What is it about stitch???
I saw the film when it first came out and when I started collecting pins I wondered what to pick and I picked stitch and I just love the little furball XD Ive seen all the movies, and the disney channel series the first one. I cant stand the new version without lilo as the dubbed version sounds weird and the reason she dont want him anymore is down to lilo have a boyfriend and stitch is not wanted seems soooo far fetched to me then I will not watch the new season with this other girl. eugh thats one thing I hate.

For me it's all about 2-D animation. It's one of my favarite Disney movies. Good music, good characters, not a princess bla bla bla story. It's not that I don't like princesses but Stitch its different. It's the pet you will like to have. You can talk with him, have fun and he will defend you no matter what. I have not seen the new season but if Lilo did not want him, bad for her.

I really love the movie, but you gotta admit, the pins are so creative. The Stitch Invasion pins and him dressed as other characters is a-dorable.

THIS!!

The pins they do with Stitch are so creative. You have to admit, they do more creative things with Stitch than pretty much any character out there. The main Stitch pins I really like are the Invasion and Stitch AS pins. I love those of any character though. They just do more Stitch ones than any other character.

I dont get it eitherI have seen the first movie and wasnt that impressed but to each his own I guess now I just finished The Princess and The Frog last night and OMG I LOVED it if they make Ray the lightening bug pins I would buy them all

My kids really like & collect Stitch pins and I agree with everyone saying how creative they are. I don't collect them for myself, but I love to see all the different invasion pins, etc.

About the movie, though, all I can say is I want whatever they were smoking when they came up with that one! Man! My kids have watched it for years, and I must confess I *never* saw it because I would hit "play" and then jam out of the room so I could get some time to myself. Then last fall my youngest was ready and I actually sat down and watched it with him and OMG, hilarious! Between the fish and the PBJs and Elvis and the aliens and the foster parents and the CIA...wth?! :)

Usually I get busted for falling asleep during "family movie time" on the couch, but this one kept me awake because I was just trying to keep up with the crazy. Highly entertaining!

If I may ask, where did you see the english dubbed version? I know Disney had season 1 translated and dubbed, but it hasn't yet made it to air here in the US sadly :(

(I say season 1 since a 2nd season has aired in Japan already)

Hey there! The first season aired in Britain last October, but it is on Youtube. Look for the member ChrisDilke, he has the whole of the first season, the xmas special (which is soooooo good) plus a non-dubbed episode from season 3. Reason - It has.....Lilo in it!!! So you have to try and make things out from what they do cause its in Japanese. Season 2 is supposed to be shown soon on australian screens (which is where ChrisDilke lives) so keep your eyes open!

Hope this helped!

I like Lilo & Stitch. I actually find it hilarious! But I am glad I never developed any need to like Stitch and any of his merchandise! :) I don't quite get it either. But I do recommend watching the movie!

Stitch has always been my favourite character, it's the naughty and mischievous side to him that I adore. Also cute and fluffy. :D

I was kinda bummed when I started to collect pins because he's so popular and the great pins are so hard to collect!

I grew up watching the films and watching the series on disney channel. He's probably one of the cutest/funniest characters on disney aswell :)

Seriously, there's like... a shameful, shameful list of Disney movies I never saw. I haven't seen Lilo and Stitch; I haven't seen Up; I haven't seen WALL-E... Crystal and Dan just shake their heads when I broach the subject.

I imagine I might get a slightly better reaction if I told them that I never learned to read or something.

also didn't see Wall-E or Up until last year...wow. amazing. you must must see them. i just watched princess and the frog finally the other day, also a great one. i haven't seen ones like hercules, Hunchback of Notre Dame, emperor's last groove, etc., just personally don't really have a desire to watch them. but there are some that i haven't seen that i DO want to, like Mulan, Robin Hood, The Incredibles, Sword in the Stone...

you know how to read?!? wow, jealous. I'm still working on that...lol

OMG - Jason I knew about - But seriously Cristina!!!!!! I am going to kidnap you both tie you up and have a FULL disney movie marathon!!! You havent seen Robin Hood or Mulan?? We might have to stop being friends now . . . . but seriously very serious about the fact that we should have a disney movie marathon! I own all of the ones listed above and many many more!!! It maybe silly but when I am having a bad day I either go to disneyland or put on a disney movie.

lol . . . but back on the subject:

You have to see the movie to understand it. Seriously there is no way around it! When that movie came out I used to quote it all the time . . its witty and funny plus stitch is "ALSO CUTE AND FLUFFFFFYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!"

Yes it helps very much! I have season 1 subtitled, and no one has done season 2 yet sadly (it seems theres no interest fromthe subbing groups)
I still hold out hope they're gonna start airing it here,I had figured that was why they pulled the original series from its daily rotation early last year

Why do you love Stitch?

I've noticed that Stitch is an extremely popular character to collect! I personally have never seen the cartoon or know much about it. Can you break it down why he is loved so much? :D

The characters I collect all have 1 thing in common for me: Childhood nostalgia...and he wasn't around when I was a kid or I'd probably love him too lol.

Hey,

I think it's hard to see what's so appealing about him if you haven't seen the movie. Before I had seen Lilo and Stitch, I thought Stitch was kinda ugly and did not see the appeal at all. But then I watched the movie and I became Stitch obsessed for a few years. The character is actually really funny as well as cute! Watch the film ...then you'll understand his appeal I think! :)

Reasons why I love Stitch!

Hi,

I love Stitch because I see him like an alien dog, and I am a huge animal lover. The fact that he was adopted by Lilo touched me from the start. Then watching him adapt, and try to get accepted by his new family was so endearing. There were times he was so sad that they made me cry. So basically, his sweet and soft side get to me. Many of his pins depict his life story, which is a nice reminder of how it all began.

My husband likes the naughty and funny Stitch, because he must have been a naughty boy growing up...lol And his cousins, all of the experiments, are really funny and very creative.

To see Stitch as different presidents, or as the prince in the various movies shocking the princesses is really comical. His Stitch Get Your Own Movie Series of pins made us laugh like crazy. Then he had the Stitch Invasion of different countries, where he is every nationality. Basically, he has been in everything and has been either super funny, sweet, or sad to the point it can even move you to tears in his pins.

I felt exactly the same way that you do... Until last week. Then I watched the movie. Go. Get the movie. You'll be glad you did... Plus, you'll totally "get it". Trust us. :)

I'm going to go get it today!!!

Funny story: Years ago when it first came out, it was shown on an airplane I was in. I plugged my headphones in and started to listen. If my memory serves me correctly, the movie starts out in a spaceship or on another planet or something. Anyway, 10 minutes in...I was wondering when they were were going to stop speaking the alien language...it was getting ridiculous! Later on, I figured out I was on the wrong airplane channel...I was listening to the Spanish version. *Hangs head in shame* I never did finish the movie.

I can just picture this, and it is something I might have done. LOL

I haven't seen the Stitch movie in a long time. Perhaps, I will watch it this weekend. When it first came out, and my daughter saw it, she got into music, started playing the piano, and she played an Elvis song 'Blue Hawaii' at her first recital.

Personally, I prefer Stitch as Tron pins. Go figure, huh. :)
