Another wrist banded random draw release
i hope there's a surprise release. it'd be a nice reward for the people who went today for having to put up with them trying out a new system on them

I have actually only been there for the Iron Man release. All other releases, since the BT release, I've skipped. If you have peeked at my owns list and noticed that I have all the subsequent pins, then you must not know that my wife continues to go. Any married man will know that it is impossible to stop their wives from doing anything they really want to do. So my boycott has been singular. Just me. Except for that Iron Man release. :)

The full lottery is a change that will bring me back and I would like it to work out well. Therefore, my frustration in DSF screwing up simple, time honored, orderly, distributions. Granted, the lottery makes camp outs null and void and places in line technically don't matter. But emotionally they do matter. They should have wristbanded in order of the traditional line. As you can see, people are upset. I'm not even there and I'm upset about the chaotic distribution, because I want this to work. I don't like the cost involved for my wife to constantly camp. My wife is tired of the camp, but it was the only way to get pins. This lottery is better on my wallet and I get to see my wife on Friday nights.

that'll be a nice compromise, if neither of you have to camp out but can both go to the release on the morning of

Your wife must have a lot of patience or really wants the pins to keep putting up with the DSF release chaos. Lol!

I absolutely love the Monsters U logo pin. So simple and yet so fun. If only I wasn't 2000 miles away I would have been there bright and early. Not sure about the WFRR pin, though. Seems really out of place with the Monsters. Congratulations to everyone who will be getting these pins.

My wife is sooo pin obsessed and it all my fault for getting her into this. :) She's the ChatMaster 5000 and really enjoys talking to all her pin friends. Her and her friends didn't want all the crazy DSF stuff to stop or sour them on their beloved hobby, so they endured all the chaos and kept doing what they love doing. There's probably a few other people out there who did the exact same thing and their enthusiasm for the hobby has probably helped with the surge in pin collecting/trading.
 
This was a total mess. I wasn't so lucky (#271)...and I'm not so much upset that I wasn't able to purchase the pins, but upset over how something so simple and meant to be fair can be taken advantage of...there was three mob crowds trying to get a wristband/voucher. They should have gone in order of the line just to keep things orderly and have them go more smoothly. Oh well, you win some and you lose some.

FYI though, if you're planning to go to next week's releases, do like everyone in that line did and bring 12 friends/family (seriously, who are all those people?). Babysit 4+ kids if you have to that day...it increases your chances of MAYBE drawing at least a number below 150.
