2013 Fairytale Designer Collection
Alex I'm so sorry! This weekend is turning into a nightmare. $500 for Snow already. She's gorgeous but I wish genuine collectors had a chance :(

I absolutely refuse to pay someone who is the reason that my friend wasted his convention. I will not be buying this doll for more than $200.
It cost him so, so much money to get there. We live in Michigan. This was the chance of a life time and I feel like he wasted it on a line. :(
If people hadn't gotten more than one per person, with the purpose of selling, this wouldn't have happened.

Agreed. It should have been 1pp.

It's crazy that there are over 100 of the Snow White D23 exclusive DOLL on EBAY at the moment!!!!!! I like having eBay around.......However, it brings out the worst in greedy people buying up all the stock, just to make a profit:/ I'm really wondering if this is going to be dollmagenden all over again???

Well with 100 of them on eBay, if no one buys them, the scalpers ultimately will be stuck with stock.

Honestly, I feel like the reaction to the fairytale collection has been mixed and not as overwhelmingly positive as the original designer series. I do think scalpers are going to try to scalp these on eBay, but I don't feel like the returns as going to be as high.

That is true, it's been very mixed reviews....I def think that Ariel will be the most sought after

I'm sorry for those that did not get gold Snow White. I feel bad posting. That I got one. I spent 6 hours in line with my husbend. Thank god he was there. For bathroom breaks and food. I'm so happy. Then sad for those that did not get her. Sorry.

To bad your friend missed on the doll ElysionsPrincess :/ if I was in your place, I would have been extremely mad as well. The Golden Snow White now retails for a price of $500-600 on Ebay. Although I kinda consider it a "Fair Price" as for those who couldn't go save prices on the D23 entrance, plane tickets, hotel stays, food, and hours and hours of waiting in long lines, I don't feel like on spending that much on Prince Charming and Snow White.

There was one Snow set on ebay where it started at $130, and then the bids brought it up to over $400. That I totally understand, because people will spend what they're willing to spend. What ticks me off though is when it's a Buy it Now at $500 :\ Does that make any sense?

Don't be sorry! I am so happy for everyone who got one for their collection. I am just saddened that some of us were denied them because of resellers. Please post pictures of your amazing doll!! :)

Sounds like at least 100 possible true collectors were denied due to resellers. On one hand it makes it possible for someone who can't go to get one (if you're willing to pay), but on the other hand it denied lots of collectors who went there for the doll and missed out.

The after-market kills me for actual collectors. People just wanting to get money... ugh it's just sad :(.

So the preorder for the set was still available this morning my guess is that 500-1,000 units were up for preorder during the expo then maybe another 1000 during the online release which means that they will probably have only 4,000 units for sale during the releases throughout August-September. It will be intereting to see how fast year dolls sell because I have been getting mixed reviews from a lot of collectors. The funny thing is that even if they do not like them they still buy them to complete their collection so reviews are not really a good indication of overall demand.

That is really not fair that people can buy more than one. You would think they would limit it to one per person. Especially since there are only 600 why would they allow someone to buy more than one. I know if I was there in line for all that time and missed out and I saw somebody leaving with 10 I would probably freak out and it wouldn't be pretty haha. But really that is terrible. Gold Snow is very pretty but $600? It never ceases to amaze me how greedy people are. Sorry to everyone who couldn't get her )-:

Hahaha! I think your tantrum would be worth it to see. And then when they "magically find one in the back", I'd so be like,"Yeah he's with me and I didn't get one either so...get me one too or he'll go off again." ;)
I'm just grateful it wasn't an exclusive villain doll or else I would so be using all my resources to get one from the convention or second hand now.

I believe all limited edition items in the Disney Store were limited to one per person per order. The dolls sold out this afternoon, so they were available for 2 and a half days (Sorcerer people had access first Thursday, Friday and Saturday) while everyone else has access Friday and Saturday.

Not quite :( My friend Gio waited in line for 7 hours and still didn't get one. He said he saw people walking out with multiple dolls per person. They sold out when he was 20 people away from the front. He said it was mostly Sorcerer people in front but he wasn't sure how many bought dolls. I was heartbroken.

