I remember a thread about the best deals we've gotten on pins so I thought I'd start one about what the most expensive pin you've ever purchased.

Mine is virtually a tie between two pins ($45 for the first; $43 for the second):

Pin 8515: DS - Beauty and the Beast - Stained Glass (Boxed Set)

and

Pin 57076: DisneyShopping.com - Belle and Beast Feeding Birds (Super Jumbo)

I paid shipping and 8 pins for one of my many HGS on PP number 121!
New member had joined Dizpons .and got that pin as a gift and wanted to trade it for something to trade to the CM's
So I asked her what she neded....I know NO money exchanged..but thats the most I paid..and some others but that sticks out to me more at the moment

i think it is currently $30 with shipping from UK for the new Robin Hood puppet show pin. I very very rarely go over my $19 limit, very rarely come close.....i will just wait for the next oportunity.

I'm too embarassed to say what the most I've ever spent on a pin was. It's pretty shameful and a lot of money. Let's leave it at that.

Okay, I guess I don't feel too too bad about spending $40-45 on a pin (and the $45 was really a 4-pin set)...which I then see on the bay closed recently at $30

The most, before, that I would ever spend on a pin was around $20, but these jumbo pins are pricey!

The newer pins usually sell for less than $100, but unfortunately I need are older pins and sell for $200 or more. And the market has really dropped in terms on prices. Five years ago a pin that now sells for $50 was closer to $150 to buy. So in some ways the bad economy is good for buying pins, but not so good for selling them.

nice. I often wonder about this ???? but was not sure if ppl would like to tell this end of the price game. So far my fam has only spent $20.+ tax on one pin. Not a lot in my eyes (so far that is..lol)..

I bet there are sum ppl with sum real crazy expensive pins. Its kind of like in my old hobby of card collecting. I would with no quetions hand over $700 for a Nolan Ryan card (rookie) even though last i looked it was in price guide as worth $500.

Just depends on how bad we want sumthing and when it is around to b bought.

Cant wait to see all the little gems in our members collections. :wiggle::anxious:

For a long while the most I'd spent was $100 for :

But if I remember correctly, I spent about $120-130 on :

Luckily I've been focusing more on Jasmine recently and her pins aren't all that expensive.

I paid $46 for the Cast Member only Star Tours Piece of History pin (DLR, WDW is still one of my grails.) I think I paid around $40 for the Golden Poppy Grand Californian. That was last summer. I've seen them go unsold now for $5 + $6 for shipping. Goes to show that patience may be worth something. Then again, sometimes you just don't know if another one will come along for a while.

$46 for [pinpics]69876[/pinpics] but it might soon be more if I can decide whether to buy something I have my eye on.:anxious:

Mir - that is a pretty pin! If I started branching out into more princesses (although I do now have some Rapunzel and Giselle pins), that Aurora pin would be first on my list!

$30. I have a rule that I never spend more than $30 for a pin. While there are tons of pins I will never have because of this rule, it keeps me from overspending and having to sell pins to pay the bills.

Umm... a lot! lol

Really, I feel like I have found so many amazing deals since the time I started collecting pins. I have bought pins that were selling for $100-$150 for $15 and $20 on MANY occasions and I love that!

What I spent the most on by far was a frame set...

Pin 27877: WDW - This Is Love - Large Pin Frame Set: Castle Scene

I paid $500 for this set.

As for single pins it is hard to say really. I buy in lots more than anything so I don't spend big amounts on single pins the majority of the time.

I did spend $100 for this one several years back...

Pin 47222: WDW - It All Started With Walt - Super Jumbo Pin

I also spent $100 on this one about 4 years ago.

Pin 7165: DL - Haunted Mansion Holiday Translucent (Mansion)

Beyond that I have spent $50-$75 a few times but most of the time I really put my limit at $30-$40 for a hard to find pin. I just hold out until I get a decent deal on them and for the most part I have been lucky enough to find them even if i have to wait...haha

I love the whole series and am tempted to get them all. Of course, I also collect Snow White's Prince so I had to get [pinpics]69054[/pinpics] too.

Most expensive that I bought on ebay was pin #32625 Family pin gathering goofy bellman cart sculpt, toooo much money about 4 years back. Have couple framed Haunted Mansion's that I got at Disney also to much money but I would buy them again if I had to.

I spent $42 on this beauty. Never in a million years did I ever think I would spend this much on a pin, but I am totally in love with her!!! Don't know when I will do something like that again. Typically $20 is as high as I go!!
