I asked eBay seller *removed* a question about a pin they were selling because the pic they used was from pinpics and I wanted to make sure the pin they were selling was identical. Here's the response I got:

REALLY? My picture is from Pinpics? I had no idea! Wow, you sure are smart. Are you interested in purchasing th e pin? Have you placed a bid? Yeah that's what I thought. Move on, genius.

That is pretty poor customer service. Can you post the exact text you sent as a question? I feel like we need more context. Also what pin was it?

lol... what a nice guy. was there any talk of scrapper in your ?? he/she may have just got afended or what not.

Pretty sure ebay says somewhere that you have to post a picture of what you are selling

Yes there are generic stock photos, but those can land you in some hot water :3

"Your picture is from pinpics. Is the pin your selling identical to the one pictured? For example, can you see the white in Pluto's right eye? And is his left eyelid darker? If not, your pin is a scrapper.
Thanks."

So, I guess I should not have used the word scrapper. If the sellers pin did not have the specifics I was asking about it was probably a counterfeit rather than a scrapper, but, same difference to me. The pin is a pluto triangle puzzle piece. I'm a newbie so I'm not yet familiar with all the lingo. I chose the user name truetrader because that's what I want to be.
By the sellers response I'm guessing the pin is either a scrapper or counterfeit.

That seller buys her pins in bulk on Ebay. Just search her as a buyer and you will see that she buys anything that pops as a big, bulk lot.

So, I am sure that she ends up buying scrappers along with the good pins. Just at the beginning of October she bought 4000 pins for $1100. I would not expect much good from her.

Fair enough question. i can see a little how she could get aggitated by it but i think thats her personality. she sent me two sarky messages when I asked for dimensions of a badge she was selling. She then edited the description and put the dimensions in! And then told me to read the description properly...which I did! And I didn't message her back so she sent another second bitchy message!

She is really rude.

I just got done reading the feedback's on this seller. Thanks for the warning. But sellers have to expect that if you sell a pin that has a scrapper alert, we're gonna ask. I've been burned by too many scrappers so I don't even bother buying pins on ebay anymore if they have a scrapper alert.

When I posted a while back about this, I was not given any link to any sellers who pay that little. When I was sick two weeks ago and just wasting time on the internet thinking about this very thing, I was unable to find any seller that had them for less than $.35-$.40 a pin, and like you said...I don't know if that included shipping or not either...so between costs, shipping, shipping supplies, ebay fees, paypal fees, and the time used to to list, package and mail everything....I don't know how it's even worth it. know what I mean?
 
I would have thought 99.7% positive feedback was acceptable until i saw this. This person is a monster. Thanks Merryweather for the exceptional ebay policing skills, and thanks Hopemax for that list. Also, that list is really cool but it appears to be over a year old. Does anyone maintain a similar list?
 
I saw the name before it was removed and I'm shocked o.o I did buy 2 pins from this seller and though I did get a broken pin stub in one of them, I let them know and they were really nice about it all, wasn't mean or nasty and gave me a partial refund of my choice. :o

Perhaps they have bad days and good days? I know I'm cranky/easily irritated when I'm sick etc, I'm just glad I bought something from them on a good day if that's the case :3
