Just wondered what everyone else's pin resolutions would be for 2013??

Mine is to get the last two Frankenweenie pins I need and try my hardest to get the last 4 stitch experiment pins I require to have all the pins I need and be up to date with all my collections thus saving me some money haha

I would love to be able to zap someone one of there most wanteds :D

I would also love to get hold of the hades / meg spinner.

Mine is to complete my Fox and the Hound collection and maybe Oliver and Compnay, Bolt, and Frankenweenie too :D
Also to obtain my lion king grail somehow O___O

Happy New Year :wavey:

My resolutions are to continue to
1. enjoy the hobby as much as I have since 2004
2. stay in touch with the pin loving & pin trading community via DPF and emails while we are overseas
3. pick up a few good pins...and,
4. successfully ignore the lure of the 'Designer' and DOPM pins - so far so good on this one!

Dial back the spending. :x:

We'll see how that goes. Last year's resolution was to stay away from DSF pins. That didn't happen at all and actually was a major factor for being at the top end of the "What did you spend on pins this year" poll.

Yeah, I'm with you on that one! With a new house and all the new financial responsibilities that is going to take, I need to scale things back, too. And besides, this was my first year in pin trading and I think I did pretty well and got a ton of my most wanted pins so I can afford to cool out a bit this coming year. I WILL get my Autumn Ariel this year though. Oh yes, she will be mine! She is my holiest of holies and I'd really like to close 2013 with that one :)

Not need any more cork boards! Since i just added 2 new large boards I should be good for awhile. Least until summer :P

I want to start collecting ALL of the podm pins. I have 3 already. I can't remember the member's name but I'm going to build the display for them like his with the boxed like frame and led lights behind the to show the scenes. I'm excited about doing this. He has shown his display on the showroom page. Check it out. You'll love it.

I am not spending as much on pins in 2013 as I did in 2012. It helps that PODMs are done. I also want to do a big zap this year, which is awesome because I've saved the addresses of everyone I've traded with over the last year, so keep an eye out ;)

I added another one to my list to frame all the pins I have and get them displayed. I had two big frames but then they were to heavy and began to warp. My list is getting a bit longer haha.

I also hope to build up traders and maybe get to go to Paris again sometime in 2013/2014

I posted this on Pintalk but

I would like to get back under 1000 pins on my wants list. But I started adding a bunch of pins in 2012 that I wouldn't normally add because of their low edition size, so I don't know if I'll be successful, if I continue to add pins like that.

But I've decided my "focus" for 2013 is going to be all the Disneyland series and Annual Passholder series pins that I missed out on during my online pin hiatus from 2005-2010. So those would include

  • Disneyland Dining AP series
  • E-Ticket Attractions series
  • Original Attractions
  • Annual Passholder "Welcome" Dangles
  • Memories 2005 snapshots
  • Greetings 2006 stamps
  • Wish You Were Here Postcards
  • Magical Memories
  • Walt Disney Heritage AP series

1) get a job 2) spend all my money at DLR 3) have lots of fun trips with my fam

mayb 2 and 3 are the same... i will spend all my money on fun trips with my fam... lol

I think for me it would be to have my Piglet collection increase & obtain my first PODM at some point! :)
I also would love to ZAP a few people their grails! That would be more rewarding for me, i'd say!

:hsd:

Continue to Collect and Trade while keeping it fun.
Set money aside for my D23 Expo trip this year, just in case something amazing is released :anxious:

Mine is to be more generous.

what the?! You guys are already generous, you guys are freakin' awesome!! :)

anyway, mine would be to stop spending on traders and use that money for pins in my collection. I learned a valuable lesson this summer when I went super broke buying traders and then I pretty much had to sell them back :( also, I'm thinking of having a budget each month to how much I should spend on pins (don't know know if this is actually possible, but I will try) ! haha

I was pretty good about sticking to my resolutions for 2012, so I'll continue those which were to not spend so much on traders, spend less on pins, and to finish the PODM series. My new one for 2013 will be to really concentrate on my main collections and to not tie up my pin pennies in traders and instead just spend it on the pins I really want.
