A "member" just jumped in a chat with me, and was being very pushy about me buying presale June soda fountain pins.

If you search him, he has no feedback- or profile.
Also one of our "trusted" members received a similar message, and soon after "the bad member" blocked the member.

Now I am NEVER the person to tattle on anyone, but when your pushing this hard to gain peoples money with no sources, or feedback, I want to protect our tight knit DPF community.

Sounds like a new id for some other member.

I appreciate your concern for the community, but posts naming other members in this way may be deemed derogatory and not allowed on DPF.

yea I was in chat and he just <poof> messaged me and I thought it was a little rude to just PM me and try to make a sale when I wasn't even discussing buying anything. Just here let me PM everyone in chat and see if they wanna buy stuff that isn't even out yet. This has Nigerian Prince Scam all over it. I have ipod for sale and a check I can't cash I send you check for $450 and ipod and you give me $800 ok! yeesss masstteerrr here is my bank account.....

Where did that come from? Who are you? No-ones name is mentioned, no drama is implied. AND last but not least, why would an informative thread warning folks of some suspicious activity be considered drama or clique activity??????

You PM me implying I am hate mongering because of my previous reply and now you call US all drama makers? Really? Under normal operational procedures i would totally welcome you to DPF but you are brand new and attacking people and accusing of drama on a simple "warning" thread. My reply here might get me an infraction but you seriously need to reconsider how you approuch things. Not everything is about you, or your friend. I do not see any names in the OP, or in any replies.
 
there are rules here to protect nieve and sometims kids on here. Selling things in chat is one of them. There are clear rules on sales and pre-sales for that matter. I for one would NEVER buy or trade with someone with no feedback etc. You dont even have a pinpics nor enough posts to sell PERIOD. To add your unpleasant response kinda gives the impression Dans bad vibe was site on. THANK YOU DAN

The DPF is a very warm and welcoming place. One of the many reasons I joined. That and it also has a very strong sense of the word, community. However. Like a community we will protect all the new and old members from anyone looking to cause drama or take advantage of any of the members. DPF has taken great pride in protecting the pin community and will continue to do so. We don't make drama, you bring them drama upon yourself.

Can toy PM me the users name? Someone did the same thing to me on facebook about the new DSF pins offering me them at an extorcionate mark up and they are being pretty pushy, not sure whether to block or not. The name rings a bell too, I am pretty sure they have have been booted out of a few facebook groups too.
