Time came and the line started moving. Everyone got their stuff a took it to the cars and cleaned up our mess. A second line was formed for I guess the Marquees??? They let 10 people in the store at a time. Once inside, they took your place # card in exact order. EXACT order! They took your place card again and marked a slash across the numbers and you asked for what pins you wanted. Of course, a set please. And 1 marquee. They said so the line can move if there is a problem a cast member to the side will help you. I paid left the line and looked at my pins. I had to return one because on one the red balloon had a big dimple. I exchanged it and it went back into the pool of pins. We got validated and left. Paid $10 for parking and am Carrows having breakfast.

So sorry for Josh. They got split and the wife only got a set.

In my opinion, the best way to handle something like this with high demand and limited supply is the way concerts have been doing it for years. Wristbands and a random drawing eliminate the "unofficial" lines, the need to spend 12 hours waiting in line, and the security required to enforce the rules. Distribute wristbands at 8:00 am, have the drawing at 9:00 am, line up and get your pins at 9:30. With that said, however, my daughter was as disappointed that she didn't get to "urban camp" as she was that she didn't get the pins.

Well it seems that 150+ people managed to line up all at once without killing each other at 11:00 pm so I'm assuming these same 150+ people could have managed to line up at 5:00 am the exact same way....way to add 6-8 unnecessary hours to your wait time by complaining....

And PS yes I'm bitter bc I had to work and couldn't get there by 11:00 when I was already planning on going at 5AM. Grrrr, this system is flawed.

is it alright to say as long as his wife got a set, so did josh as they are married ? Or was another set for a forum member ? :( I'm very cautious , perhaps paranoid, at the way I say things now .
I want to hear from our forum members , did you get your pins ? I really hope that you did .

I commented on the DSF FB page myself. There will always be those who complain about not getting the item. Ask them if they should increase the edition size, and they will say no. Everyone always wants a pin's LE to be exactly the amount they own.

Well, my person bombed on me and I won't be getting a set. Should have bought from the bay when prices were down. Now it looks like I'm gonna be crying tonight.

If anyone is trading, I will literally give anything from my Traders. Not doing pins anymore, but still doing Carl and Ellie! Please send me an email at singlikekermit @ yahoo dot com...I am not getting forum PMs for some reason.

Just finished reading this thread and thought I'd check on the bay. There's a set listed for $250 BIN. Thought I'd mention it, in case someone is interested. Also saw the individual pins with starting bids of 49.99.

This is nuts! I'm thanking myself for not collecting Up at the moment.
I would be going nuts.

I honestly had no idea that the set was going to demand such a high price. A few had told me. I saw it selling for $200 for sure, but not $250-$300 lol damn

I'm sure the people who sold it on the Bay for cheap "didnt happen to get the pins" cause they can now make more $ and resell them for more.

That's what the person I pre-bought them from said. We'll see if he/she has it listed in the next few weeks, though.

Can I just say one thing here... "Designer Doll Pins" I paid $700 for my set, but I know that when they were at their peak some paid over $1000 for them, and now they are selling for $600 so just patience, time, and luck will pay off I think. If you panic and pay the current prices, well then that IS what they are worth. Don't pay, the prices will go down. It is of course just my opinion. :) I hope everyone who wants these will be able to get them without going broke.
