wait to see the catalog. My niece and sister who trades are super excited for the scavenger hunt. Even my sister who doesn't trade likes this year's theme.
