Since frozen is bigger and better than tangled since winning 2 oscars it looks like elsa dethroned rapunzel. I will now sell my elsa stained glass for $1000 and frozen marquee for $800 and I know I will get it. I would like to hear the communitys opinion on the future of frozen pins

I was always wondering if this was a second account or not...I'm pretty sure it is now given the blatant attempt to start something

On that note, Elsa definitely dethroned Rapunzel in the movie world, but in the pin world...Ralph is still on top! Until "Frozen" or "Tangled" gets more than 800 people at a GSF release...WRECK-IT-RALPH is better than both of those movies!!!!!

This is why I decided not to continue with my interest in pin collecting. Ridiculous.
 
Well to be fair frozen had No Good competition this year, look at the runner ups. And I really think people jumped to frozen when tangled got too hard for them. (Second chives) the Dsf set sold for 750 with surprise.
 
Well I was new to "pins" back in November. When I saw all LE pins that people bought for what, $25, then coming home and putting them on ebay for $200? I lost interest REAL quick. The Elsa window is what did it for me. I do have the open edition snow flake, booster set, and Paris heart. I enjoy my LE SQ Elsa doll much more! And paid the same amount then for her as I would have for a little pin.
 
Is it weird that I kind of hoped that "The Wind Rises" or "The Croods" won? I don't know, I had a secret hope. The Wind Rises is so beautiful and I really enjoyed The Croods. Don't get me wrong though (before I get attacked by a horde of fangirls lol), Frozen deserves it. Just wish it had a larger competition.
 
I do like frozen more I just think people are being greedy on putting the prices up 10 times the amount and then moaning they can't sell them there are loads on ebay which have been marked up loads and have been sitting there for ages with no one interested
 
If I remember correctly, I bought my Elsa Stained pin for about $160 (or $170, I can't remember). Great price from an amazing pin trader and I never hesitated. I guess itt's something personal, but I don't pay more than $200 for something.

Because some people don't think it's an ugly pin, obviously. Many people want it so the price goes up.

I'm okay with it, not as excited as other fans lol. It definitely deserves it but as Ozzie said, it didn't have much competition and that's a bit of a shame.
 
It doesn't matter how many Oscars Frozen won, pin prices won't reflect off of that. Frozen pins started off high because of a few individuals that always overhype every movie that comes out. (If that statement offends you, you might be one of them!)


Plus Frozen had no competition this year, hell I could have made an animated film of me running around in my boxers and it would have been a better movie than the Croods.
 
I'm glad frozen won but I will say I preferred "the wind rises" but that's me personally. I was raised on ghibli films before disney and they will always hold a place in my heart. But at least frozen won the oscar for original score this time!!!

after WiR lost to Brave last year, I didnt trust the Academy to get it right for Frozen, so I was nervous until I heard they won. I didnt see the one that won over Get a Horse, but I was still sad that Get a Horse didnt win.

I was sad tooo when Get a Horse lost And definitely when Brave won over WIR, it was like WTF?!!!