When did your friend get there? Was it this morning? Or Friday morning? Just that I waited 8 hours yesterday and was able to get the doll. They were just going to release 250 that day but I think they ended up releasing all of them during the day. So i don't think there was much left to sell today. I waited in line again today for about 4 hours and by then the snow white exclusive had sold out.

Just FYI they did actually limit all purchases to one per customer. They even went so far as to day one per customer with each customer being a person over 18. So this stopped people that bought their kids along to buy multiple dolls and claim their child was another person. I think your friend would have seen one person carrying the dolls but that person would have been there with their family or friends. Either that or the person that was at the checkout was not monitoring it properly.

I can tell you we got there at 3:45 am and barely got ours! Luckily me and my friends were able to get one. So what happened to make today soooo miserable was that they formed us into one big line for the disney store..then at the other end of the hall formed one line for the disney dream store/arena...(that line moves quicker) they got in the store and b lined it to the disney store and butted in front of all of us!!! When i asked what time they got there they said 6am and they weren't sorcerer peeps!!!! I was very unhappy to say the least! Being 2 rows from the disney store turned into hundreds of ppl in line. Luckily they did sell ALL their stock they had saved for tomorrow today so we ended up with ours... I missed out on the ariel pins that i wanted :( but got snow white at least.

There was a family of 3 that have been waiting in line since 6pm the night before!!! TWICE!!! They messed up letting the wrong line in on the Fri so that family missed out that day, and then today this happened, so he got sooo upset started a fight! Which I don't blame him... 6pm twice!

But with patience and sooo many of us that complained since we were there so early they release their whole stock.

It is limit one per PERSON not household but person... 18 and over and can't use same credit card, each needs to be different name on credit card or cash. They were super strict on this, so Polaris is correct if you see people holding multiple box is because of family or friends there. Each person still checked out separately and paid separate. I saw a lady try to argue to get the ursula vinylmation and lost. Trying to use her kid.

We were total wait time from outside to check out was at least 9 hours or soooo i think we got out of the check out line at 1:00 or 1:30pm cuz they had a lot of system problems.

100 Snow White on ebay is just crazy, irrational, illogical. :|
The funny-crazy thing is the reaction of people for these sets: on facebook TONS of people say: "I will not get them! TOO PRICEY! 129 Dollars!!!" and after it? ALL in line for a "exclusive" limited snow white, who cost 129 as well!... Very consistent..very smart!

I mean: money are important, but,.. seriously? You buy a limited doll and resell her the same day? And not 10-20 on ebay,..100 +!!!

...I have really no words inside for this thing :|

Come on! DON'T buy these dolls! They will be lower someday. Resist to the temptation.. if you want Snow white you have 2 chances August 20 and 21!

I'm sorry for many of you wish to buy her and don't have it! Specially for the user ElysionsPrincess :(

Crazy people, is so unfair. Disney should change radically something (maybe check the buyer is a true collector ? A photo with the buyer and his collection ,:D? I'm crazy too?)

Hi Guys,

Dont forget that even with the restriction of one per doll that does not stop sorcerer members or anyone really from going to the Disney Store the next day and then buying the dolls again. So whilst the Disney Store was very strict on this policy they do not really have a way of monitoring whether or not a person has already purchased a doll or not. To be honest everyone's tickets had a barcode that could be scanned. I think what Disney should try to implement is that the barcode be used to link the sale to, that way whenever a person buys a doll it gets linked to the ticket via the barcode so if they try to purchase another they will have their barcode scanned and it will tell the cast member that the person has already purchased one.

By the time I got into the DisneyStore today it was about 12:30pm and there were no dolls left, no pins and no designer lithos, there were however still some Ariel lithos. They still also had some Designer sets for pre-order hence why i thought that either they had about 1,000 sets for preorder or that not very many people had ordered them in advance.

BTW guys I uploaded more pics of the expo including more pics of the designer dolls, i tried to take pictures after remembering points raised by people on the forum, I can take more as I will be going back tomorrow, so if there is something specific you wanted to see, let me know and I will try take the pics tomorrow.

Sorry I am not able to upload the pics individually on here as I just dont have the time but you can check it out on my flickr
