Was anyone able to get the Princess Designer Couples Pin Set from DS?

I had placed my mug and stuff order yesterday around 7 am with my time (5 am PST ) and I just got shipping confirmation mins ago. Yay! mugs .. LOL ..

I think Designer Gis comes with a Free-D leather jacket with the Wreck-It Ralph logo silk-screened on the front left chest. Probably wearing jeans, of course designer jeans which are actually stickers set into the pin. And a pair of designer tennis shoes with real rope laces. Oh, don't forget the designer sunglasses too, with plastic bubble lenses. Now, how to work in a hinge, dangle, and spinner?

Ok..... I came home from work and read your post about the guy on eBay that had lowered his prices to 999.99 then raised them again to 1199.97. I read how he had removed his listings from eBay also. So..... I wanted to make sure my husband did not use him for our set for Christmas that he had just bought yesterday. So I asked my husband, was the set you bought from IL? YES!!!!!! It was. I almost fell out! He said the person emailed him this morning and said all of his orders from DS.com were cancelled today. My husband had already paid too. The person on ebay has already issued a full refund to my husband and said he would not be able to send the pin set. Therefore, this person was selling sets that they didn't even have yet!! Of course, my husband knew I would just die so he has already order another set that he was assured was in hand and shipping out tomorrow. I don't think it's a good idea to sell something you don't have yet. Especially at those prices.

Secondly, I want to take time to say that I understand having to pay more for pins because I don't live close enough to any parks to get them myself. However, I know there have been discussions about how outragious the prices have become for the designer pieces, this set imparticular. But, the person we bought our set from sent my husband an email thanking him for his purchase. She also gave him a little background to what his money was going toward. Her little baby boy was diagnosed with autism. She had to quick work to stay home to take care of him. They have been to countless neurologist and doctors seeking help for their son. They have a huge amount of medical bills to take care of. This sale helped cover getting them in to d23 plus going toward her son's medical expenses. For some folks, It's actually sink or swim situations. My husband and I discussed it and were actually very glad our purchase will be helping someone in need. She sent him pictures of her and her family including her son. I think everything worked out for the best. . Maybe this was God's plan to help someone in need.

Lastly, I know my order was cancelled by Disney for the pin set but I did order lithographs, journals, etc. at the same time. I did get my shipping confirmation this afternoon. Disney stated my items were on the way with tracking. So, I'm glad that went through.
 
Thank you! I am hoping so too. :) There are two others who potentially got them (still an active status), but I am not disclosing their names because IDK if they want to be known. So I am thinking that they MAY have had about 5-10 sets. A friend of mine said that on Saturday, when they wristbanded, there were at least 5 sets behind the counter that were unclaimed by wristband holders. The CMs apparently refused to sell the sets to anyone without a wristband, so they may have just...sat there? I'm not sure what happened to them, but if there are any available, I am thinking those were the ones. Or they had a private reserve lol. Still not holding my breath though! :eek:

Alex, I did it with paypal as well and it still says pending charge. I called DS myself and they told me over the phone that my order was cancelled. Because yours says active if I were you I would call DS to confirm if yours went through.

I'm afraid to call...I may just cry if they tell me it is cancelled! ;-; I will try and be brave after I eat dinner.
 
Okay, update! Called the Disney Store Guest Services. She said that my order was Active and should ship by tomorrow! I asked if I could upgrade the shipping, and she said she couldn't even edit it because it was "processing and already in progress," (whatever that means!). Still not getting toooooo excited until they are physically, actually, in my hands. Because like Garret said, they could send me anything!
